This small and beautiful hotel is opened by an old couple. It is very close to the white wall traditional hot spring villa where we first lived. The day we arrived at our check-in was already around 6:20 in the evening. After checking in, Grandma asked us what time to prepare dinner, because I booked one berth and two meals. The dinner part is still a bit looking forward to opening a blind box, there are grilled fish burned on the stove, various local side dishes, sashimi, miscellaneous grains, rice, and tempura. When we thought it was about to end, there were buckwheat noodles and fruits. It was really round after round. The room was very simple. After eating a good meal, Grandma has helped to lay the bed. When I went back to the room to change clothes, I went to the soup. The one who stayed on the same day should have a room for us. I enjoyed the hot spring pool. The next morning, I had a table for traditional breakfast. After eating a good meal, Grandma drove us to the nearby bus stop Tangdao Station. The overall stay is still very cost-effective, recommended

This is an established onsen hotel in Shuzenji, mostly frequented by Japanese locals for their getaways. I booked a Japanese-style room that included breakfast and dinner. Throughout the entire hotel, shoes are not permitted; they are stored in shoe lockers behind the front desk. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet-style, offering a good selection of both Japanese and Western dishes. The hotel also boasts seven complimentary private hot springs, which are fantastic, although you might have to queue during peak hours (each session is 30 minutes). What's more, they offer free ramen in the evenings, which is a wonderful touch. A special shout-out also goes to the free mahjong tables – a huge draw for Chinese guests! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the hot spring street, and it's only about a 5-minute walk to Shuzenji Temple. The only minor downside is the lack of a free shuttle service to Shuzenji Station. However, the front desk can help you arrange a taxi, which costs around 1500 JPY.

This was truly a fantastic experience.  Everything was better than I'd imagined. I rarely think ”I should come back here”, but for this place, I'd make a special trip just to come stay again, even if for only one more night.

We stayed here to celebrate my mother's 88th birthday. When we arrived, two women were waiting for us and quickly carried our luggage. The view of the Japanese garden from our room was wonderful, and the vivid fresh greenery was soothing to the soul. The dinner we had in our private room was a seasonal kaiseki meal, served one dish at a time in perfect timing and in beautiful utensils, all of which was delicious. We enjoyed a delicious coffee after the meal in the free cafe. The baths are switched between men's and women's, so we were able to enjoy both large baths. The flowers and furnishings throughout the building were also wonderful, and we took our time looking at them. The young man in charge was friendly and explained things carefully, so we had a pleasant stay. This is an inn that I would definitely like to visit again in a different season.

The staff was very professional and kind. We reserved the private onsen for an additional cost. We booked the biggest onsen. The washing area and the changing room was impeccably clean. The end of the tub however was a bit scary. The walls and ceiling was covered in spider webs and there were giant spiders hanging on there which was a bit unnerving. Otherwise the public washing areas and the room were very clean. The ryokan however is a bit outdated. There are some markings on the wall and curtains.

The hotel can see the sea from afar, there are two indoor and outdoor hot springs, the service is responsible for a special person, breakfast and dinner are included, Japanese dining is provided, and overall it feels average.

The hotel is nice and spacious, and the breakfast is fantastic! 👍 For a Japanese-style breakfast, it's incredibly diverse, offering chicken, fish, eggs, fruits, and pastries, all at a good price. The only downside is that as a tourist destination, there isn't much to see, mainly the unique streetscapes of the onsen town… otherwise, it feels a bit like a large rural area. 😀 The hot springs are amazing! My skin felt smooth and refreshed after soaking, it was very relaxing.

The environment is nice, clean, and hygienic. There's no turndown service. It's right by the sea, so you can go for a walk in the evening. There are quite a few people fishing on the pier. There were a few insects near the hot spring in the room, probably because there's a mountain behind the hotel, but I managed to catch a few bigger ones! 💪 The sunset was beautiful, and lying in bed at night, I could even see the moon from my childhood! The photos are straight from the camera, unedited. The parking lot isn't at the hotel, which is inconvenient, and there's a lot of traffic when crossing the road. 😂

This hotel is located in uphill. It is difficult to walk up to the hotel, better to plan your itinerary with free shuttle schedule. The free shuttle bus schedule stored in the hotel website but the file I couldn’t able to download. You can call the hotel for details. The hotel facilitates are good but every single spot are not walking distance. It is suggested to buy some snacks/food before going up to the hotel. If you play golf, they have a view of Mt Fuji. The staff here are polite and willing to answer your questions.

While I had no complaints about the hotel, those arriving by car should be aware of the parking. The reservation website also mentions paid parking, but I didn't receive the details until the day of check-in. I received the following email just before check-in: If I had known in advance that a parking fee of up to 2,400 yen would be charged, I would have considered other hotels with free parking. Since a parking fee of up to 2,400 yen seems quite high compared to the room rate, I wish they would make it more reasonable by opening a partner parking lot. ■Parking ・Matsubara Park Parking Lot (public) ・1 day (starting at midnight) 1,200 yen ・Free entry and exit for up to 2 hours → 1,200 yen the next day for parking after 22:01 → 2,400 yen (2 days) for parking until 21:59
