"The hotel is very nice, a real classical beauty. The public spaces and the pool are very nice too, and the breakfast is good. The only thing I really disliked is the Checkin/Checkout process... We lost a lot of time at the arrival, when all you want is get to your room as quick as possible."

"Great hotel! Honestly don’t have a single complaint. I have been travelling for months now and this was by far the cleanest hotel we stayed at with the best service and amenities (despite having stayed at more expensive ones). Really nice and helpful staff and very good and flexible room service. On top of it all the views are crazy. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the beach and about a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants. To improve the experience it would have been nice if they provided things like toothbrushes, tooth paste, etc which I’ve received at other hotels but those are extras that definitely don’t affect the rating or experience."

"The hotel is located on quiet corner, at the start of Barra da Tijuca. There aren't amenities in walking distance, but there is a cafe across the street and a couple upscale restaurants. It has a sauna on demand and a gym, but the best is the beach - guarded, good for surfing and swimming. The room was large, with enough closet space for a longer solo stay. The bed was huge, very comfy, great shower. Breakfast has a lot of fruit and pastry variety, including local options."

"The room had a problem with a clogged bathroom sink, the smart TV froze during broadcasts, making it impossible to watch, and other channels also had a delay, negatively impacting the entertainment experience. The air conditioning leaked. The delay in changing rooms caused me to lose 3 hours. The phone service and room service delivery were slow. Overall, a poor experience, which led to this low rating."

"O atendimento da recepção, limpeza, restaurante foi bom. Quanto à acomodação, ficamos num quarto não confortável e solicitamos troca no segundo dia e fomos atendidos de pronto. Era maior mas com alguns problemas: o vaso sanitário estava meio solto e havia 2 camas ee solteiro que foram colocadas juntas para virar uma de casal. Porém, um dos colchões era mais baixo, mais mole e muito desconfortável para dormir. Por 2 dias, ao chegar ao amanhecer, encontramos a recepção sem nenhum funcionário e em um dos dias, a porta estava totalmente aberta. Isso é preocupante quanto a segurança, pois qualquer pessoa poderia entrar. Os refrescos oferecidos no restaurante eram de baixa qualidade e muito doces. Os demais itens foram bons dentro do esperado mas não excedeu as expectativas."

"A very well-maintained hotel. Wonderfully clean room. Fantastic breakfast (with a wide selection of meals), and a shuttle service from the hotel to the beach, shopping center, and metro station. I have absolutely nothing to complain about! Due to my late return flight, I was allowed a late checkout until 3 PM at no extra cost! Scandinavian standards at a very reasonable price! Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"This property has the potential to be amazing, but it needs a few key updates. The location is fabulous, the staff is excellent, and the restaurant is great both in terms of service and food quality. The room was spacious, and the balcony was unbeatable. If you only speak English, you can get by staying here because all of the staff speak excellent English. We encountered a problem when the showerhead broke off, but the repairman came reasonably quickly to replace it, and he was very polite and not disruptive. We ordered room service, and Dom Rio, the hotel’s restaurant, delivered it quickly. I had the filet which was cooked properly to the correct temperature (medium rare). My fiancé had the alfredo pasta which she liked a lot. The breakfast had a huge selection, and everything tasted good. The only thing keeping this hotel from earning top marks is the general state of much of the decor in the rooms. The curtains look shabby and dirty from moisture, and the wood of the cabinets is warped also. It is very hard to maintain a room that is constantly exposed to salt water and ocean breeze, but the materials chosen have not stood up to age. I would recommend staying here if you are interested in staying in Barra at a nice but reasonably priced hotel, but don’t expect the finest luxury. Expect a very large, fairly clean room with a comfortable bed and an amazing view."

"O café da manhã não possui uma disposição boa para transitar pelo salão, o buffet fica em várias posições do salão. As bebidas do serviço de quarto são caras e a diária do estacionamento é salgado, não há opção de estacionamento rotativo. A piscina apesar bem apresentada possui uma escada que para pessoas mais pesadas pode quebrar e vc virar o mico da piscina. O restaurante possui poucas opções de pratos e um pouco com preço fora de mercado aos demais da região."
