This boutique hotel is an absolute delight. With only five rooms in total, it offers an intimate, ryokan‑style experience where every guest receives thoughtful, attentive service. The staff embody the spirit of Japanese omotenashi—quiet, sincere, and always one step ahead of your needs.
Because the property hosts so few guests, the atmosphere is calm and unhurried. You never feel like just another booking; instead, it feels as though the entire team is dedicated to making your stay exceptional.
The dinner course is a highlight you simply cannot miss. It’s beautifully crafted, seasonal, and clearly prepared with great care. Just be sure to reserve at least two days in advance, as the kitchen prepares ingredients specifically for each guest.
To my surprise, the overall experience here surpasses even some well‑known Japanese luxury brands like Hoshinoya. It’s more personal, more serene, and ultimately more memorable.
A perfect stay for anyone seeking genuine hospitality and a peaceful retreat.

AirgeekedOne of the nearest accommodation to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort and shuttle via a mini bus is available. Shuttle bus goes to Echigo Yuzawa station too. It is walking distance from Gala Yuzawa. Approach any staff at the Ski Resort with the telephone number of the hotel to request for it. Stayed there for a few night for snowboarding. Breakfast selection was fabulous with two local Japanese sake available! The room is big, clean and well furnished. It even come with a great view! Onsen street which is the street lined with restaurant is 10-15mins walk away. I recommend making reservation for dinner if you do not intend to go out for dinner. Great service is one of the key reason why I would return to stay!

The service was excellent. The shuttle bus picked us up and dropped us off at Yuzawa Station East Exit, and it only took 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The outdoor onsen (hot spring) was amazing, with continuous snow-capped mountains right outside. The hotel also offers a partnership with a ski rental shop and provides transportation to various ski resorts. Dinner was served in our room and cost 7,700 JPY per person.

無憂無慮的過日子、明天的事、明天解決
Although this place isn't right on the ski slopes, they offer a shuttle service. The rooms are spacious enough, and the staff are friendly and can speak both Chinese and Japanese. They can also help you rent ski equipment, and the rental fees are much cheaper than at the ski center. The bathhouse has a nostalgic vibe. If you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you need to book with the owner in advance. The meals are affordable and come in generous portions. This is the best accommodation choice if you're planning a ski trip without a tour group.

The room was spacious, which was great for staying with kids. There's a small ski resort right behind the hotel, perfect for beginners. If you're heading to Yuzawa Nakazato Ski Resort, it's a bit of a walk. The shuttle bus is quite convenient, running between Yuzawa Station and the hotel, taking about 15 minutes, with a stop at Iwahara Ski Resort. Dining options are limited; the buffet was just okay, but the à la carte options were decent, though reservations are required for both. Lunch options were very sparse. A downside is that there's no free luggage storage. So, if you arrive early or leave late, you'll need to figure out what to do with your bags.

The ski-in/ski-out access to the hotel was incredibly convenient, making it a one-stop shop for dining, entertainment, and relaxation. Although the room was small, it was well-equipped, and the view from the window was quite lovely. My only issue was the incredibly loud noise from some equipment that started around 6 AM each morning, waking me up three days in a row. Additionally, the hotel's dining options were all pretty mediocre and not great value for money.

The guesthouse's location is incredibly convenient. In the mornings, you can enjoy a stroll in the nearby Takizawa Park and see the dam and waterfall. The guesthouse staff are very friendly, and the Japanese breakfast is fresh and delicious, offering slight variations each day, which truly shows their dedication to providing a great experience. Guests can also access the hot springs 24/7 for their convenience.

The place is comfy. Heater is used everywhere
The driver of the taxi didn’t see Yuzawa Yukinado in the Google Map, instead he saw Hotel Justice which is the same . That building is where you check in and have breakfast. The building next door is where the rooms are.
The staff are very helpful. They accommodated us even we arrived late. You just have to message or call them beforehand.

JCjiexiJCWe booked this hotel with the whole family to meet up with friends for a ski trip. It's an older hotel that recently reopened, and the facilities are decently maintained. If you're looking for a super luxurious experience, this might not be the place for you. However, the number of rooms and the space are quite generous for Japan, and all basic facility needs are met. Plus, there's an onsen and open-air bath on the top floor, which was incredibly therapeutic after a day of skiing. The front desk staff were all sweet, kind young women who spoke Chinese and provided thoughtful and attentive service throughout our stay. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Orange/Blue line, making it easy to get to the ski resort and the train station. The family room offered excellent value for money and comes highly recommended.

The room is spacious but ordinary. The room heater is old and traditional that made the room very dry and uneven temperature in different parts of the room. The water heater is not stable and sometimes it will shut down. The bed and pillow is uncomfortable. The hotel just beside the main road of village and our room windows are facing to the road, thus it is quite noise in the morning especially when it is raining or snowing. To be concluded, the room made us uncomfortable. Not recommended.
