I stayed at Hotel Victoria Lauberhorn in the beautiful mountain village of Wengen, and it turned out to be a fantastic base for exploring the area. One of the biggest advantages is its location — the hotel is right next to the train station, which makes arrival and departure incredibly easy, especially in a car-free village like Wengen. The hotel itself has a welcoming, alpine feel, and the rooms are comfortable and well suited for both short and longer stays. I had breakfast included, and it was a great way to start the day before heading out into the mountains. There was a good selection available, and the setting made it even more enjoyable with the surrounding scenery. One of the standout features of this hotel is the wellness area. After a day of exploring or being out in the mountains, having access to a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and spa facilities makes a big difference. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind, especially if you’re visiting in colder months or after a long day of hiking or skiing. From a practical point of view, being right next to the train station means you have quick and easy access to nearby destinations like Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, and Jungfraujoch. It makes getting around the region very straightforward without needing to worry about transport logistics. I would highly recommend Hotel Victoria Lauberhorn to anyone visiting Wengen. What a pleasant surprise! They reserved the room with the best view for us. I loved every detail about this hotel and really didn't want to leave. Apparently, this hotel is over 400 years old. The lobby manager was like a butler, warmly welcoming us home. Everyone was in the restaurant, listening to the piano, drinking, and chatting. Breakfast isn't your typical industrial buffet, nor is it overly luxurious, but it's nutritious and substantial. You absolutely have to try the fruit and yogurt mix!

The front desk staff were very warm and humorous. I checked out during the day and asked them to store my luggage. When I went back to pick it up in the evening to catch the last bus, I was in a hurry. They comforted me, saying there was still time, and gave me a bottle of water. They also wished me a pleasant journey. I was really touched. I wish the hotel would do better and better and the staff would be happy every day.

Very good location , walk only 3 mins from train station . Though room is small, everything needed are there. The balcony is perfect facing the mountain view which we can have some drinks there. All day have coffee and tea ready for us.. They are not allowed to cook at room but with a microwave in the small area of dining room. This is good . Highly recommend this hotel and will visit again next time .Breakfast is perfect .

Extremely good location, right next to the train station, easy to get the bus to the center of Grindelwald and First; everything you need is here, highly recommend; the cat Pepper is cute.

Jingmei, the service is very good, but the bed is too soft, and it is a big bed made of two single beds. It would be perfect if these two problems can be solved.

Very satisfied! The room is large and new, and the service is attentive; the minibar has plenty of drinks; it faces the snow-capped mountains! There is a nice swimming pool; the breakfast is average! Recommended!

The room was beautiful and cozy, with lovely decor, and we could see the Eiger mountain right from our window. For Switzerland, this price offers excellent value for money. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of choices. The only thing to note is that the hotel is located on the mountaintop. It's best to take public transport up and down. If you miss the last bus at 6 PM, make sure to select the driving route on Google Maps to go up the mountain, as it's much better than walking. I wouldn't recommend walking if you're not in good physical shape.

Best stay in Grindelwald! Center of everything. Great view of Eiger in our room and breakfast. Super Perfect stay with Best POOL view! Bucket list stay in Switzerland. Price is quite expensive but super worth it. Get the Eiger View Rooms and Adore the Views! Best family Stay. The downside is the shower. Its still old school. So for PWD or Oldies pls beware you might fall.

The staff is very helpful and the view from the hotel terrace is great.
