Hotels near Kallio, Helsinki

"The room was spacious and had air conditioning. It's a bit of a walk to the bus stop, but the metro station is really close by. There's also a supermarket near the hotel. Breakfast is served at the cafe next door. If you have some free time, you can take a stroll around the lake in the nearby park, which is quite large and beautiful! BTW, it's definitely better than the Citybox in Tallinn!"

"The service was wonderful. The staff were genuinely friendly, not just smiling because they had to. I had an issue with my room, and it was resolved very quickly and with great kindness. The hotel is located close to a market with several restaurants and two supermarkets, one of which is open 24 hours a day. It is also very close to Sea Life and the roller coaster attractions, making it a great choice for families and anyone planning to visit those areas. If your main goal is to visit the city centre, there are several bus routes and a tram stop right in front of the hotel. You can also rent a bike or an e-scooter and enjoy the ride through the park, which is a lovely option in good weather. If the weather is bad, the location is less convenient for getting to the city centre. However, when it isn't raining or extremely cold, the location is excellent and offers a much quieter, greener environment. One feature I really liked was the hotel's fantastic guest kitchen. I didn't use it myself, but it looked ideal for families travelling with children or for anyone planning a longer stay. The hotel also has a gym, a lovely rooftop terrace, and complimentary laundry facilities where you can wash and dry your clothes free of charge. There is also a sauna and a steam room, which are a great bonus after a day of sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families with children or for travellers who don't need to be in the city centre all the time and would rather enjoy the surrounding parks and forests while still having easy access to the main attractions."

"The kitchen has a dishwasher, refrigerator, cooking utensils, and cutlery, but no seasonings. There were some seasonings in the common kitchen, so I guess it's okay to use those. However, when I checked at night, some party people had taken over the shared kitchen, which was disappointing. The sauna was nice, but instead of a cold plunge, it was lukewarm water. Also, the party people were chatting the whole time, so I couldn't really relax. Check-in and check-out are self-service, but there's always someone in the staff room, so it was good to be able to ask questions when I needed help. There were no towels in my room for some reason, but when I asked, they brought one right away, which was a lifesaver. I was happy that the room had a washing machine, detergent, and a drying rack. But it was a mystery that there was no hairdryer. You have to borrow one from a locker on a specific floor. I was lucky there was one left when I borrowed it, but it would be tough if there weren't any available. The shared lounge was great with various seating options. The hotel is right in front of the tram station, has a supermarket nearby, and it only takes about 20 minutes to get to Helsinki Central, which is very convenient."

"Extremely satisfied!! The breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was fantastic. The hotel's architecture is so stylish, and the location is great, very central, right next to an LV store. The hotel provides toiletries (except for toothbrushes and toothpaste). This is my favorite hotel of all the nights I've stayed in Finland; it's great value for money."

"With a very cheap price for a hotel very closed to the central station, I can’t say any bad word. I booked a cheapest room with breakfast. It is a not luxury, but a small room which has everything and everything works fine. Beds are so soft and comfy, I slept really well. Breakfast is really good. I can’t believe this is a breakfast from a cheap hotel, much much better than many of pricey hotels I’d stayed."

"The hotel is actually right next to the train station. The restaurant kitchen is adjacent to the platforms. If you take the airport line to Central Station, you can exit through the side door, turn into the hotel garden entrance, and you're right in the lobby – no need to use the main entrance and stairs. The hotel lobby, rooms, and room hallways are all very stylish. The Finnish sauna facilities are just okay. Right outside the hotel's main entrance, you'll find bus and tram stops, plus several 24-hour supermarkets, making it very convenient for shopping and getting around."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Stay at Scandic Paasi – Clean, Stylish, and Comfortable Our group of friends from Vietnam had a very pleasant stay at Scandic Paasi during our recent trip to Helsinki. Overall, the hotel was beautiful, clean, and offered very good quality for the price. The rooms were modern, well-designed, and spotless. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and everything felt neat and thoughtfully arranged. After long days exploring the city, it was a great place to rest and recharge. We also loved the hotel’s unique design and cozy atmosphere—it felt modern but still warm and welcoming. The common areas were spacious and nicely decorated, perfect for relaxing or chatting together as a group. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and key attractions in Helsinki. Breakfast was another highlight: good variety, fresh ingredients, and a nice Scandinavian touch that our group really enjoyed. Overall, Scandic Paasi delivered exactly what we were looking for: a clean, comfortable, and high-quality hotel experience. We would definitely recommend it to friends and would happily stay here again on our next visit to Helsinki."

"It was the best hotel I’ve booked, tha breakfast was amazing. The hotel is quite close to the train station if you are getting by train from the airport, the customer service is 10/10 , all the staff is willing to help and they did. The amenities are also close, if you want to walk it is 10 minutes by foot to the cathedral, old market, etc. The room is quite and all was very clean."

"The staff were friendly and courteous, the room was spacious and clean. The amenities were great from what we used, additionally the location is about 15-20 mins from city centre but not an issue in the slightest, also the airport is about 40 mins by public transport. All in all great experience and would recommend."

"The view from the room was great. The location was also perfect, being close to the station with a market nearby."
