"This is the first time that I write a negative review. This makes me sad. We stayed with 4 people at this hotel in August 2023 for 7 days. We booked directly with the hotel. Our booking included breakfast. Already after one day we realized that having breakfast in the hotel did not suit us (It did not fit in our day planning). We contacted the reception to cancel our breakfast reservation. This was accepted, but we have no written proof of this. At check-out we were surprised to see that the breakfast was still charged on our credit card. This means that we were charged 300 euro for breakfast that we did not take ! The hotel refuses to repay us this amount (in full or even partly). Lessons learnt : - do NOT book breakfast in advance - do NOT book directly with the hotel but use external booking sites (eg. ***********, etc) it is clear that we will not return to this hotel."

"The property is located in a relaxing position, wonderful view of the sea, close to the main center of the island. Pebble coves just below the hotel, sandy beach 10 minutes walk with paved path. Minimarkets within walking distance, very well-stocked supermarkets a few km away by car. Clean rooms, good food but could be improved in terms of variety. The property is developed on several levels - there are stairs to climb to reach the hall and the restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff both in the room and at reception, also for information and suggestions on excursions. Renting a car is recommended to see the most beautiful spots on the island. Tip: some of the roads, even to reach the beaches, have curves or are narrow. It is a good idea to get information to evaluate which spots are easily reachable or it is preferable to participate in an organized excursion. Not to be missed, as recommended in the hotel: excursion to Olympos."

"We spent, me and my wife and a couple of friends, a wonderful week in Althea. The studios are spacious, simply but warmly furnished and clean. In the kitchen the set of all the details are perfect for a family. Maria's breakfasts so creative with, every day, a different selection of territory products perfectly cooked. A wonderful view on the Amopi’s bay drinking a coffee on the terrace of Althea. The pure sense of hospitality. Thanks Maria"

"A family-run hotel, the owner Nicos has always been kind and helpful. It's a hotel that doesn't sell itself as something it isn't; if you're looking for luxury and comfort, this isn't for you. The location is truly strategic, very close to the beach and fifteen minutes from the center of Pigadia. The beds are very comfortable and the cleanliness is good. It's a shame about the breakfast, which is rather meager (it could be better), and that we were asked to change rooms at the beginning of our stay. Otherwise, our experience was very positive!"

"Great location - to enjoy sunset in balcony, 2 min walk to restaurants, 100 from grocery store. Lush garden around appartments. Nice morning walks in shade and wind with our PWD to hill and evening shade in peninsula. Big thanks to Jenny and her mother for hospitality ..we felt like living with our family. Great location for surfing, windsurfing and climbimg ..nearny Finiki and Adia has new bolted routes."

"I went to the Poseidon with my family over the summer and everything was great. I've always wanted to visit a greek Island so Karpathos was a dream coming true. At first we were unsure which hotel to choose but the Poseidon was definetly the pefrect choice for us. We had a beautiful view on the island from our room which we loved. The Staff was very nice and helpful and we felt instantly welcomed. I really enjoyed my stay there and can't wait to go back next summer."

Lemon Tree House ★★★

"Expecting much more for the money we paid; no shower gel available in the bathroom. Room was small with a small balcony looking at a narrow dead end street.Breakfast was basic;no fresh orange juice provided and little variety of fruit and vegetables. There was no wi-fi connection in the room though it was included in the amenities. Narrow staircase leading to the rooms and no elevator for those carrying heavy luggage. Hotel is located in the heart of Pigadia but parking nearby is another issue as the roads around it are very narrow."
