Excellent hotel with great location, everything was perfect. Staff was nice. The room with balcony overlooking the town is beautiful and well-functioned. The rooftop onsen is comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful. We love our stay very much.

The room was spacious and clean. The furniture was stylish and made me feel relaxed. The presence of a sauna was a big plus. Having the toilet separate from the bathroom was also nice.
Location
I think it's in a good location for sightseeing in the city.
Also, since the hotel is on the 8th floor of a department store, it was convenient for eating and buying souvenirs.
Parking
I parked in the adjacent multi-story parking garage. There was a connecting walkway, so getting around was convenient.

Guest UserThis hotel is right next to the coffee shop on the left side when you exit Matsuyama-shi Station tram stop. If you're coming from Matsuyama Port, you can take the tram from Takahama Station directly to the hotel. The facilities are quite new as it just recently opened. Every afternoon, guests can enjoy complimentary welcome drinks, and there's free ice cream in the evenings, which is a great draw. The hotel's location is excellent for getting around; Matsuyama-shi Station, which has many buses to Shikoku, Tokyo, Osaka, and Okayama, is right downstairs.

The location is excellent, very close to Kyoto Station, with bus stops and convenience stores nearby. We didn't order breakfast, so I can't comment on it. The complimentary evening snack was ramen, which was shrimp-flavored. The onsen (hot spring bath) was as comfortable as always, and the open-air bath was particularly relaxing!
Cleanliness: Good
Service: Excellent, and there was a staff member who spoke Chinese, which was very convenient.

Guest UserSince it was my first time traveling to a small town, I didn't have high expectations for the accommodation. I had heard that business accommodations are often small, so I booked this place intending to use it only for sleeping and showering. The toilet and shower were separate, and the kitchen facilities included a microwave, kettle, refrigerator, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, etc. It felt just like renting a regular house. It got plenty of sunlight and was located in a quiet area, making it a pleasant place to stay the entire time. I had such a great time that I would love to stay here again if I visit next time!

Guest UserGood location. The hotel locates near Matsuyama City Tram Station where is also the terminal station of airport bus. Matsuyama port is just 20 minutes train ride away. One may walk up to the Matsuyama Castle from the hotel within 40 minutes. The castle tram station and the Okaido shopping area are also within walking distance.
Staff were friendly with satisfactory services and amenities.
However it was always crowded at breakfast time.
Be reminded it's Matsuyama City Station but not the JR Matsuyama Station (JR).

Anonymous UserStayed at HOTEL MYSTAYS Matsuyama as a solo traveler and had a very pleasant experience. The location is convenient, with easy access to JR Matsuyama Station, trams, and major attractions like Matsuyama Castle and Dogo Onsen. My room was larger than I expected for Japan, clean, and comfortable.
The staff were helpful and check-in was smooth. The hotel has useful amenities such as Wi-Fi and self-service laundry, which are great for solo travelers. Breakfast was very good, with a good variety of Japanese and Western options.
Overall, it's a good-value hotel and an excellent base for exploring Matsuyama. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone who visit the city.

Anonymous UserThe hotel is not close to Dogo Onsen street and you will need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go there. There are no restaurants or shops nearby the hotel. There is a walk nearby the hotel you can take which offers nice scenery in the woods. The hotel looks a bit dated particularly the bedrooms and the corridors. I asked for a quiet room facing the mountain instead of one facing a busy road and had to pay an additional 2200 yen. The hotel has a number of onsens and I like the outdoor ones best. The buffet dinner and breakfast offer good selection and I particularly like the dinner which offered nice teppanyaki beef and sushi.
The hotel reception staff spoke very little English and the hotel did not reply to an email I sent them asking for transportation information to get to the hotel.
There are buses near the hotel which go to Matsuyama and Imabari but they run infrequently.

Really nice and quiet place. The owner is also a very kind person. Right next to the dogo onsen. The guests are mostly japanese onsen visitors and some buddhist pilgrims so the place is rather quiet in the evenings, good for those who will relax a little.

サフミBreakfast is separate (there may be plans for busy periods). There are two options available in December 2025, each priced at 800 yen. Advance reservations are required. Breakfast is served on the 7th floor with a great view. There is a slight tram noise in the morning, but it's not too noticeable. For those who like to go back and forth between the hotel and the hotel frequently, you can keep your key until check-out, which is convenient.
The price is just right for those who prefer a small private room over a capsule hotel. The smoking room was cheaper, so I booked that. As a non-smoker, the smell bothered me a little when I first entered the room, but I got used to it after a while.
Since it's a business hotel, the bathroom is small, so if you want a large bath, there's a hot spring nearby, so it's fine. Personally, I preferred this over Dogo Onsen.
