From the moment I landed, I knew this stay would be special. I was collected from the airport in a luxury Jaguar , (completely free) and transported again at departure, including complimentary trips to and from the city centre. Actual VIP treatment from start to finish .... something I have never experienced anywhere else.
Because my flights didn’t match standard hotel times, the team kindly allowed early check-in and late check-out at no extra cost, which took away all travel stress and made my stay even more comfortable. That flexibility meant everything to me.
Every single staff member was amazingly warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Although I sadly didn’t manage to catch the names of the wonderful ladies at reception, they were absolutely incredible and deserve huge praise. Special mention to Tomas — such a professional, friendly, standout member of the team. I later found out his birthday was on Thursday 4th, and I wish I had the chance to say Happy Birthday before I left!
The location is perfect — close to shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to explore Porto while still enjoying a calm, comfortable stay.
The room was immaculate — spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully prepared. And the amenities were next-level:
Mini-bar, tea and coffee station with kettle, plush slippers, bathrobe, bottled water......everything thoughtfully provided. I was welcomed with a welcome drink on arrival, and a fresh fruit tray waiting in my room. Nothing felt standard, everything felt intentional.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail. There is a clear sense of care, love, and purpose in every interaction and every small touch. You’re not treated like just another guest , you are genuinely looked after.
I honestly cannot fault a single thing about this stay. Hotel Jaguar Porto combines luxury service with real warmth and heart, a rare find.
If you’re heading to Porto and looking for an experience that goes far beyond accommodation, this is THE hotel to book.
100% recommended. I will absolutely be back. ✨👏

It's a bit far from the city center, but you can still walk everywhere. It's clean and nice, but as someone who traveled alone, it was a little scary at night. ㅠ It's really good if you don't wander around late at night.
Oh, right, this hotel doesn't have an elevator, so you have to take the stairs...! If you have a big suitcase, it might be a little difficult.

This is not in the central area but the transportation is convenient. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the subway station. There are also several bus stops nearby. The hotel room is very small, especially the toilet, almost can't turn around, but the facilities are still new. The boss's rule is that he will greet new guests and send a glass of Porto red wine, which is really warm. We stayed for 4 nights and felt good. There was a small supermarket around to buy food at a much cheaper price than in the downtown area. I actually saw that everyone loved Portuguese. It was interesting. If you travel here, you will take the bus. You are not afraid to spend 10 minutes on the road every day but you can save money. This is a good choice.

Very friendly and kind service: these are people who are willing to go the distance to ensure you have a nice stay. We asked for an end of corridor room and was given one. Breakfast is ample and will satisfy most hungers. I only suggest that they rotate hot dishes for example so guests who stay several nights may enjoy a little variety.
The management should be proud of what they have been able to achieve in the six months since they opened in July 2025.

In general the hotel is very good. You have to sort out the good and the bad, the good thing is its location on a main street but out of the crowd, the breakfast is very rich and varied. The bad thing is that although it was clean there was humidity in the room and when you passed it you had to breathe normally.

The garden room is a bit away from the main building. It is very big and clean, but does not have the hairdryer so I need to borrow from the front desk. Besides, the quilt is a little too thin. While it’s location of this hotel is quiet good. The overall service is good.

The room was fine, all white. When I booked, a 400 RMB security deposit was charged to my credit card. The booking platform said the hotel would refund it. When I asked the hotel staff, they said they didn't know and hadn't collected it offline, so I didn't know if it would be refunded. Also, after checking out that morning, I discovered my wallet was missing and immediately went back to look for it. Knowing it was highly unlikely to be found, I just wanted to take a look, giving up hope. Upon arrival, two staff members said the room had been thoroughly disturbed and nothing was left. I asked if I could go in and see if I had dropped anything under the bed, but they wouldn't let me. Then they said a new guest had checked in. I knocked on the door and asked if I could take a look, but the two staff members also said no. One of the women, seeing my concern, offered me a glass of water, which I appreciated, but I still don't understand why they didn't allow me to.

