Had a single night stay at this place before heading back home from SFO. It was exceptionally clean and modern. The check in and check out processes are all automatic. They also provide towel and shower gel, making it one of the few hostels in the West that is up to the standard of those in Asia. Will definitely stay again when I'm traveling to SF!

Union was the right price in the very right location, and wonderful people running the place as well. Toilet & washroom were in the hallway, but that was OK with me, as I've traveled extensively outside the West, and done that regularly. BART access is nearly doorstep, which was a top priority - loved it! Location is right at the ”Burrito Triangle”, with lots of other food available, too, so dining is easy. Their complimentary coffee is strong & fresh, but since DIY was permitted, I brought my civet coffee & fill-yourself K-cups. Good place to stay!

The hotel is in a great location, right near Union Square. If you like walking, you can practically reach all the downtown attractions on foot from here. Interestingly, when you enter through the side door of the hotel, there's a cable car parked inside – I'm not sure if it's for display or still operational, but I did take a ride on a cable car at a station near the hotel later. Inside the room, beyond the towels and large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, there was nothing else. Not even a disposable shower cap. There was no complimentary bottled water either. While there was a capsule coffee machine, there was no kettle, so I had to ask the housekeeper for one. The bar on the 46th floor has fantastic views; it's a great spot for a drink and to enjoy San Francisco at night. I didn't get a chance to use the pool, but I'm sure it's nice too.

I like this place. It’s convenient to get around and close to important locations, including public transportation stations. However, I would like to deduct points for the housekeeping service. I requested two towel replacements, and while they did replace them, I received one bath towel and one floor mat instead of two towels.

Facilities: Fully equipped.
Cleanliness: Very clean.
Environment: This was my first time seeing an elevator like this; I'd only ever seen them in movies before.
Breakfast: I loved the yogurt and the apples; the apples were very fresh.
The front desk staff was very helpful and even asked if I needed help calling a taxi.
I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again next time I'm in San Francisco 😊

My sister and I stayed at Piona Hotel for 9 nights. It's centrally located, close to many tourist attractions. Initially, we planned to explore the area on foot, but there were so many homeless people that we didn't feel safe walking around. We ended up taking Ubers everywhere we went. I definitely wouldn't recommend going out for a walk at night as it felt quite scary.
However, the staff were incredibly helpful. I was very impressed and would certainly choose Piona again if I have the chance to return. I'd also recommend it to my friends. The breakfast offered a lovely selection of snacks and fruits.

A relatively clean place. The bathrooms were clean too, even if they were shared across all people on the floor. The hotel is close to many bars and restaurants. And getting to Mission District is only a few stops on the 22 bus.

The room was quite big and quiet, the front desk was very polite and the check-in process was very smooth. There is a shuttle bus, arrive on time, remember to tell the driver which passenger building will be delivered directly.
Hotel opening October 2023. Designed with your convenience in mind, our property is located in the charming Nob Hill District and nearby cafes, restaurants, and shopping. Mithila Hotel is also mere steps away from world-class theaters, cable cars, and attractions! While you are visiting, be sure to check out Union Square, the Financial District, and Chinatown. Our location is exceptional for business and pleasure travelers alike.

The hotel has a pleasant location with several restaurants and bars nearby.
There aren't as many homeless people as you might think, but you shouldn't go down the hill; it gets quite bad there.
The elevator isn't for people who are afraid of heights.
The reception staff were very friendly.
The room was adequate for one person, and you can open a window.
Bring your own shower gel; only shampoo, conditioner, and a bar of soap are provided.
All in all, I would book this hotel again if I'm ever in San Francisco.
citizenM San Francisco Union Square is your stylish base for a day of museum-hopping, gallery-strolling or shopping like you mean it. Right in the city's retail and arts district, we're just a 3-minute walk from Union Square and a short stroll to theatres, cafes, and must-see sights. Inside, it's all mood lighting, wall-to-wall windows, and XL beds built for deep sleep after big days out. Rooms come with tablet-controlled everything - from blackout blinds to Chromecast - plus rain showers, free Wi-Fi and fluffy towels. Downstairs, canteenM dishes out 24/7 food, barista coffees and evening cocktails. The designer living room is made for relaxing or remote working. San Francisco International Airport is just 20 minutes away by car, and Union Square Station is around the corner. Whether you're here to conquer landmarks or just the local brunch scene - you'll be sorted.

My favorite CitizenM hotel, the experience was as great as always. The downtown area is right downstairs, and even though it's a bit messy, I never felt unsafe. It's also very close to the tram station. Just a heads up, the 'dangerous' tenderloin district isn't too far from here.

