"Check in was very awkward and slow, instead of just info to the person at the desk you have to scan a qt code and put in an extensive list of your information (which isnt always clear what its asking you for) and once you've done this it gives you a code. You then give this code to the desk person, where they proceed to confirm all the details you just submitted anyway so this seemed like a pointless step and judging by the queue at reception it creates quite a hold up and is generally not very welcoming. I also recieved no info about breakfast options either. After all this, the room was basic but clean so not much to complain about. Location is very handy so for the price not bad but check in needs to be wither made fully self check in or just be normal like everywhere else."

"Outstanding hospitality and superb facilities As someone who travels frequently for business, I am used to standard hotel procedures, but the team at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel completely blew me away for this leisure stay.They responded brilliantly to our pre-arrival requests, upgrading us to a beautiful King Skyline room and adding thoughtful touches like a welcome note from the manager and complimentary drinks. The hotel’s physical assets are in top shape, the 2nd-floor pool and sauna are peaceful and high-quality, and the breakfast service was seamless despite a busy weekend. Exceptional execution by the management and front-desk team."

"The location is convenient, within walking distance to the city center and Manchester University. Although the room is small, it's fully equipped with a hairdryer and kettle, and there's complimentary coffee and tea. The hotel doesn't have a car park, but the staff were very friendly and explained that there's paid parking next to the hotel. You only need to pay until 8 PM, and then it's free until 8 AM the next morning. Thanks to the hotel staff for their help."

"Considering the price, which was a few hundred, and the room size, it wasn't bad. However, the standalone chair was quite dirty. Since I didn't have breakfast or use any other hotel services, to be fair, I gave four stars for everything else. Aside from the dirty chair, everything else was okay. The location is truly excellent. It's right by Oxford train station and Oxford Road, with plenty of supermarkets, Chinese supermarkets, Yang Guo Fu Malatang, Sichuan restaurants, hot pot places, and even Jiangzhehu-style noodle shops nearby. There's also a bus stop right outside the door."

"Great stay at Holiday Inn Manchester! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good too. As it was my first time visiting the UK, I didn’t realize that check-out time was 11:00 am. The staff kindly called to remind me, and even allowed me to check out at 12:00 pm without any issues. I really appreciated their understanding and excellent hospitality. Thank you!"

"Very close to the train station and the Science and Industry Museum, suitable for families with children. Within a twenty-minute walk, there are shopping streets, restaurants, and more. The staff responded quite quickly and offered to switch rooms, though the outcome wasn't entirely satisfactory. The view was average, and the renovation quality was also mediocre; the shower wall was peeling. Breakfast quality was also just okay; the coffee machine was out of order, so a staff member individually brewed a cup. The price is similar to other hotels of the same brand in different locations, but the quality isn't consistent. Because everything was just 'average,' the overall experience was genuinely poor compared to other hotels of the same brand. Maybe they're going for a different vibe. Overall, dealing with various issues took up a lot of extra time... However, there's a small interactive kids' area on the first floor, suitable for active children. If you come here, it's best not to have high expectations."

"Service - nice, the staff members are very friendly and kind. I will give 4 of 5. Breakfast - they don’t have lot of variety of breakfast. But what they have is alright and taste okay. I will give 4 of 5. Location - good and bad. The good part is it is close to a lot of places. For example, art gallery, the library. So it is really good for people want a convenient travel. However, the location is very very noisy at night, and some how, our room is not sound proof enough, at Friday night, a bunch of people singing on the street with microphones at 11:30pm, and we can hear all of them (we are in fifth floor, don’t know how people in the first floor would feel about it..). Room facility - bad. It is not a 4 star hotel level. They do not provide fridge or room bar. The Tv is very old and the carpet of the hotel is very old and a bit dirty. The table and chair on the room is squeeze, and not stable. The whole room is just very old. Room clean service - good, they do the service good and in time. In general, I don’t think this should be a four star hotel - at least based on our experience. It could be a alright three star hotel and a normal two star hotel. "This is a very good chain hotel. We had a two-room suite, which was very spacious, clean, and quite modern. Unfortunately, our check-in was delayed by an hour, but they offered us complimentary cookies. The room had an unlimited mini-bar, which was a nice bonus. There was both a shower and a bathtub, but specifically, the bathtub had no hot water. The front desk responded very quickly, called a plumber, and everything was fixed within half an hour. The location near the train station was perfect for our needs, and we had a good view of the city from our high-floor room. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, as it was quite sparse (lacking fish, waffles/pancakes, and more variety of vegetables and cold cuts). Otherwise, we liked everything; the front desk staff were friendly, but the restaurant staff at breakfast seemed tired. We also had dinner at the restaurant one evening and highly recommend the steaks; the dishes were amazing!"

"The room was spacious with a huge king-size bed. We had complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar which was a nice touch. Breakfast was nice, there were hot and continental options from a buffet. I used the sauna and gym during our stay around 8a.m, I was the only person in there so very pleasant. Overall, I would recommend this hotel."

"The room was a bit outdated and the carpet was really dirty. The bathroom needs to be redecorated. It was a bit cold in the room and it was smelly, no heating. The breakfast was nice, buffet set with the traditional English breakfast, the food was quite tasty."
