The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but well-maintained. The white sand beach right outside is absolutely beautiful, and I heard the sand was actually imported from Australia! The half-board (dinner and breakfast) was decent, nothing spectacular but no complaints either.

Wonderful hotel. The rooms are small, but with a beautiful view of the ocean. There is everything you need in the room: a stove, a refrigerator, a grill, a steamer. There are all the necessary utensils. The only thing is that we couldn't adjust the shower for a long time - the temperature is cool. There are many shops nearby. The ocean is a 10-minute walk away. Very friendly guys at the reception.

I've been wanting to visit Shirahama for almost 10 years, so I picked this onsen resort, rumored to be among Asia's top 11. For Japanese onsen hotels, all-inclusive is a must! However, my overall experience was just so-so, probably because I've stayed at so many Japanese onsen hotels before. It definitely boasts an unbeatable sea view; I booked a garden view room, and when I tried to upgrade to a sea view at check-in, the front desk attendant said none were available. Yet, when I entered my room, I could still see the ocean! The sea view here isn't as breathtaking as in Izu. From Shirahama Station, there's no shuttle, so we had to take a taxi, which was about 2500 yen. The most impressive part of the hot springs here is the co-ed open-air ocean view bath – the scenery is truly incredible! The food was only decent, incomparable to what we experienced at Kusatsu Onsen, Yamato no Sato in Izu, Lake Kawaguchiko at Mount Fuji, or even Gero Onsen. The staff weren't particularly enthusiastic either. There were a lot of Chinese tourists, some from Hong Kong and Macau, but very few Japanese tourists, mostly elderly ones. This onsen hotel seems to be a popular spot hyped up by Chinese travelers! If you're only visiting Kansai, Shirahama is definitely worth a trip. But if you're going to other parts of Japan, it might not be worth making a special journey for.

The Marriott's location is superb. It's about a 2000 JPY taxi ride from Shirahama Station, which is very convenient. Shirarahama Beach is just a five-minute walk away. The view of the beach from the 11th floor is exactly like something out of Detective Conan! We enjoyed the hot springs in the evening and morning. The garden view room offers a perfect, front-row seat for watching the sunrise. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and provided excellent service. We had a perfect Goddess Festival, listening to the melody of the Pacific Ocean and savoring fresh tuna. I absolutely love Nanki Shirahama!

Great place, spacious apartments, everything you need, all the necessary utensils on the second floor. The downside of course is that there is no shower in the room, but there is an onsen on the 1st floor!!! So it was not a problem. Gorgeous view from the room. Great staff!!! Next time we will definitely stay in this place

I stayed in both the main building and the annex, and the annex offers significantly better value for money than the main building. All facilities are shared, and I highly recommend the hot spring.
I spent the first night in the main building and the second in the annex. Before arriving, I saw pictures with a Syrian-style aesthetic and mentally prepared myself for something run-down. However, I actually found the annex, with its Japanese-style design, to be superior to the main building and more suitable for younger guests.
The only drawback was the overly rigid front desk staff. After checking out of the main building, I seamlessly processed my check-in for the annex, but still had to wait until 3 PM to get the keys.
Also, on the night of my check-in, I could hear a group of Korean girls chattering loudly on the public balcony downstairs from my room on the second floor; they kept talking until past midnight.

A traditional Japanese onsen hotel with comfortable tatami mats. The front desk was very efficient and made an effort to speak English, which was a touching touch. The onsen has three pools, and they were almost always empty, with no other guests in the hallways. However, the dining area was quite crowded, with food being served in an orderly manner but quickly cleared. The beach is a one-minute walk away, and the water is crystal clear, with schools of fish visible near the shore. This is what a vacation should be like!

Accommodation was lovely and centrally located to shirarahama beach. It was a 3 minute walk from the bus stop.
It was well stocked with amenities and the room was large and clean.
The lady boss is Chinese so you can communicate by Chinese. They are incredibly kind and helped me get to the hospital when I injured my ankle. They are people that you can trust.
Breakfast was also delicious! Chinese food is yummy and a nice break from Japanese cuisine.

The Japanese-style house was dismantled into a guest house. It is only for girls. It is better. It is not a mixed bag. The owner Rinji is a man, but it seems that he can't live here, so our actions are OK. If you don’t bring your own towel in the bath, use the towel at the homestay for 100yan, and wash your clothes for 100yan.

