Hotels near Jongno 3-ga Station, Seoul

I chose a hotel near Myeongdong for my trip to Seoul and found this one. From Gimpo Airport, you can take Line 5 directly to the hotel, and it's just a 170-meter walk from the exit. If you're coming from Incheon Airport, there's a 6015 bus right downstairs, which is super convenient. The hotel's location is excellent, with subway lines 2 and 5 right downstairs, and many bus routes. It's just a few stops from Myeongdong and close to attractions like Gyeongbokgung Palace, all accessible by bus or subway. There's a supermarket and coffee shops downstairs, but not many great restaurants. The hotel rooms are well-equipped and clean. The staff proactively cleaned the room, keeping it neat and tidy. However, the hotel doesn't provide toothpaste or toothbrushes. The only downside is the poor soundproofing; I could hear people washing up in the next room past midnight and chatting after 2 AM. Overall, it's a good hotel.

Since it was just opened, I searched for it on Naver Maps or Kakao Maps and it didn't come up, so I was worried it might actually be there, but it turned out fine! There was no floor guide on the website, so just to clarify, there is a kiosk on the 4th floor where you can check in, receive your room number and go to your room. The elevator goes up to the 5th floor, and there is a common space on the 6th floor where you can enjoy a cafe corner, ramen, and other services. The microwave was broken so I couldn't heat up my tteokbokki, which was disappointing 😭 The room was clean and had a refrigerator and table, so I had a comfortable stay!

This was my first hostel experience, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was. They constantly replenished the communal towels, and the lobby had everything you could possibly need, so I was very satisfied with my stay.

The accommodation looks exactly like the photos and is super clean! I really loved the view of Namsan Tower from the room, so romantic! The kitchen is well-equipped for a simple breakfast with toast, jam, milk, and orange juice. There's even a water dispenser, so I didn't have to drink the water I'd bought beforehand. The hairdryer has a strong airflow, and the bathroom is spotless! I had mistakenly thought there would be a TV, but there wasn't, so I couldn't watch videos at the accommodation and ended up watching them on my phone with my friend. Aside from that, the electric blanket was wonderfully warm, ensuring a cozy night's sleep. Free laundry and drying facilities are also available. There were a lot of international guests, which made it feel like I was abroad even though I was in Korea. One thing to note: there are many stairs from the entrance, so my friend and I struggled quite a bit with our heavy luggage when checking in. I'd only recommend it for those with light luggage. Lastly, the Bluetooth speaker in the living room was on all night, and the sound was quite disruptive. It's not that there's no soundproofing, but because it was so quiet in the early morning, the sound seemed even louder. My friends also asked what the noise was, and after investigating, we realized it was the speaker, so we turned it off and finally got some sleep.

I stayed here alone and it was super clean! The bed was big and comfortable, and being able to watch YouTube was a huge plus. The bathroom and toilet were also spotless. There were two bottles of water in the fridge, which was a nice touch. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel, so finding food isn't an issue at all, and there's a convenience store within walking distance too. For breakfast, I wanted to walk around, so I headed over to Gwangjang Market.

The front desk service was excellent; they were very patient and resolved all my issues. They also thoroughly explained everything I needed to know about my stay. The separate bathroom and toilet were very convenient. The capsule sleeping space was surprisingly large, and being able to store my luggage under the bed was a huge plus. For a solo traveler in Seoul, this place offers great value for money. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and even a 'Life4Cuts' photo booth downstairs. It's also very close to the subway station, so the location is fantastic. Plus, you need a card to enter and exit, which makes it feel very safe.

The location is great, very convenient, and close to both Exit 7 and Exit 6 of Dongdaemun Subway Station. Exit 6 has a direct elevator, which is a plus if you have a lot of luggage. The service is also excellent; the front desk staff helped me with my bags and were always polite, bowing and greeting me whenever I left. Their attitude is really nice! This place is perfect for solo travelers, and the value for money is outstanding. The only downside is that it's not very soundproof, but the hotel does provide earplugs for sleeping!

Location is one of the best consider the price which is very affordable. I stay for 5nights however as they do not have many rooms, I think just 1-3 rooms per room types, they tend to sold out quite fast, which for my case, I have to change room type 3 times for the 5 nights stay. Some room is very small, which is expected for the price and the location. Plus point is that, a huge window to look outside. Room heating is also good during winter time, also room is clean and tidy. Only negative is that as I have to check out at 12pm and re check in again at 3pm if u have different room type, and staff may have different instructions on where to store your luggage. However they will bring it luggage to the room once it’s available which is good. Overall, for that pricing, no complaints.

My stay at HOTEL BOTANIK's Deluxe King Room in Myeongdong exceeded my expectations. The room had a modern, apartment-style feel with brand new facilities and full amenities, making it ideal for those planning a longer stay in Seoul. The in-room amenities were definitely the highlight. The air conditioning had a control panel for temperature adjustment, and it came equipped with an AirDresser, a washer-dryer combo, a separate fridge and freezer, an induction hob, and a microwave oven. Inside the cabinets, there was even a wine cooler, wine glasses, and mugs, giving it the feel of a small boutique apartment. Charging was also convenient, with both USB and Type-C outlets available, and the bidet toilet had a full range of functions. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation design, and the water pressure was consistent, making for a very comfortable shower. However, there were a few things to note: The kitchenware provided was quite basic, with only two plates, which might be insufficient if you plan to do a lot of cooking. Also, laundry detergent wasn't provided in the room, but you could purchase it at the front desk if needed. There are several construction sites near the hotel, but surprisingly, the soundproofing was excellent during my stay, with no noticeable noise at night. My sleep quality was quite peaceful. Overall, this hotel is more of a ”high-functional type” accommodation. The facilities are new and highly practical, feeling more like staying in a well-designed apartment than a traditional hotel. It made for a very comfortable stay.

The room was on a high floor. Due to limited availability, I had to book two different room types for my two-night stay. The actual room size was the same, but the price difference was quite significant. Plus, for the extended stay, I had to go through the whole check-in process again, which was a bit of a hassle. On the bright side, the location is excellent, right by the subway station, which is very convenient. The breakfast was also pretty good.
