SkyBay Hotel was great! It's changed it a lot over the past couple years. They have automated check-in now and the selection of cafes and shops in the lobby are very convenient and and open till late. The arcade is tons of fun! Visitors have the option of using the Infiniti pool and sauna for an additional fee.
The staff is helpful, and the room is clean and comfortable. However, in winter you are unable to adjust the temperature of your room. The views are incredible from skyBay Hotel. No wonder they pick this location for the drama business proposal!

Although I booked a triple room, the hotel upgraded me to a quadruple room, allowing me to use the space much more comfortably!
The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and having an unmanned convenience store right next door was very convenient for purchasing necessities or food quickly, rather than going to a regular store. I think I will definitely visit again if I come to Gangneung next time.

The location was good, the ocean view room was nice, and the staff were generally friendly, but the room was so hot that I couldn't sleep well at night. Since it's central heating, it can't be adjusted. I had to open the window.
Also, the shower towels looked shabby—I don't know if they were reused or just hung up because they were about to be thrown away—so I didn't want to touch them. Improvements are needed.

When I arrived I was astonished how close the hotel is to the sea. It's literally 1 minute by walk but you can see it from window. For this prize? Wow
Inside the room was clean, had all necessary amenities.
My only concern was lack of heating - well, the heating ac was there but there were no remote control to turn it on
But on the bed there was heating matt that helped me to get cosy
In the lobby on ground level there was a table where you could eat, water distributor, coffee and tea to use by guest.
Employees in the reception were very friendly and solved my issues fast

Disadvantages. Boiler? Heating control is not a system these days, but the hard sound of the switch continuously at 2.3 minutes, making people crazy at night, turning off and shivering and sleeping. The refrigerator is noisy.

the location was great but we came at a time (autumn, early nov) where we were told that no air conditioning will be provided. hence the room was quite hot and stuffy at night as there was only one window for ventilation that could only be opened halfway, probably due to safety considerations. however, the hotel staff did provide us with an electric fan when we asked as it was an absolute necessity especially for the top bunk. the parking was also great and convenient, but one of the nights when we arrived back at the hotel, there may be insufficient parking lots available (2 cars were waiting).

Amazing hotel. The room has everything you need. The sea is nearby 😍 and there's a beautiful lake on the other side. There's a bus stop behind the hotel, easy to get to from the train station.
There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. There's a 7/11.

GGuest UserWould like to commend front desk staff Jason for personally attending to our check-in. He had painstakingly showed us to our Block B apartment room helping to also push 1 of our bags. As the room did not provide us with a sunrise view, had requested for a room change for the 2nd night and Jason himself again personally came to help us with the room transfer movement. His good english was a also pleasant surprise.as also his charming attitude and smiling look. The resort should cherish such young & kind-hearted staff. Kudos to him!
Also, there was a manager (unfortunately could not remember his name who had a christian name to his name tag and slightly burly sized) @ the indoor pool/spa reception who should be praised for also taking the trouble to allow us entry (though we did not book any slot) on our check out day for us to take some photo pics for remembrance. He actually helped us take our couple shot, took the time to showcase us the nice indoor pool and its magnificent balcony view before accompanying us out and showing us the way to the beach. Thank you kind sir!

Comfy environment:
Hotel is very neat and clean, looks very new and smell nice once you step in entrance. Self-check-in.
P.S. i only found out after check-out that guests may choose the aroma oil at the lobby n bring it to room :] nice Flow-er experience 🌺😌
Nice amenities:
Reserved the spa n movie room while the room is equipped with projector n soundbar, n you get to control different lighting setup with tv remote control, pretty cool! Good time watching some kdrama n hot bath after long journey to spend the night. Love the fact that shower water is strong n hot enough which is very essential for me.
One downside is that the light of the ac and wifi router keep flashing at night and may affect if you are a light sleeper… everything else is great. I love how they have usb-a ports n also wireless charging!
You can also borrow extra amenities like charging cable n hair straightener at each floor locker cabinet.
Luggage Storage
Available after check-in/after check-out at each floor or lobby behind the water/coffee/refreshment section.
Overall, highly recommend with such price👍🏿

Our family of four came to Gangneung for the ***** New Year holiday; the children stayed at Skybay Hotel for two nights, and my husband and I stayed here at Brown Dot for two nights.
Brown Dot was twice as good as Skybay Gyeongpo Hotel, which is more than twice as expensive.
My husband didn't hold back on his praise, saying the breakfast was delicious too.