Amazing
WWinnie WMI rented this hot spring hotel in Baibin this time. I personally feel that it is very worthwhile. The room is clean, there is a separate bathroom and a private style. When I checked in, the staff proposed to drink at the lounge. The small gift and the toiletries were the same. We immediately sighed and sighed. Two cups of draft beer, this arrangement is very intimate. Dinner can be arranged at 6 or 7 o'clock. The ingredients are very rich. The abalone is delicious, and the Kumano and the cattle are delicious. Every time the staff at the meal has an explanation, although the communication is difficult, but the squatting is very dedicated to using Google translate translation than mine. The service is really unbearable.
I originally bought the plum wine and planned to drink in the room. I was worried about how to ask them to drink ice cubes. I knew that as soon as I entered the room, there was a large edible ice bucket to place the cabinet. I immediately felt that the hotel was really intimate!
The second morning breakfast can be picked at 9 o'clock, because we plan to get up and soak in the hot spring again, breakfast is also rich, eat to take a belly room.
Overall, this experience is good, it is worth recommending!
GGuest UserThe room is very big, with great views and is very quiet. It is located close to Shirahama Station and the seafood market. The bus to the door is a 10-minute walk. The road is a bit dark at night. It is very convenient to take the bus to the beach and the Three Broken Walls, but the waiting time is too long. There are not many places to eat around. There is a pretty good ramen restaurant near the bus station. I suggest you either go back to the hotel after eating or book dinner at the hotel. The hotel actually has a shuttle bus that can take you to Shirahama Station. You just need to make an appointment with the front desk in advance, which is great. It's a bit inconvenient that you can't take a shower in the house, you can only go to the hot spring, but the hot spring is open from 6 to 9 in the morning. If you get up late, you may not be able to take a shower. We didn't dare to try it. A full meal for two people at the seafood market only costs 300 RMB. To go to Nachi Taisha Shrine and Kumano Kodo, you have to calculate the bus and Kuroshio Current time. It is still worthwhile to go there and back in one day. It is much more convenient than Kii-Katsuura. I stayed here for four days and three nights. I went to different places every day and came back to soak in hot springs to relieve fatigue. It is very cost-effective. By the way, Conan fans will feel very good.
MM22225****I had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shirahama for a relaxing getaway.
First off, the location is fantastic. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and after taking bus #12 from Shirahama JR Station, you get off directly at the hotel. The hotel staff are very welcoming and were at the entrance to help with luggage – super friendly! Across the street from the hotel is Shirarahama Beach, which is stunning whether it's cloudy or sunny. The white sand paired with the blue ocean is a real treat for the eyes. Shirahama is very quiet at night, and shops close early, but within a five-minute walk, there's a FamilyMart, Lawson, and a 24-hour supermarket. So, if you need snacks or drinks, these are great options. The hotel also has a microwave on the first floor for heating food. You can even buy fireworks at the supermarket to enjoy on the beach.
Room: The room was very spacious with plenty of space and directly faced the beach. During my two-day stay, I spent time just relaxing in the room, watching the sunset, observing people on the beach, or heading downstairs to cross the road and lie on the beach or play in the water. It was incredibly relaxing for both my mind and body. The room had both a bathtub and a shower. The bathtub was right next to the balcony, so you could soak while enjoying the view. The hotel also has indoor hot springs, but unfortunately, I couldn't use them.
Service: Most of the staff were middle-aged men and women, very kind and gentle. There was also a Chinese-speaking girl with a particularly soft voice who always greeted me with a smile. The service was excellent.
Although breakfast was the same every day, it tasted quite good.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would definitely choose Sanrakuso again if I come back to Shirahama.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to get to all the main attractions. The surrounding scenery of the hotel itself is also beautiful, and the facilities offer a great experience. While the dining options are quite varied, the Japanese cuisine isn't among the best, and the ingredient selection is just average. There are some seafood restaurants nearby that can offer a good alternative.
GGuest UserThe room was large and clean. This hotel is very new and well received. The bakery downstairs is also delicious, and I buy bread for breakfast in the morning. The place to soak on the first floor is also good, clean and comfortable. 🍠 The recommended SHIRAHAMA KEY NOODLE だきしめ ramen noodle shop is on the road out of the hotel, super close.
GGuest UserFacilities: The onsen is a traditional Japanese hot spring. While the outdoor bath doesn't offer scenic views, the water temperature was perfect. We stayed in a Japanese-style room this time. The occupancy was low, so it was peaceful and uncrowded.
Cleanliness: It was spotless and met all standards.
Environment: The location is fantastic! It's right next to Senjojiki and just a 3-5 minute walk from the only small restaurant in the vicinity.
GGuest UserReally loved it! The hot springs were so relaxing, and the breakfast spread was incredibly generous. The view from the window was lovely. On the second floor, there are lots of entertainment options, including massage chairs and a wide selection of manga to read. Just a heads-up: the hot spring pools switch between day and night, so make sure you don't go to the wrong one!
包包包BA very good experience. The house is very clean and can accommodate 6 people. But the house agent can explain clearly where to get the house key, but the email instructions are unclear. Otherwise very good.
GGeraldLim1Beautiful Ryokan! The room I stayed in had tatami floors and western beds. The doors slide instead of open outwards like they usually do. Toilets are relatively small, but the shower had great water pressure and temperature! However we did not shower much because.. We showered at the Onsen instead since we were there to spend time! The Onsen is tattoo-friendly as confirmed by the check in staff, and the water really had skin smoothing effects. Yukatas are available at lobby area for all guests, and level two has a restaurant with microwave and ice machine outside for your konbini meals. No view from the room, but that's fine cos the Onsen itself was worth a visit. Steep short hill up to the lobby, but if you drive then that's fine. Free to use outdoor BBQ area, but didn't have the chance to. Rooms were comfy, sleep was good with minimal disturbance. Side note: my underwear got stolen at the onsen and I never managed to find it back again but that's fine cos it was worth the Onsen experience. Stayed two nights here, no regrets, would totally do it again! Oh and Onsen area has got numbered lockers to store your belongings but not your undies!
GGuest UserOverall was a good experience and nice environment, food was good.
Improvement:-
It will be good to have buggy service for customers regardless of time as some of us may have big and many luggages to carry by hand to the room.
It will be better to have more different variety and choice of dinner food the next day, as we were dining two days with almost same food.
