Hotels near Anapji Pond, Gyeongju

It was my first night in a hanok and I'm very glad I had the experience. The hanok was very well located, on a quiet street not far from the famous royal tombs. The atmosphere was peaceful, just like the town. I'll be back!

I would highly recommend this hotel for the price & cleanliness. The hotel is simple but conveniently located with 7-11 within 50m and several bus stops within 100m. We were lucky to get level 1 room, so we can easily get the hot water from the dispenser and don't need to drag our luggages up the staircase. The room is very clean, so is the toilet. Bed is hard but conformable. The only pity is lack of a shower screen so the bathroom is always wet after shower. They provide daily housekeeping and daily amenities as well. Check in is a bit confusing (only de 4.30pm-12am) and the WiFi is very weak. But overall a simple and good hotel. 👍

Overall this is a nice place to stay for 1 night. Location is just outside the main visitor area which is good for us because we don’t mind the walk as exercise to walk off the food we eat. Owners are great! Very friendly and surprise each guest with simple breakfast to start of the day even though we didn’t asked for breakfast to be included. Only small inconvenience is our room didn’t come with on-suite bathroom and we have to use our bathroom at the yard which is what Koreans used to do in olden times when bathrooms are outside of the main house. It’s quite an interesting experience for me to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the yard in pitch black darkness looking for slippers to wear and running to the bathroom 😜

Very clean and convenient location. They provide a quality breakfast too (ramen, fresh eggs, ham/cheese, etc..). Very cute kitten roams around lobby, which is +@ as well. They even have self wash laundry at a very cheap price (although I ran out of time, so I couldn't try and can't tell the quality, but 2000krw per cycle is a real deal for sure). The hotel has a luggage locker, too. Much recommended, would definitely visit again!

This boutique hotel, right next to the Gyeongju Express Bus Terminal, boasts an unbeatable location. You can walk there directly after getting off the bus, making it the most convenient base for exploring the ancient city. The hotel cleverly blends modern style with Silla aesthetics. The rooms are simply designed yet incredibly tasteful, creating a peaceful and comfortable space to unwind. It's an easy walk to both Daereungwon Tomb Complex and Hwanglidan-gil Street, perfectly combining historical site visits with trendy cafe hopping. The staff are warm and professional, making tired travelers feel right at home. It's a refined choice that offers both excellent transport links and a high-quality accommodation experience.

Stayed for one night and absolutely loved it. The location is very convenient, with a bus stop nearby, making it easy to get around. The owners are incredibly friendly and kindly allowed us to check in early. They also went out of their way to help us navigate the city and suggested visiting Bulguksa Temple instead of Golgulsa Temple, which would have been too far for a day trip. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to explore Gyeongju comfortably.

Stayed with friends on a 3D2N trip. Location was generally good, close by to main shopping area, easy to get on buses and/or to call for uber. We really loved the breakfast that was included as well as free noodles being provided (cooked in a bowl). Water, coffee and teas was provided throughout the day (pantry and a separate cafe that was right beside the main entrance). There was even washer/dryer, laundry pods to purchase from them also available however we can’t comment much because we didn’t use them. Service was a hit/miss. Was greeted enthusiastically by an older gentleman, explained everything well and was very willing to share nearby eats and things to do. However, while I tried to use delivery app (that they advertised in the room, even for international travellers), the young man was not very proactive to solve our problem (unable to input Singapore number). However overall their service I will say is still very polite. Room is generally clean. However as my legs are more sensitive to bedding’s fabrics, I could feel “things” on my legs that was in contact with the beddings. That being said, we didn’t experience any skin reaction or bites. To add on, they had self service luggage locker outside of their entrance where we stored our luggage after checking out. However, to note that there is limited number of locker so would advise to store earlier in case it’s fully used. Would definitely come back here next time!

It was in a great location - just 5 minutes walk from the express bus station and 10 minutes walk from the main mounds, tombs and tourist area. The room I had (business single) was very clean and had everything I needed. The only things they didn't provide were toothbrushes and slippers. Usually they do in Korean hotels. But other than that, had all the amenities you need! It was easy to check in and out. I didn't buy the buffet breakfast but the price seemed reasonable. There was also a 24 hour convenience store in the hotel complex too. Apparently I could also use the hotel fitness center for free, but also didn't try that out. Would stay again. It was great and the price was very reasonable.

We came across a YouTube video that introduced us to Gyeongju, and it totally caught our attention. With all the historic buildings and cool sights, we figured we had to check it out—even if just for one night. Honestly, one night wasn’t enough. We definitely wish we had stayed longer. We booked a night at Gyeongju Hwangnamkwan Hanok Hotel, and it was such a unique experience. Staying in a traditional hanok felt special—like stepping into a different time. The location was super convenient, and parking was easy, which made things even smoother. The hotel had hanboks we could try on, which was a fun touch. We kind of fumbled our way through getting dressed since there weren’t any instructions or videos to help, but we made it work and got some great photos around the hotel. It would be awesome if they added a little guide for guests who aren’t familiar with hanbok. We loved being able to walk to nearby attractions and just soak in the vibe of the city. Gyeongju’s got a lot to offer, and we’re already thinking about coming back for a longer stay.

I was looking for a place to stay on a whim, but I needed to be close to the city center, do some sightseeing, and avoid waiting for parking. I also wanted somewhere with easy access to public transportation. That's why I booked this place. The price was reasonable, so I stayed for two nights. There was no cigarette smoke, it was clean, and the weather was great during my trip, so I didn't feel too cold. The only thing I wish was the soundproofing. However, since I was just going to leave in the morning, finish my day, and come back in the evening to sleep, it didn't bother me too much.
