The hotel is in a good location near the centre with good transpprt links to Piccadilly, the reception and breakfast areas are nice and spacious and therr's room to chill as well, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The room is comfy and clean, the shower is spacious and the bed is soft and there's a nice tv as well. Internet is very fast. The breakfsst is also tasty and plentiful and it's only £ 8. It was a pleasant stay for a budget hotel, I would recommend it.

The location is excellent and the staff are polite and all respectful . The only thing that made my stay unconfortable is the next door guest who keep bouncing on the wall like playing a ball. Also the toilet tissues are empty on the second day and the coffee and sugar were empty and didnt change my cups as well. Aside from that, its great!

So no issues with the staff down at the reception area at all, doing a smashing job representing the hotel, telling us about the app too upon arrival... check in the hotel earlier with app very cool, very nice, also the reception area is where the big bosses of this hotel choose to spend most of their budget as when you get to the rooms it does show. Cleaning staff - now what are they doing? Because they certainly aren't cleaning the rooms, the room was the dirtiest room I've ever stayed in, windows, bed, bathroom, carpets, i know its a budget hotel but basic levels of hygiene and cleaniness should be a must in a hotel, ive stayed in cheaper hotels and they were cleaner! Needs a refurb in the rooms and big recruitment drive for cleaning staff. Me and my partner had to make the bed before sleeping because we couldn't stomach sleeping on it because of how it was. Area is very loud, traffic, horns beeping, people shouting. On a positive note I did like the shower in the bathroom, the water pressure was excellent and it is in a brilliant location attending gigs and festivals in the area.

Plus: under 10 minute walk to Manchester Piccadilly train station. Convenient location with bus stops right outside the hotel. Check in was really easy. Outside of hotel looks right out of an old movie, really pretty — plus the corridor on entry. See attached photos. Cons: the room is dated, expected for an old hotel. You get what you pay for I guess. The most terrible thing was the extra blanket they provided smelled really bad - like a wet carpet or dog that has dried up on its own and retained that most terrible smell. I slept without the blanket and chose to get cold rather because of that smell.

This hotel was a positive surprise to me. I did not expect more than a bed to sleep close to the center of Manchester for the price I paid for the stay and they offered so much more with the friendliness and professionalism  of the frontdesk service staff, the varied breakfast and comfortable bed. The hotel is however a bit outdated and I missed a usb plug in the room for charging mobile as I am a European traveller and the plug is different. Luckily front desk helped me with an adapter for the night. I also had a small lunch at the Garden restaurant and whether you go there for a drink or food you will find nice staff and you can taste the freshness of the products used. All in all, great value for money.

During my recent stay, I was extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from the hotel's front desk. Firstly, upon check-in, despite a long queue of guests, only one counter was open. Although another counter eventually opened, when I was first in line, a staff member who appeared to be of Chinese descent refused to assist me and told me to rejoin the queue at the new counter. Instead, she prioritized a Caucasian guest who had just arrived. This discriminatory treatment made me feel very uncomfortable and disrespected. Secondly, later that evening, when I returned to the hotel to inquire about WiFi connectivity, I was assisted by another male staff member, also of Chinese descent. Throughout our conversation, he was noticeably impatient, spoke in a cold tone, and his voice was so low that it was difficult to hear him, forcing us to repeatedly ask him to repeat himself. My friend and I were speaking in Chinese during this time, and he clearly understood us, yet he offered no assistance. Instead, he repeatedly and impatiently asked us in English, 'Do you speak English?' This attitude was extremely disappointing and severely impacted my overall experience.

My mom and I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The location is perfect, which is actually in the city center. It is close to Victoria train station, Piccadilly station, tram and Piccadilly garden bus station. So you can go everywhere in an easy way. Nice place to stay with the reasonable price. The room quite old because of the rug but the furnitures seem fine. The shower in my room has a little bit leaking. My most favorite thing is the breakfast. The waiters are nice. There is just a female manager (the one with glasses) who operate the breakfast room was rude on our first day. She keep asking us Are her colleague invite us in the room before she know our room number? In that case we have waiting in the middle of no where for 5 minutes. But everything except that is still good. The location is totally good if you want to sightseeing the city both by walking around and go on tram to see a football matches.

Amazing
PPcomI had a very satisfying stay! I was in Manchester for an international academic conference. The conference organizers arranged a Leonardo Hotel, and the price was similar to the Wilde Aparthotels I booked myself, but I think Wilde definitely wins out. I booked a suite, which is quite large by UK standards. It was on the 20th floor, the highest in the hotel, with excellent views of Manchester's CBD buildings – really nice! It rained all week, so I mostly stayed nearby, but the hotel's location is super convenient, with many restaurants downstairs like Pret a Manger and a good Korean restaurant. It's also very close to the University of Manchester, where I tried the famous British fish and chips. This experience was so good that I even chose the Wilde Aparthotels brand for my trip to Cambridge next week.

GGuest UserStaycity is great, although they duplicate charged me which I have already paid thought agent earlier. Agent helped me to contact Staycity and they corrected it immediately. When I arrived Staycity, they knew and told me the money would be refunded to my credit card shortly. Staycity is my second time to stay, it is convenient, clean, kitchen, bathroom, bedding….. room size, everything is great. I absolutely will recommend my friends to stay here when they visit Manchester.

AAnonymous UserGood place to stay for easy access to airport and travel links lukebtrain, trams and bus. Good food, especially breakfast. They have breakfast foods available for those who are leaving to catch early flights as well. The place can be somewhat dusty and not good for those with dust allergies or asthma. Had booked the accessible room which is nice and big. The only issue is that its far away from the main lifts and the carpet is a pain to drag wheels on.

GGuest UserStaff were really helpful, and the reception, bar area looks so pretty with the lights everywhere. The bedroom doors were very tired looking and didn't live up to the rest of the hotel. Our AC didn't work, and you couldn't open the window, we did call down to reception and the lady said she could control it but it didn't change and was very hot.

AAnonymous UserDuring my recent stay at this hotel, I found the overall experience to be enjoyable with top-quality fittings and furnishings. However, there were areas that required improvement. The hotel itself is pleasant, but enhancing the service and room cleaning would significantly improve the guest experience. A standard room was paid for but a disability-accessible room was provided. We requested to change it to a standard which was done immediately without any questions. No water bottles were provided in the room initially; they were only given on request and only two small bottles were provided. Additionally, the room cleaning service was unsatisfactory. Despite requesting it twice over 4 nights, the cleaner only changed the sheets once and neglected to take out the bins vacuum, replace towels or clean the bathroom. This was particularly disappointing given the length of my nearly week-long stay. The breakfast was beautifully presented with various options but unfortunately remained the same every day lacking any variation. Some areas were particularly poor. For instance, the scrambled eggs had a distinct smell and were overly watery. Adding tomatoes or simply varying the options every few days would have improved the experience. One concern we had was the cleaning team. Twice the cleaner used his universal card to enter our room without ensuring no one was present. My partner was in the shower and our young baby was asleep. We heard a knock but were unable to reach the door in time. Upon reaching it we realised he was already entering. This occurred twice and on the following day we decided to chain the door for privacy reasons. In other hotels we have stayed in, privacy is of the utmost concern for staff and they would never even risk opening someone’s locked door without making sure. A better system needs to be in place here.

RRawstronThe hotel was amazing! The service was fab, all the staff were so lovely and really helpful. The room was great and had everything you could need, and I loved the fact that all the toiletries are plant based! The location was also amazing, just round the corner from the nightlife if you wanted it (but completely silent from inside your room). It's very central so really easy access to anything you could want really. Would definitely stay there again and already recommended it to some friends.
