"Free minibar really surprised us. They were also restocked every day. Amenities were excellent. Location was good tho not excellent.
The worst part was the receptionist who checked us in looked like she really hated her job.
Super rude."
"This was our second time at the Intercity Hotel, because of the great price and super convenient location directly opposite the main train station with S/U-Bahn and bus lines 👍🏼.
The breakfast room is a bit dated, but the staff were friendly and the breakfast was reasonably varied.
Unfortunately, as in every hotel, the bathroom lighting was a disaster and the bathroom itself was very small. And of course, the parking fees of €25 per day… which seems to be the norm in all hotels now."
"Gute Lage zum Casino und über den Jungfernstieg zum alten Rathaus und etwas essen an der Alster.
Letztes Mal war die Bar aber befüllt und der gesamte Inhalt kostenlos."
"I've stayed at this chain's branch in Frankfurt before, so I chose it again for my trip to Hamburg. It's quiet for sleeping and parking is easy, which is great! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time."
"This is not bad, the location is very good, just 10 minutes walk from the central station, on the main street, there are many supermarket bars nearby , the price is not expensive, the chain brand hotel, the room is slightly smaller, there is a place to hang clothes and wash clothes to dry clothes in the corner, it is worthy of praise! "
"The hotel is in a good location with convenient public transportation.
There are many dining options nearby and the breakfast is also good.
There is a park nearby with beautiful scenery, suitable for walking.
The environment is very quiet, suitable for people who like quiet.
The hygiene is slightly worse, and some waiters are not professional enough, there is room for improvement."
"The staff are so nice. I‘m in the Barclays Arena for a concert and needed the physical ticket to go in which I left in my hotel room because I have a digital ticket. I called them if they can go to my room and take a photo of my ticket, they did it so quickly and they‘re so friendly. I‘m so grateful. 🥰"
"The service was great, breakfast wasn't cheap at €29 but it was great! Unfortunately the evening meal wasn't that good for us, which is why we only ate it once!!! The fact that the sink is in the living/bedroom takes a bit of getting used to, the industrial floor is unfortunately much too cold in the cold season, there should be instructions for using the TV, coffee machine, lighting, etc.!!! Unfortunately there are ONLY a few hotel parking spaces and the entrance from the street is only visible at second glance, when there is heavy traffic or poor visibility the entrance should be better/earlier visible!!!"
"Super friendly service at check-in and check-out. Very good breakfast buffet. Very clean room with a great view. Great bar. We'd love to come back again."

Great
AAnonymous UserMy stay at the Crowne Plaza Hamburg - City Alster was absolutely superb. From the moment I arrived, the elegant and professional atmosphere was noticeable.
The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a incredibly comfortable bed and a fantastic view. The location is also ideal for both enjoying the beautiful Alster lake and accessing the city center.
It’s the attentive service and premium amenities that set this hotel apart. I felt thoroughly pampered and would not hesitate to return for another luxurious stay.
GGuest UserI had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, very clean, and overall feels well maintained. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. I especially liked that coffee and drinks are available anytime, which is a really nice touch. The breakfast was also great, and the pancake machine was such a cute and fun addition. I would also like to give a special thank you to Adrian at the front desk (I hope I spelled his name correctly). He was absolutely fantastic, very kind, professional, and genuinely caring. He communicated clearly and handled everything very well. I even noticed he was training other colleagues, and it was obvious that he understands the business and customer service extremely well. He really made a positive difference during my stay.
There was unfortunately one issue with housekeeping during my stay. I had stayed one day, liked it so much stayed 4 more days. On my first day, on several occasions a cleaner entered or attempted to enter my room early in the morning even though check-out was at 12:00. On my first day they knocked at 11am/12/12.30 and actually came in at 12pm, although I had paid for late check out (which by the way is an amazing option to have), while I was still naked in bed. One cleaner in particular — an older woman with short burgundy/brown hair — was quite abrupt. She repeatedly gestured for me to leave quickly. At one point she pointed at her wrist as if indicating a watch and used hand gestures to signal that I should hurry and leave, even though I still had time before check-out. It felt quite uncomfortable, especially as housekeeping knocked once and then opened the door quickly on a couple of occasions. On my last day, someone actually came in at 10AM in the morning. I just do not understand. I know it is a big hotel, I know they have to get a lot of rooms done in a short amount of time. I just do not understand the aggression of demanding a guest to leave so they can clean.