GGuest UserSuper nice sea view , room look exactly like the photo . Room with simple cooking equipment that u can cook ramen or little snack . Dryer , towel all those basic things are provided. But 2 things u have to take notes , this homestay type of property doest not have reception or person incharge at the area , even during check in , so make sure u contact with trip.com to get the check in information before u reach there , or else if u can speak korean or u will need to at-least have a number that can call Korean number to contact property management when u arrive and tell them u need check in , i think simple English like “check in “ they can understand. If u don’t have any number that can call or did not contact trip earlier on to get the information, u will be there and wait and u can’t check in smoothly for sure . Secondly this location is far from the city area (like ktx/ bus express terminal and anmok beach ) this location is only near to sundubu gelato by foot about 20min. My suggestion is if u wanna stay here , prepare food and drink and stay whole day just in room to enjoy the view of sea and nice room if u did not driving . Basically for the view and nice room , I will come back again .

SSharonSThe Sun Cruise Hotel is my top choice. This is my second time visiting and staying here. The hotel has a great beach view, and you can watch both sunset and sunrise. Location-wise, it's excellent – just 10 minutes from Jeongdongjin Station. It's a great place to relax and escape the hustle of Seoul city life 👍.
However, the service at the front desk was a bit disappointing. I understand there may be language barriers, and I used Papago translation to communicate in Korean, but they still seemed unw welcoming to us as foreigners. They simply answered ”no” to my question without offering alternative suggestions. As front desk staff, they should provide other options or suggestions to hotel guests instead of just saying ”no” and ending the conversation.

It was nice that there was a children's playground, an indoor pool, and a large hot spring bath. The child was very satisfied.
The dinner buffet had delicious snow crab and sashimi.
There were various activities on site, as well as a convenience store, restaurant, and cafe, so we could enjoy ourselves all day at the resort.
About 20 cm of snow fell in the middle of the night, but the staff worked hard to shovel it away, which was great.
There were mats laid in the pool to prevent slipping, but they were not all over the place, so the tiled parts were slippery, so please be careful if you have small children.
I asked for bed guards when I checked in, but they never came to install them.

RRemalinaThis place is a perfect place for those who want to stay close to the big beaches, but not on the big beach itself^^ The area is super quiet and the beach is a little bit deserted, but it only takes 10 minutes to walk to the central beach with all all the facilities. The owners met us with the drip coffee bags with a password, we didn’t really see them all this time, which is perfect for introverts too 🙌 We especially enjoyed our breakfasts outside at the terrace, and the food was exceptional, thank you so much for preparing those kimpabs and hot sandwiches 💛 They also had towels and you could use as many as you wanted (one towel per day I guess?) The only thing that was disappointing was the absence of the elevator (we had to carry our suitcases to the 4th floor), but it was the only inconvenience, so it did not really ruin the whole experience!! 🙌🥹👌 There weren’t that many people living on our floor, so it was not that noisy (maybe take some earplugs for the night tho?)

GGuest UserThe store is respectful and the room is clean and tidy. fully equipped. There is also a cat at the door. There is a bus stop at the entrance of the hotel, very quiet. The spa bathtub can remove travel fatigue. It is recommended to bring some meat and barbecue at the door. There is also a small shop at the entrance. Go directly to the beach for 3 minutes. A good place for sea fishing. Very good travel experience.
