Great location located near the free tram zone. Staff was incredibly friendly and great to deal with. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in Melbourne.
Stay Inspired at The Larwill Studio Melbourne - Art Series, our boutique hotel on Flemington Road in the thriving suburb of Parkville. Just a hop away from the CBD, Melbourne Zoo, Queen Victoria Markets, Flemington Race Track, Melbourne University and a myria d of unique cafes and boutiques, it's an enviable location. Dedicated to the Australian artist David Larwill, the boutique hotel draws inspiration from his Studio. Bright, playful Larwill works complement the hotel's design and views.

Beautiful stay, it’s great for a local feel but not central though you can catch the tram into the city easily, in 10 minutes. The hotel is stunningly decorated with Larwill paintings, and the room are tidy. I hoped there was a pool or gym or at least I didn’t see any, but it’s convenient that there’s a supermarket through the hospital connection to the hotel and the other amenities like hairdressers, et cetera there. It was close to our Fitzroy and our friends so we will be back.

I chose the Mercure brand as the name has a good reputation. I chose Mercure North Melbourne as it was very convenient to where I had meetings to attend over a two day period. Though I felt safe and comfortable in the hotel, I did think the hotel was quite ‘tired and tardy’’ looking. I would suggest it needs an overhaul - a ‘facelift’ and a total refurbishment to raise its standard.

The motel was in a great location for our day trip to Flemington races and then after the races was close to numerous pubs which we enjoyed a nice meal and entertainment. The room was a little dated but very clean and well set out. I would return again to this hotel.

It's quite a long walk from Southern Cross Station, and some of the paths are narrow, making it difficult to pull luggage. The front desk is on the second floor, and self-check-in is available. Since I arrived early and wanted to check in sooner, I paid an extra $25 per night to upgrade to a queen room with a desk. The deposit was $100. The room facilities were complete, though the shower head in the bathroom was fixed overhead and only allowed for direction adjustment. There were plenty of TV channels, including Phoenix TV for Chinese viewers. The staff on the ground floor were very friendly.

The hotel is in a quiter part of Melbourne outside of CBD. The wifi is good until I had my business Teams call which became slightly jittery.

The hotel has excellent location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Only detail is the room could have more amenities, it was quite simple. Overall very good, it also helped us to have a very pleasant trip.

The room was very quiet, and the bathroom was spotless. The kitchen area was large and well-equipped. They have a cinema, study room, rooftop, kitchen, and gym. The night view from the rooftop is absolutely stunning.

It was on amazing location one minutes walk to new year fireworks. Pizza, cafe, Bars, Woolies,Aldi, just down the building and district of Dockland shopping center in 3minites walk, 2 minutes walk to public parking. Appartments has its own car park that you have to pay extra. 24/7 help desk. Fully secured place. We enjoyed our stay.
Beds in rooms were ok, sofa bed was not comfortable, you literally feel the springs poking your back. We were 5 people so we needed that extra bed which was disappointment.

Great
GGuest UserClean, comfortable, specious. Kitchen had everything what you need, everything was provided by the landlord. Washing machine and dryer worked very well. We were happy with this accommodation.
CChilundaiwangThe room was very good, nothing to say, the boss was very nice, he introduced the local characteristics to us, the most heartwarming thing was that on the last day of check-out, the luggage was left in the room, and you could pick it up whenever you left, just leave the room card at the front desk
GGuest UserWhen checking in at night, you need to communicate the password with the hotel in advance by email, get the room card by yourself, and there are cooking utensils in the room. It is also very convenient.

Good
GGuest UserThis is a good location and the rooms are spacious with a good layout, however there were a few issues with the room. I took photos of a range of things like a broken bedside table drawer, chewing gum on the bathroom bin, marks on the walls, broken foot pedal on the main bin, brown frozen liquid in the ice cube container in the freezer, stained coffee cups, folded up corner of the rug etc. Also note that parking is available, but not included. The check in instructions will provide you with information on how to access the car park without mentioning the price, but it is not free, there is a daily fee for the car park and the turning space on the ramp to access the bottom level of the car park is quite tight, however there are some parks on the first level which allowed us to avoid the curved ramp.
The location is a great spot if you have a car, not far from the free tram zone on the edge of the city, close to Carlton where there are great food options. All of the issues were only small things that didn't ruin our stay, this could be a great place to stay with a bit more attention to detail and customer care. I received no response to my emails showing photos of the issues in the room. They also required photos of my drivers license and both sides of my credit card for after hours check in which I was a bit uncomfortable with. I hope they can address the issues and provide a better customer experience as the location is great and the rooms were spacious and comfortable with a table, lounge area and 2 bedrooms in our room. I'd be happy to stay here again and hopefully the issues have been addressed to make it a great experience.
AAnonymous UserFirst time living in a hostel and already have some expectations of what is it going to be like
Since feedback is that the shower heater does not work well where it gets cold and switches to hot suddenly causing my body to get burnt
I was told that I can arrive early and store my luggage first but I didn’t expect that what they mean by storing is leaving my bag on the open vide floor in the corner of the pub (definitely know that it won’t be kept safe since the employees themselves are busy running the pub)
The room is very smelly
Like smellier than what I expected
