"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family had a wonderful stay at UNWIND Hotel Sapporo. The room was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family. We loved the cozy atmosphere and the friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was delicious and a great way to start each day. We also enjoyed the free wine service in the evening, which was a lovely touch and made our stay feel even more special. Parking was convenient and reasonably priced at JPY 1,500 per night, making it easy for us to explore Hokkaido by car. Overall, our family loved this hotel and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for families and travelers with a rental car!"

"Fantastic hotel, I lost my wallet and front desk staff requested housing keeping staff to search my room again after checked out. The housekeeping staff manage to find my wallet and return it to me. I am so glad that this is a trust worth it hotel, I will go back next year again."

"This hotel in Otaru is fantastic for those traveling by car. Parking is super convenient and very affordable right next door. It’s also incredibly easy to walk out and explore the nearby shopping arcade. The rooms are spotless, tidy, and feel very new. The hotel staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. I honestly think I’ll be staying here again. After dropping off my bags, I could immediately head out to browse the Kitaichi Glass Museum, which has so many exquisite and beautiful glass products. Then it was a quick trip to Kitakaro and Rokkatei to grab lots of souvenirs. It was all so convenient and close by! In the afternoon, I even had time to relax with coffee and afternoon tea. I'm really looking forward to my next stay here!"

"This is a comfortable boutique hotel in Otaru. The room is cozy with the barrel the most interesting feature that doubles up as a table and a fridge. The buckwheat pillow is comfortable for a good night rest. What impressed me the most is the breakfast. There is a wide array of food including seafood and fresh milk. Onsen is comfortable too. Overall I will strongly recommend this hotel in Otaru as it’s still new and tip top service and amenities."

"This apartment offers a practical and comfortable stay, especially for those looking to explore Otaru on foot. We appreciated the basic utensils and cutlery provided, making it easy to prepare simple meals. The thoughtful inclusion of toothbrushes and toothpaste was a nice touch, and the microwave was handy for quick reheats. Comfort is well-addressed with one air-conditioner and a heater, ensuring a pleasant temperature regardless of the weather. The washing machine was a huge convenience, and we had options for drying clothes either on the hanger stand inside the room or on the balcony. The location is a major highlight, being within easy walking distance to both Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street. We also found it convenient to have a Lawson and various eateries nearby, though it's a good idea to check their opening hours as they can vary. Important Considerations for Your Stay While the location is excellent, it's important to note that the road leading to the building is steep. This could be particularly challenging if you're driving, and we would not advise driving during winter due to the road conditions. For those with a car, there are two parking areas available. The closer one has three slots, while a slightly further option offers approximately 12 slots. Keep this in mind, especially if you prioritize a closer parking spot."

"Honestly the only praise to give to this hotel is the staff attitude and the location which is near the canal. The staffs were-Helpful and dedicated .  I can accept the hotel is old and not so spacious. But one thing I really can’t take it is the level of the bathroom. I can’t understand why the level is so high. We need to step a big leap to climb in order to get into the bathroom. Also to get into the bathtub to stand to shower was dangerous too. It was unbelievable deep. I almost fell.  This hotel is really not suitable for elderly people. And need to pay extra careful attention when you climb to the bathroom and to the bathtub. Sometimes I do not understand why can’t just list out that you would need to collect onsen tax. If I know I need to pay for that I would not want to choose this hotel. Because I do not go for the onsen."

"This hotel is conveniently connected to Otaru Chikko Station and a large shopping mall, making it super easy for shopping and dining. The breakfast overlooking the ocean is lovely, offering a relaxed atmosphere and exquisite food. The only minor downside is that both the sink and shower still have old-fashioned twist faucets, which are a bit difficult to turn, especially when your hands are soapy."

"The location is fantastic, very convenient whether you're walking from the station or taking the bus. The hotel itself is quite upscale, and the service was incredibly warm and welcoming. We dropped off our luggage early, and when we returned, it was already in our room, which I thought was a really nice touch."

"It was a cute boutique hotel with nice bonus facilities! Room is nicely designed and functional, with warm colors feel homey and comfy. Too bad we didn’t get the bath tub room as they were fully booked. Views from the window is mountaneous area, very nice! Bed and pillows are comfortable. Surface area for stuff are generous and practical, even enough space for sofa. Too bad they don’t give free coffee or at least instant coffee, only tea. No onsen. Music box night was awesome! Feels like a romantic dinner setting, but the smell of lamp oil was too much, gave me headache so I couldn’t stay for long, even though I would love to support the hotels and all of the polite and friendly staff by dining there. Staff are wonderful, smiles and polite and professional! During this trip we felt like Japanese staff in general are becoming a bit cold toward tourists but this hotel’s staff are not like that! We appreciate you guys. Thank you!"
