Hotels near City Centre, Desenzano del Garda

About 15mins downhill walk from desenzano station which was manageable but definitely not to do it when going back which you need to walk uphill this time round. taxi cost around 10euros, not too expensive for a 5mins ride I guess? it is also near the ferry port to other parts of lake grada which is the sold point for us. 

Fabulous location, just off the main square and the bars/restaurants. Boats/ferry virtually on the doorstop, so never had to go too far if we didn't want to. Train station about 15 mins walk away, easier downhill, not so quick on the way up with bags! For some reason I was expecting a smaller family run hotel. It seemed to be much bigger than I expected and that 'family feel' was lacking unfortunately. Majority of the time there was no one at reception and other than one staff member (or family) the rest seemed pretty uninterested. The hotel room was brown and although had 2 windows, looked onto the back of the building making the room felt quite dark. It was quiet though as long as the windows were closed and the room was clean. A continental breakfast was included. We were there for a week and unfortunately after the first couple of days there was no fruit available and from day 3/4 most of the breakfast offerings were mostly gone at least half hour before breakfast ended, which led to a few disgruntled guests and a few leaving still hungry. Other than breakfast, we did eat at the hotel a couple of times. The food was nice, though I felt a bit overpriced. Service was good on the first occasion but pretty indifferent on the second occasion. It felt like the owners' priority was on running the restaurants, which were busy, both at lunchtime and evening. The hotel was very convenient but overpriced for what it offered...but then I guess we went peak time...! I don't think I would rebook the hotel if I was to go back to Desanzano.

The hotel is right next to the lake. The biggest selling point is that there is a large terrace. The lake view of the external network is very awkward. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. It is a 10-minute walk from the pier and the city center. It is convenient to travel, the staff is courteous, and the breakfast is very rich. If you come from other cities by train, the traffic is not so convenient, because the hotel is estimated to walk more than 10 minutes from the station, and taxis outside the station are scarce. Our experience is that after waiting for more than 10 minutes, we finally have to call Uber.

The best night of the trip to Italy, the old hotel is a guaranteed service, not an old house or an old hotel, it is a hotel that must have hotel management experience. This location is excellent, the service is excellent, there is history, the scenery is unique, and the breakfast is a five-star standard. I will definitely stay here next time. I must live in a room with a large balcony. This is the most cost-effective hotel in Italy. There is no other to compare with it.

A good hotel, Excellent breakfasts, from the upper floor of the hotel is perfectly viewed. To the railway station 15-20 on foot. The center of the town and the harbor nearby. If your number goes out on the road, it will be noisy.

perfect location, just 40 to 50 meter to the place for buying tickets and boarding to Sirmione; lovely services, gentle and kind; breakfast with many many choices, and the foods themselves tastes really good; the shortages was that the bathroom is too small, and the door does not have a locking clasp when staying within the room. excellent location on the river of the large lake and very clean room spacious and very comfortable rooms managed by a professional and very friendly staff

The service is very good, especially the girl at the front desk, very polite and friendly; impeccable service; the hotel room is not very new, overall it is OK, the service is most recommended

Despite the distance from the Terma, the location is excellent - 50 pleasant walk on the central street or the embankment. Pacific area. Very delicious breakfast from fresh food. There is a parking lot. A nice shower gel does not dry the skin. For such price it is better not to find. Excellent feedback administrators

Great location around 10 minutes walk from the centre but only about 5 minutes from the beach. Free parking for guests which is handy. Staff are super friendly and efficient in every part of the hotel. The room was immaculate and had everything you could think of. Pool area had plenty of beds and a great bar. Reasonably priced drinks also. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was well stocked.