Thankfully, Adrian at the front desk was extremely helpful when I explained the situation. He took my concern seriously and helped communicate with the housekeeping team so it wouldn’t continue. Adrian really saved my stay!
AAnonymous UserGreat stay — second time and still amazing
I had another wonderful stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Hamburg — this was actually my second time here. The first time I stayed with my mother, and this time with my fiancée, and both experiences have been consistently great.
The service is excellent. The staff are always smiling, very kind, and extremely polite, which really makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Everything about the hotel feels lovely and well taken care of.
The gym is nice and well-equipped, perfect if you want to keep up your routine while traveling. Breakfast is amazing — plenty of options and everything fresh and tasty, definitely one of the highlights of the stay.
The location is also fantastic. It’s close to public transport (there’s a tram stop nearby), making it easy to get around the city. There’s also a great falafel/döner spot close by if you’re looking for a late-night snack, which was a fun bonus. Plus, it’s very close to Westfield, where you can enjoy the scenery and find lots of nice restaurants and shops.
Overall, an amazing stay once again. Thank you to the whole team — I’ll definitely be back.
GGuest UserAfter a slight initial confusion during check-in – I'd never booked through a system like this before – I was genuinely thrilled with the quality of the rooms! Super comfortable beds, a fantastic accessible bathroom, and modern room design. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely become regular guests at Sleep Hotels and recommend them to others!
GGuest UserA great hotel for a few days. The staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was really good. Most of the fresh fruit salad convinced me. The flat is quite narrow, and the fact that you come into the parking house only after check-in was not directly visible. But in all, it is absolutely recommended to continue
AAnonymous UserTo the gentlemen reading this, you don't have much choice, but to any ladies out there—I strongly, strongly recommend booking a female-only room. I cannot stress this enough: please choose a female-only room.
Overall, the hostel itself is fantastic. The facilities are decent, the location is unbeatable, and you really can't beat the price. The staff members were super friendly, and the place felt clean. Although this was my first hostel in Germany, I’ve stayed at many hostels around the world, and value-for-money wise, this place is top-notch.
The only issue comes down to some of the other guests. When I checked into my first room, I was hit with a terrible odor as soon as I opened the door, and someone was snoring loudly. I asked to switch rooms right away, and the staff were kind enough to accommodate me. Unfortunately, even in the second room, there was another guest with severe body odor who snored heavily all day long. Because of this, I couldn't relax or get a good night's sleep.
I really don't want it to sound offensive to someone..but my overall experience dropped significantly just because of this single reason.
Maybe I was just unlucky, but those guests seemed to be long-term residents.
So again, ladies, even if it costs a bit more, please do yourself a favor and book a female-only room.
GGuest UserNice hotel in the middle of the city, right next to the central station. Clean and fresh, and the breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our 2-night stay here and i wouldn’t mind staying here when visitibg Hamburg again.
Worth knowing, the hotel has 2 small elevators, one of which was closed for repairs causing long waiting times(especially around breakfast times) if you cant use the stairs for some reason.
BbceeeeeeewThe location is on the Reeperbahn which is very convenient. It is in walking distance to the subways and there are plenty of things to see and do in the area.
The room we were in had a window facing a strip club and there is absolutely no sound proofing. Though they do provide earplugs, it does very little to relive you of the deep base shaking your bed.
We had noisy neighbours.
There was no plug in the sink so if your fiend is asleep and you try wash your face the loud drain sounds will wake them up. Overall, it was alright but I won't go here again.
GGuest UserThe staff were very friendly and helpful. The room with the attached bathroom were clean and up to expectations. The location is Great. A few minutes walk from local transportation and very close (within a walking distance) from Hamburg hbf yet it was very quite.
