Guest UserThe food was delicious, and the large public bath was simply fantastic. Despite being the priciest hotel I've ever stayed at, I definitely felt it was worth every penny.

This isn't my first time staying at a Dormy Inn; I stayed at one in Kumamoto previously and absolutely loved it. The Otaru location is right in front of the station, which is super convenient. So, I didn't hesitate to choose Dormy Inn again. They offer complimentary Yakult and ice cream, which my child adored. The free ramen served as a late-night snack was a light soy sauce broth, easy on the stomach. Breakfast quality is outstanding, featuring seafood donburi, soup curry, tempura, grilled seafood, Hokkaido milk, and local specialties. Many hotels serve frozen fruit, but Dormy Inn offers fresh fruit!

Chubby Girl On Tour
I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and included two bottles of water, coffee, and tea. While the view overlooked a blank space behind the building, the quality of the bed and pillows was excellent. I found the bathroom to be slightly larger than expected.
The reception area was spacious, and the staff were friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. There were two breakfast options available: Western and Japanese. I personally chose the Japanese breakfast, priced at 3,000 Yen. The quality and portion were good.
The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Otaru JR Station, as well as Sakaimachi Hondori Street and Otaru Canal. Additionally, there is a convenience store directly across the street, along with several night restaurants. I did find the price a bit high, possibly due to the Otaru Snow Light Path Festival taking place during my stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its comfort and location.

GlobetrotterlawyerWe had such a great time here even though we only
spent one night here. The rooms were clean, and the service was really good. It's a bit of a walk from Otaru Station, but I would still consider the location as convenient because it's just right across Otaru Canal and walkable to many other sights and restaurants. The rooms were quite spacious by Japanese standards. Overall, we had a really great stay in this hotel and would definitely stay here again when we visit Otaru again in the future.

Anonymous UserIt was a cute boutique hotel with nice bonus facilities! Room is nicely designed and functional, with warm colors feel homey and comfy. Too bad we didn’t get the bath tub room as they were fully booked. Views from the window is mountaneous area, very nice! Bed and pillows are comfortable. Surface area for stuff are generous and practical, even enough space for sofa. Too bad they don’t give free coffee or at least instant coffee, only tea. No onsen. Music box night was awesome! Feels like a romantic dinner setting, but the smell of lamp oil was too much, gave me headache so I couldn’t stay for long, even though I would love to support the hotels and all of the polite and friendly staff by dining there. Staff are wonderful, smiles and polite and professional! During this trip we felt like Japanese staff in general are becoming a bit cold toward tourists but this hotel’s staff are not like that! We appreciate you guys. Thank you!

The room was quiet and comfortable, and the location was super convenient, right by the canal downstairs. The on-site hot springs were also a fantastic experience! Definitely a perfect score! The cafe downstairs had a wonderful atmosphere, great for reading, working, or journaling. And the breakfast buffet was high quality too! The ingredients were incredibly fresh and plentiful; you could even make your own seafood donburi.

ScudLimCozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!

Guest UserThe B&B's location is pretty good and convenient, with a convenience store right outside. The interior is beautiful and thoughtfully detailed. The front desk service was just okay, nothing special. The room itself was clean and tidy, but when we turned on the heater, there was a strong, persistent kerosene smell that was really unpleasant.

Guest UserIf you are not driving, this place is a best place to stay with as overall house amenities are comfortable, modern and feeling good.
But for anyone driving there, do consider again as the journey towards to the carpark are slippery, more than 10degree slope, it is dangerous and scarry to me eventhough equipped with snow tyre even though for myself that have been driving in many countries in Europe, Asia and Australia.

The place is great. Just that the cashier is very stern/inflexible. No washing machine.