Great
NNicoleThe location was decent—about a 20-minute walk to the cable car and Chinatown. Service was solid, and the staff were helpful, offering great suggestions on places to visit. The complimentary morning tea and coffee and afternoon wine tasting section in the lobby was a nice touch. However, one downside was the lack of good budget-friendly breakfast options nearby.
GGuest UserVery expensive for a B&B. Nice spot in the Castro/ Mission district near Dolores Park. Well-maintained & reasonable management. Lots of stairs to go up into main house lobby — wrought iron gates with intercom to buzz to get entry into property. Try to get a room in the older main house to minimize stairs! No AC. They have limited parking spots behind the two B&B houses (access from Dorland St) for US$35./day plus tax which is a steep price. Make sure u book a parking spot in advance. Beautiful garden courtyard in the back. Sadly we never got to use it. Try to get a room that faces the other “house” or the backyard - quieter. We had a front room Deluxe King Room 36 which looked nothing like the sample room photos (only one Room 24 w courtyard view, sofa, coffee table). We got a smaller room approx 290sf vs what we paid for 32sq.m, 344sf, no closet just small armoire to hang a couple of things, no sofa, no coffee table, no balcony. They were kind enough to give us a refund for the price difference between the Deluxe King we booked & the Standard King we got. Had to ask for them to vacuum room. Found tissue under headboard/bed, dusty. Not the kind of room you would want to spend much time in —teeny tiny TV, faced front noisy street with electric bus passing by. No screens in windows so had to close windows at night to keep critters out. Bed was ok. Pillows were synthetic & lumpy. View was of electric lines & school across the street. Beware some electric outlets. One was burnt out. Breakfast was repetitive but nice to eat in a lovely breakfast room or outdoor deck. Hard-boiled eggs, muesli, fruit, muffins/ carbs, American coffee, juices. Fortunately SPRO café was next door if you need a great cappuccino or chai latté! Didn’t get a chance to enjoy their wine & cheese. Contact them on WhatsApp +1 (415) 297-6891 to discuss rooms available.
Ccarrie2000This hotel feels very good, the layout and facilities of the hotel are very atmospheric, the service attitude is very good, the surrounding environment is also good, supermarkets, restaurants, and transportation are very convenient.
EErbasOur stay at Nob Hill Hotel was unexpectedly great.
Although it’s a little far from Union Square, the walk was very tolerable. What really stood out was the free unlimited water and coffee available 24/7, which was a huge plus. The hotel also has a very unique lift and a charming, distinctive style that added character to our stay. Overall, a pleasant surprise and a comfortable experience.
We would also like to commend the helpfulness of Emmanuel, who assisted us during our stay. He is very kind and accommodating, and his warm service truly made our experience even better. We will definitely come back and even cancelled our other hotel booking so we can return again after our visit here in Hollywood.
GGuest UserThis Hotel has great customer service all the way through. It is in a prime location basically a block from Fisherman’s Wharf. The rooms are a little small, the bathroom is as well. They have a vanity outside of the room with the only bathroom switch which I thought was weird. I requested a quiet room and I got exactly that so beggars can’t be choosers. All in all it’s a good hotel especially when you are out and about in the City.
AAnonymous UserHotel Spero offers a charming boutique stay in San Francisco with stylish decor, friendly staff, and eco-friendly touches. Rooms are cozy, and the location is convenient but can be busy. At Jasper, the hotel’s restaurant, the yogurt parfait is a fresh and light breakfast option with creamy yogurt, berries, and granola. A great choice for comfort and character.
DDadashuaidexiaojiejieStayed for two days. I felt uncomfortable on the first day. There were many homeless people around. The breakfast was small and simple. The room and bed were OK. I got used to it on the second day and felt it was OK.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is convenient, about 800 meters' walk to the Civic Center/UN Plaza metro station, and close to Union Square and Chinatown. However, there are many homeless people in the surrounding streets, which makes the environmental smell a bit strong. Although the room is a bit cramped, it is generally clean and tidy. The blackout curtains are excellent, and there are plenty of power outlets near the desk and bed. The bath towels are very new and pleasant to use. Breakfast is served from 7-10 AM, but the variety is simple.
GGuest UserThis stay was great! The room was clean and tidy, the facilities were complete, the bedding was comfortable, the front desk service was warm and thoughtful, the location was convenient, and there was everything to eat, drink and have fun around. I will come again next time!
TTy TravelerI stayed here on New Year’s Eve and enjoyed my stay. The workers are nice and helpful and the room was very clean. The room was small and simple, but the bed was comfortable and heater worked efficiently. If you’re spending a few days in San Fran, stay here. You won’t regret it.
