Hotels in Lianhuachi area, Kunming

Let me first explain why I booked this hotel: I chose it because of its ”newly opened in 2025” and the ”Xiaoshanqing series.” I had stayed at other Ji Hotel Xiaoshanqing hotels in other cities before and had a very good impression. However, this time, I was quite disappointed. The biggest problem was the high percentage of rooms with a strong smoky smell. The first room we were assigned had a very strong smoky smell. After requesting a room change, the front desk gave us a key card for a second room, but the smoky smell was even stronger than the first room. We then asked the cleaning staff to check several empty rooms on the same floor, and almost every one of them had some degree of odor. Finally, we had to ask a front desk staff member to come upstairs and take us to another floor to find a room that was somewhat acceptable. Secondly, there was the service attitude and the handling of the aftermath. We went through a lot of trouble changing rooms, and no staff member offered any reassurance or apology. I asked the cleaning staff and other staff: ”Don't you report rooms with a smoky smell when you clean them? Why do you keep giving them to guests?” They both replied: ”The cleaning staff's noses are probably used to it; some guests are more sensitive and that's why they notice the problem.” The staff stated that they couldn't do anything about the guests smoking. During the room change process, the male receptionists were rather indifferent. The first complaint was about the smell of smoke, and secondly, they didn't want a corner room. The staff directly told the guests over the phone: ”You want to be away from the elevator and you don't want a corner room...” But there were several standard rooms available between the elevator and the end of the corridor on that floor. Was it inappropriate for the staff to respond like that? Furthermore, throughout the entire room change process, the staff never apologized for the inconvenience. Compared to other brand hotels that proactively follow up and offer multiple reassurances in similar situations, the Ji Hotel offered no follow-up inquiries or concern. On the other hand, the female receptionists on the day of check-out were much more enthusiastic and proactive. In conclusion: The hotel's facilities are fine, but the smoke management and service attitude are truly disappointing. If you are sensitive to smoke, I suggest you carefully consider this hotel. I hope the hotel will pay more attention to room status management and staff training.

The room was spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The bathroom was well-designed, and the room had excellent ventilation, with no strange odors. The facilities were new, and there were many dining options nearby. I chose this hotel to see the jacarandas, and it's not too far from Jiaochangzhong Road, which was a convenient walk. Youtubebqiao Bridge and the Panlong River banks are also very close. Overall, a really good stay.

The hotel is located in a side door of Yunnan Normal University. It is very convenient to visit the former site of Southwest United University. It is also very close to Cuihu Lake. The room layout is quite comfortable. There is no elevator and no parking lot. It will be a bit inconvenient.

The hotel is conveniently located next to Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, with easy access to transportation. The facilities are comprehensive, the smart speaker in the room is responsive, the furnishings are comfortable, and everything is clean. The environment is pleasant, and the room offers complimentary value-added services. The breakfast at the restaurant has a good variety. The front desk provides free ginger tea, lemon tea, ice cream, and coffee. Highly recommended, I would definitely stay here again.

It is very convenient to provide 24 hours. The hotel restaurant has a rich breakfast menu, as well as Yunnan's unique small pot rice noodles. The hotel's environment and facilities are so excellent that I feel happy every moment here. Whether it is a short stay or a long-term residence, this is a perfect choice.

The hotel is surrounded by universities so the area is quiet but not far away from central. The room was decent but great for the price. If you take Didi, make sure the pickup point is at the hotel’s parking lot (the lady at the front desk can help you!) because if u follow the default pickup point, it will point to the bus station in the main road and you’d need to walk a bit outside (from my experience, Didi’s drivers would rarely wait). Overall recommended.

The room was great, the bed was the same as at home, the mattress and bedding were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, the water heater had fast hot water, the room was very clean, the location was easy to find, there was a lively shopping area downstairs, and it was convenient to eat and drink.

My top choice for visiting Kunming! Affordable, clean, and easy to find. The check-in guide provided by the housekeeper was very detailed and thoughtful, and they even recommended nearby restaurants and attractions. Thumbs up! Great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

All the facilities are brand new. The bathroom features an excellent wet-dry separation, and the smart toilet and shower system were particularly impressive. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are of high quality. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, even proactively letting me know the breakfast location. The rice noodles at the first-floor restaurant were also quite tasty. Overall, it offers great value for money. Highly recommended!

It solves all the pain points of noisy environments, uneven equipment, and maybe insufficient hardware at home, and inconvenient gathering of teammates. The price is more cost-effective than going to a high-end Internet cafe, and the experience is a comprehensive upgrade. Whether it is a friend who opens the black, the team training, or if you want to come to an immersive experience, this is the best choice. I have made an appointment with my teammates to fight again next time!
