The lobby is decent, with a common area where you can sit and chat.

The transportation is convenient overall, but if you use public transportation, you should be careful when you come back at night. You will pass a very dark park. The nearest supermarket is 14 minutes away on foot. If you need anything, you can buy it when you pass by the supermarket and bring it back to the hotel. Otherwise, you have to go out and walk for a long time."

"Great service and clean rooms, pretty much the same room type throughout. The overall design is quite minimalist with large windows, though the weather in Germany was a bit chilly during my stay. Still, it was a good experience. I stayed here for several days, and it offers great value for money. Highly recommended! You can ask the staff for hot water. Also, check-in is after 3 PM."

GGuest UserStayed as a couple at Club King Double room for 5 nights during the Amphi Festival.
Pros:
- Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport.
- Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6).
- Amazing bed.
- Full-size working desk in the room.
- Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly.
- The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge.
- The food was amazing.
Cons:
- The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day.
- Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point).
Overall:
- Highly recommend, would stay again.

The problem is when I arrive to the hotel around 13.00 the staff in morning shift very unpolite. We when there to put our bag and will go out for sightseeing but the words that she said to me very unpolite way. We know check in time is 15.00 we just want to keep our bag. She said it not check in this yet and she say you want to put your bag here? and I answer her yes that why am here she very unfriendly. She even not check my book. We are going out for sightseeing and come back around 16.30 the receptionist in the afternoon the lady who checking in me very friendly and helpful. After check in the room was nice but in the hotel the provider only 1 bottle of water. I call to receptionist the man pick up my phone I was asking more bottle of water he said hotel set only 1 bottle if you need more you have to pay i was shocked with his answer because in pullman Köln the have complimentary 2 bottles of water but this hotel give only 1 and this hotel no slippers in the room also if compare with pullman Köln I prefer pullman Köln is better. I don't know why this hotel get top 10 in the application of trip.com and Ranked 4th of trip.com.

OOlaf HsiehThis hotel in Cologne had a great location! While not right in the city center, it was still within walking distance and felt a bit quieter and more peaceful than being right in the hustle and bustle. We stayed during a heatwave, so the free lemon-infused iced water in the lobby was an absolute godsend. Plus, the rooftop view was amazing, with clear sights of famous landmarks!

GGuest UserWhen I was checking in, I was a little worried the staff would be unable to speak English. However the two receptionists who helped me were perfectly fluent and answered any questions I had. I did unfortunately have to pay a city tax on top of my room, but it wasn’t expensive and this is a common thing in most hotels in Europe.
The room itself was pretty decent and had plenty of space for my suitcase and to walk around. The en-suite was great and had good towels and hot shower. The bed was comfy with a good mattress and duvet wise, but the pillows were a bit limp and didn’t have a lot in them. I spoke to another member of staff who spoke little English, who said he’d look and bring one to my room, but this never happened. Whatever the case, still had a good sleep, would have better with extra head comfort.
As for breakfast, there was a great variety of choice from fry-up food (bacon, sausages, eggs) to continental pastries and drinks. I would say the only downside was there was not enough for fruit, as there was only a few apples and plates of sliced oranges. Would have been better if there was more to choose fruit wise, but everything else was great and was a good fuel up for the day in Cologne.
When checking out, they also allowed me to place my luggage and bags in their storage room with zero charge which is great when you’re exploring for the day and have a later departure time.
Overall, if you’re in Cologne for a day (like me) or two, this place is a great option and I would stay here again!

JJane@WuxiThe advantages are its good location, close to Rudolfplatz metro station, with many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The hotel breakfast is quite plentiful, the service is acceptable, and the cleanliness is decent, with clean bedding. The disadvantages, focusing on the key points: First, the room is small, probably around 10 square meters. The bathroom is only about 4.5 square meters, and the shower is also small. Besides two disposable paper cups in the bathroom, no other water cups or bottled water are provided. The room is on the second floor, and the elevator seems to have been added later, requiring a half-floor walk down stairs to exit. The room is generally clean, but the carpet is a major disappointment, looking like it could harbor dirt and grime. On the day of check-in, I found two very tiny ants on the desk and promptly killed them; those afraid of insects should be cautious. Also, due to a trade fair in Cologne during my stay, the room price almost doubled; avoid booking during trade fairs if you're going to Cologne.

GGuest UserThis hotel is really good. Maybe it's because the hotels I stayed at in Paris were too small, but arriving in Germany, this hotel was spacious and very clean. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained. The breakfast was also decent, and the staff always gave me bottled mineral water. The owner seems to be Chinese and was very friendly. It was a really great experience, and I'd recommend it to my friends.

旅旅遊小白There are two ways to get back to the hotel. One way is to go from the train station, detour to the subway station, and then come up. This route is better as you avoid the sun and it's easier to push luggage. The other way is to exit the train station, walk past the Cologne Cathedral, cross the road, and reach the hotel. This takes about 7-8 minutes with luggage, so it's a bit further. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, but the staff were very friendly and helped me carry my luggage upstairs, which I really appreciated. They also offer free coffee and water.

Ccdtheunicornlovely lobby with charging amenities and places to rest and study, the staff was also very nice helped fix a coffee machine when it was broken and refunded my coffee. also very near to metro station (see pics) definitely recommended for solo travelers.
