"A very disappointing stay overall. On arrival, if you come before 2 PM, you are not given a room even when the hotel is almost empty, which is understandable. However, no commercial gesture is offered, even for a 6-night stay. Several issues were encountered in the room and facilities: -No hot water -Strong unpleasant smells coming from the drainage -Some bathroom doors not closing properly -Refrigerator dirty and smelly Cleanliness is generally poor: -Cockroaches and other insects were present, inside and around the bed -Rubbish bins were often overflowing, both inside and outside the property Overall maintenance needs significant improvement and investment. The swimming pool and its surroundings were also not consistently clean. Some local guests were seen swimming in T-shirts, which further affects the already questionable cleanliness of the pool. Another concern is the room allocation system: “Eco” rooms are placed on the top floor, which is much hotter, even when other floors appear to have availability, even when the hotel is almost empty. This gives the impression that guests are encouraged to pay extra for air conditioning. You can read many comments on booking platforms confirming this. The property is sometimes presented on booking platforms as a newly built hotel, which is misleading. In reality, it is an older building that shows its age, with a visible lack of maintenance and limited recent investment from the current management. Even though this hotel operates with a social mission similar to an NGO, with part of the profits reportedly used to support access to education for young Cambodians, these conditions remain unacceptable. Many of the issues mentioned in this review are not new and have already been reported in previous guest reviews across different platforms. Responses from management also appear inconsistent and sometimes contradictory when addressing these concerns. On a positive note, the younger staff members were genuinely professional, friendly, and very pleasant throughout the stay. They were definitely a highlight of the experience. Overall, despite the good attitude of the staff, the condition of the hotel does not reflect good value for money. For the same price, better-maintained accommodation can easily be found in Kampot."

"I can confidently say this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at so far in Cambodia. It’s located in a very central area, within walking distance to the main attractions. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The air conditioning works perfectly and cools the room very well. There is a smart TV with internet access, and it runs smoothly without any issues. The reception staff are professional and helpful. They clearly know what they’re doing and are always ready to assist. The hotel also provides motorcycle parking. At night, security takes the motorcycles inside and places them back outside in the morning, which I really appreciated from a safety perspective. There is an elevator in the building, which is convenient. This is my second stay at this hotel, and they even recognized me upon check-in. Although check-in is officially at 2 PM, they kindly gave me my room at 12 PM. Hot water is available with no problems. My room also had a balcony, which is great if you want to step outside and get some fresh air. Both the room itself and the bathroom are quite spacious. The price is also very reasonable. Honestly, under these conditions, I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in the Kampot area. If you’re looking for a clean, reliable, centrally located hotel without unpleasant surprises, I highly recommend staying here."

"I got there quite late, and the chef was very nice to help me prepare a chicken rice dinner. The lobby felt cozy and warm, and breakfast was immaculate, the chef was nice enough to let me try both the egg Benedict and the avocado toast.