Amazing
GGuest UserOur family reserved 3 rooms and arrived on a very early flight . Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappoin**ent was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.
GGuest UserLast year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment.
Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately.
The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied.
The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too.
Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out.
The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is fantastic. Walking distance to most places. The metro is right outside too. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the Bolhão market and shopping area is only a few minutes walk away. The service is great as well.
AAnonymous UserThe hostel is in a perfect location being right in the centre of Porto. The room and bed are decent. There are two bathrooms with shower in a room so it’s pretty nice. However, there is almost no water coming out from one of the shower and got some insect bites sleeping here ;( things are pretty great besides tha
UUrban VoyagerWe had a wonderful stay at Eurostars Aliados in Porto. While advertised as a 5-star hotel, it feels more like a high-end 4-star, mainly because it lacks some of the extra touches of luxury and service you’d expect from a top-tier 5-star experience. That said, it still offers great value for money and an excellent stay.
One of the hotel’s strongest points is its location—right in the heart of Porto, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and well-insulated, allowing for a great night’s sleep.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome right away. Throughout our stay, the staff remained courteous and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience.
Our room was spacious, stylish, and very comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed, elegant decor, and a huge shower that added a touch of indulgence. Everything was spotlessly clean, which is always a priority when choosing a hotel.
The hotel has a spa with a gym, sauna, and hammam, free for guests. While we didn’t have time to use them, they looked modern, well-maintained, and inviting, adding to the hotel’s appeal.
Overall, Eurostars Aliados delivers a stylish and comfortable stay at a reasonable price. While it may not quite reach the level of a true 5-star experience, it’s an excellent option for those looking for a high-quality hotel in the center of Porto. We would definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserOverall very satisfied. The room is fully equipped and clean. The washbasin is very unique, and the wet and dry bathrooms are separated. From the hotel lobby, you can walk directly to the food court next door. Next to it is the bus station, and the taxi station is a five-minute walk away. It takes at least half an hour to walk to the attractions, so it is recommended to take a taxi.
UUAGJAQThis is a beautiful apartment that made us not want to leave the room. It is apartment that came with a kitchen, dinner area, living area and a bedroom.
You need to download the hotel’s app to be able to access the doors to the hotel and your room. Just select key on the app, bring your phone near the keypad and the door opens.
Alternatively , you can also key in the 6-digit and #. 5G access may be inaccessible but you can manually switch it your phone to 4G and you will be able to access the app.
There are close by restaurants that was less than 5mins walk; Thai, Chinese, Indian and a local diner that was cheap. There’s portions are big enough for 2.
There’s also a provision shop right next door that you can buy your necessities like water, drinks etc. Don’t buy travel adaptors as they don’t work or fit.
Easy to get Uber to the hotel and from the hotel to anywhere.
EEmilyI recently spent four nights at Aparthotel Oporto Sol, and while my stay was overall okay, it came with a few drawbacks.
First, the location is a bit outside the main area of Porto, which required some extra effort to get into the heart of the city. While the surroundings were quiet and less crowded, I did find myself relying on public transport or taxis more than I would have liked.
One of the main issues was the absence of air conditioning in the bedroom. During my stay, the temperatures were warm, and it made things uncomfortable at night. Opening the windows was not an option due to the presence of mosquitoes outside, which meant I struggled to find a comfortable sleeping temperature.
On the positive side, the apartment itself was spacious and generally clean. The amenities were adequate for my needs, and the staff was friendly and helpful, albeit a few blocks over. I appreciated the kitchenette, which allowed me to prepare some of my own meals during my stay.
In summary, while my stay at Aparthotel Oporto Sol had its merits, the lack of air conditioning and its location outside the main area impacted my overall experience. If you're sensitive to heat or prefer to be in the city center, you may want to consider other options. Otherwise, it serves as a decent accommodation for those seeking a quieter spot.
GGuest UserA very strange hotel. On the plus side, there's air conditioning, clean linens, and toiletries. A pleasant woman from Colombia at the front desk. On the minus side, there's no elevator, so if you're carrying heavy bags, you'll have to go up as you please. We had room 9, and the bathroom and the room are the same thing. It feels like you're sleeping in the bathroom. I was with my husband, who obviously knows me, but I still felt uncomfortable going to the bathroom. There are mirrors all around, and even if you don't want anyone to see you, excuse the expression, pooping, they'll still see you. So, couples on a romantic trip shouldn't be here, only seasoned married couples. The leatherette bed wasn't exactly fresh and had holes in it. Early check-in wasn't allowed.
Some top places to stay in Porto are near popular attractions like Luís I Bridge, Porto Cathedral and Ribeira—so you can quickly get to top landmarks and amenities you need.
