"I really liked the hotel. The price-quality ratio is perfect; I'd even say you could pay more for this comfort. The room was spacious and clean, with a forest view. Fresh linens, excellent breakfasts, and delicious coffee. A mountain lake is a 15-minute walk away. Free shuttle to the cable car. A great onsen. Traditional kemanos for visiting the onsen. Shared showers for women with plenty of skincare products. I would happily return to this hotel."

"Great experience. The staff were lovely and the area is beautiful. Rooms are very homely and comfy. We went into the onsen both nights and it was great. We also got dinner both nights at the hotel and the food was good we were impressed. Overall it felt like a very personal stay and couldn't be happier. For some of the logistics if you are wanting to do the hakone main loop. We recommend coming in from Shinjuku on the romance car, take the montain train up to Gora and then the cable car to Sounzan. We then took a roughly 10min bus from Sounzan to Yuyu. The next morning we then took the same bus back to Sounzan and caught the first 9am ropeway fo start off the loop. We managed to avoid most of the crowds and it was very convenient. Once again couldn't recommend Yuyu enough thank you for the great stay!!"

"The ********* lady who was at the counter tried to help us as best as could. I felt the service was decent and I enjoyed my time. Unfortunate that the wind stopped some of the attractions. I feel that the location might not be ideal and the tram stops working after 7 so need to keep that in mind. But you can see the entire valley at night."

"the room it self was not very clean and was also damaged/In need of repairs as there was bit of the doors broken and walls as well as the ”hot spring” area was very damaged and when you stepped on the planks of wood on one side it lifted and moved on a positive note though the staff were very hospitable and did there best and the meals were presented beautifully they also tried there best to help and tried to speak English as well (I also tried to speak in Japanese tho I am not very good yet)"

"Large resort in the scenic Hakone area with a pleasing garden view of Mt. Fuji. The Hotel Green Plaza Hakone can be reached from Odawara Station via a 50 minute bus ride up a winding mountain road. It has easy access to the Ropeway's Ubako stop, from which you can get to Lake Ashi and other tourist places. The hotel is not new, but its rooms are decent and quite large by local standards. It offers wedding services and has good amenities including a spa and public bath. While it's somewhat isolated from other shops and restaurants, guests can enjoy a sumptuous buffet style breakfast and dinner with an extensive choice of Japanese foods. The service when my wife and I were there was beyond reproach and we enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the Ropeway was a disappointment, since views were completely hidden by a thick fog. We did get some memorable views of Mt. Fuji rising out of the mist."

"The moment our car pulled up, a staff member rushed out to help with our luggage, smiling all the while. They guided us through check-in, even offering a warm towel and welcome tea – talk about a fantastic first impression! Just outside the lobby, there's a lush, green mountain view. Lounging on the beanbag chairs there, just chilling out, was incredibly therapeutic 🌿. The room itself was a typical Japanese style, spacious and spotless. The balcony even had an open-air private onsen tub, so if you didn't feel like going to the public baths, you could soak in your own hot spring while enjoying the view – maximum privacy. The hotel also provided yukata robes, and wearing them around the premises really added to the whole experience 👘. The onsen facilities were definitely the highlight! The public baths on the fifth and sixth floors alternate daily for men and women. The open-air onsen on the sixth floor had an absolutely stunning view – mountains by day, starry skies by night. Soaking in the hot spring with a towel on my head, just zoning out, felt exactly like something out of an anime. The toiletries were POLA, with everything from makeup remover to toner and lotion provided. My skin felt so smooth after the bath, I just went straight back to my room and passed out ♨️✨. For dinner, we chose the teppanyaki. The chef cooked each dish right in front of us, meticulously explaining every course in English. The ingredients were fresh, the seasoning precise – you could really taste the care put into it. Breakfast was a buffet, and having unlimited sashimi rice bowls was pure bliss. Seafood donburi lovers, rejoice! 🍣 On checkout day, a staff member stood at the entrance, bowing goodbye and waving until our car was far out of sight. That feeling of being genuinely cared for truly makes you want to come back again and again."

"This is one of the best experience I have ever had! A very friendly owner + impeccable service. They offer pick-up drop-off services at togendai and oishishita, and when I asked whether they can drop off the luggage at Gora they said yes!!! Saved me so so much time!! Great room, not the most luxurious but definitely comfy. Be aware there is no private showers though. But needless to say, when theres an onsen why would you need a private shower! The onsen is great in a sense that since it's a small hotel, there was rarely anybody. It's almost like a private onsen. The water temperature of the inner one is just right, but the outdoor one, when it's snowing is quite cold. Also, the outdoor onsen had some debris as well. So the quality of the onsen isnt top notch but for the price, it's already way above my expectations. (Also you can see mount fuji as you are enjoying the onsen!) Only downside is the location. When they offer very good pick-up and drop off services, the luggage system from the railway doesn't include this hotel. This forced me to start the trip at togendai (you could ask then to simply pick up your luggage). Not a big problem if I have known this beforehand, but I had to change plans and get on the pirate ship first, so be aware!! Overall. 10/10 experience. Good price, good room, excellent service. Would come again definitely!!"

"Очень тихое и красивое место. Минут 7 пешком от станции. Номера просторные и чистые, была приятно удивлена. Горячий источник небольшой, но всего хватает. Очень вкусная еда, а выглядит дак вообще как произведение искусства хоть и не совсем кайсеки. Для меня еды было достаточно, кроме ужина и завтрака постоянно в доступе чайно-кофейная станция. Вообще атмосфера очень уютная и домашняя, сотрудников как и гостей мало, поэтому очень тихо и хорошо. Для путешествия парой или одному в самый раз! Хотелось бы приехать еще! P.S. При заселении подарили красивый маленький термос, а когда выезжала - любезно подбросили аж до станции Гора."

"Room is clean but is kinda old school hotel everything is analog. Main issue is the lack of power points around the room. No shampoo and body wash in the room as well, available at the onsen area. No free bottled water in room. Onsen is great. Supports baggage delivery service to Hakone-Yumoto station. Location is alright if you have a Hakone free pass, 4 away from Togendai station. Entrance to hotel is pretty. Might be able to see Mt Fuji on a good day."

"As we booked quite late, the room we booked did not have in room shower. When we checked in, the reception helped us to change to a room with shower. I appreciated they remember my request and tried their best to fulfil. Staff was nice, easy to communicate. Room and bedding were new and super clean. Other than 2 double beds, it provided an extra mattress for my son, giving us three a perfect restful stay of 2 nights. The breakfast was bakery with coffee / tea / orange juice, simple but definitely sufficient. Onsen was a bit small though and the hotel location was not clear. We entered the hotel phone number in the car’s GPS system but it brought us to another hotel. Since we got there at night, it took us sometime to locate the hotel. Opposite to the hotel was 蓬萊園，there was a beautiful garden inside which was good for morning walk."
