As expected from a well-established hotel! The front desk service was incredibly welcoming. The hotel itself is grand and upscale, with spacious and bright rooms. It truly lives up to its reputation as the tallest building in Hokuriku, offering excellent views from the room. I didn't get to try breakfast, but the hotel boasts 7 restaurants and a sky bar, which says it all. Every service you could think of is available. It's also very close to Kanazawa Station; you can reach the station entirely via an underground passage, so no need to worry about rain or sun! The room amenities are all-inclusive. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kanazawa!

The room was spacious and conveniently located right after turning right from the JR station's south exit. The lobby offered complimentary drinks and beverages daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The ambiance was also excellent, perfect for a vacation. My only minor complaint is that they didn't provide face cream or facial cleanser, which I've become accustomed to at Japanese hotels. I almost ran out of the ones I brought myself.

Brilliant boutique hotel with truly kind and amazing staff.  Only 15 rooms but the staff truly outsize the hotel in terms of what would wow me.  They really make you feel very comfortable and safe.  Great location to visit Kenrokuen!

The hotel is clean, and the front desk staff are very helpful. There’s a laundry machine on every floor, which makes it very convenient for guests. The only downside is that no hot bath. The location is excellent — Omicho Market is just steps away. Higashi Chaya Geisha District is within waking distance also. Overall, this hotel is good staying at. But, I personally feel hotel rate is at higher price due missing hot bath amenities..

This was our first stop on our Ishikawa prefecture road trip. The hotel is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from the Shinkansen station, and the overnight parking fee of 1000 yen is very reasonable. There are also plenty of amenities nearby. The room itself was modern and spotless. They even had a capsule coffee machine, and the breakfast offered great value for money.

Great location, very close to the station and surprisingly quiet. However, there was a strong BBQ smell in the hotel hallway, likely from the yakiniku restaurant downstairs. It actually smelled quite good! We even ended up eating there. My clothes definitely smelled of grilled meat afterward. I didn't take any photos of the hotel itself, but it had a rather artistic vibe to it.

Very good location for being close to the train station, although it's about a 35-40 minute walk to places of interest. There's a 7-Eleven right next door, and a more complete supermarket and restaurants at the station. The rooms are huge for Japan, the beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom is standard for the country. The hotel has a well-equipped gym and a very nice reading room. They do not clean the rooms until after the fourth night. They are not flexible with check-in; for example, after our 4-night reservation, we rebooked another 4 nights, but they made us wait 4 hours between checking out of the first room and checking into the second room. I think they could have paid more attention to us, since we had booked with them again and on a regular basis, but they paid no attention at all.

I was a bit worried about the room facilities based on previous reviews, but after checking in, I found everything to be great. The breakfast, however, didn't quite live up to its price point, though it was certainly satisfying.

This hotel is clearly showing its age and may not meet expectations for those looking for a more modern or well-maintained stay. While it carries the IHG branding, the overall experience feels dated. One of the main challenges was communication. The front desk staff had very limited English proficiency, making it difficult to get clear directions—especially regarding parking. Guests are required to go to the front desk to ask about parking arrangements, which is not very convenient. The signage outside is also misleading, and it’s easy to mistakenly park at a nearby open-air lot that charges ¥100 per 15 minutes or ¥1000 for 12 hours. The hotel’s designated parking is actually located in a shopping mall, which is not immediately obvious. The rooms themselves are quite old, with worn facilities. The bathroom had a noticeable musty smell, suggesting poor ventilation or maintenance. Amenities were basic—Dove toiletries were provided instead of the more commonly seen Pola brand in Japanese hotels. The air conditioning was also ineffective, which made the stay less comfortable. That said, the hotel does have one strong advantage: location. It is directly opposite Ōmichō Market, making it very convenient for exploring the market and enjoying a great local breakfast. Overall, this hotel may be suitable for travelers who prioritize location over comfort, but those expecting a smoother and more modern stay might want to consider other options.

Stayed at Kanazawa Blue Time Youth Hostel for six consecutive nights. After arriving at Komatsu Airport, it costs 1300 yen to take the airport bus directly to Kanazawa Station. From the Gumen of the Kanazawa Station sign, walk about 150m to the building where the Youth Hostel is located. The Youth Hostel is located on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator here. It is not convenient to carry large boxes. The location of the Youth Hostel is very convenient. It is a 3-minute walk to Kanazawa Station. There are various dining and supermarkets in the station. You can walk to the sightseeing areas such as Jinjiang Market, Kenliuyuan, Kanazawa City, 21st Century Art Museum, Dongchawu Street and other sightseeing areas. You can also buy a 1-day bus ticket to visit Kanazawa in the Kanazawa Station sightseeing case. I stayed in a girls' bed room. The area needs to enter the password. The privacy is very good. There are seven girls' beds. There is a toilet and a shower room for girls. It is clean and comfortable. There is a facial cleanser shower gel conditioner hair dryer. The bed is very spacious, not the bunk bed but the single floor, the space is quite large, there is a locker with a password in the bed, there are slippers, a clean bath towel is provided every day during the stay, and the free network signal is stable. There is also a special tea room in the girls area with a water heater microwave oven. Note that toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided here. Shower room is small and can feel cramped and crowded for tall people. The only problem for me is that the mattress is too soft and I am not very comfortable with it myself. The public space of the Youth Hostel provides free coffee and tea, and the mixed dormitory area also has a shower room washing area washing machine dryer, which is more complete. This is a good affordable place to stay when traveling alone in Kanazawa, and I have a pleasant time here. Kanazawa is a clean, beautiful, quaint and charming city, and I hope to have the opportunity to visit again.
