Hotels near Glen Park, San Francisco

Very expensive for a B&B. Nice spot in the Castro/ Mission district near Dolores Park. Well-maintained & reasonable management. Lots of stairs to go up into main house lobby — wrought iron gates with intercom to buzz to get entry into property. Try to get a room in the older main house to minimize stairs! No AC. They have limited parking spots behind the two B&B houses (access from Dorland St) for US$35./day plus tax which is a steep price. Make sure u book a parking spot in advance. Beautiful garden courtyard in the back. Sadly we never got to use it. Try to get a room that faces the other “house” or the backyard - quieter. We had a front room Deluxe King Room 36 which looked nothing like the sample room photos (only one Room 24 w courtyard view, sofa, coffee table). We got a smaller room approx 290sf vs what we paid for 32sq.m, 344sf, no closet just small armoire to hang a couple of things, no sofa, no coffee table, no balcony. They were kind enough to give us a refund for the price difference between the Deluxe King we booked & the Standard King we got. Had to ask for them to vacuum room. Found tissue under headboard/bed, dusty. Not the kind of room you would want to spend much time in —teeny tiny TV, faced front noisy street with electric bus passing by. No screens in windows so had to close windows at night to keep critters out. Bed was ok. Pillows were synthetic & lumpy. View was of electric lines & school across the street. Beware some electric outlets. One was burnt out. Breakfast was repetitive but nice to eat in a lovely breakfast room or outdoor deck. Hard-boiled eggs, muesli, fruit, muffins/ carbs, American coffee, juices. Fortunately SPRO café was next door if you need a great cappuccino or chai latté! Great inexpensive place. If you need to sleep for the night it is perfect. If you are looking to lounge by a pool with your kids, keep looking because this is not for you. They have nice televisions in the room, and access to the shower and bathroom n the hall. Coffee by reception area.

The space is a little smaller, the floor is better if it is not a cement floor, and it is quite comfortable for one night overall.

An artist and writer-themed hotel, with each room boasting a unique artist theme. The lobby is even heated in summer (as Mark Twain famously said, 'The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco'). It offers superb value for money and is my absolute go-to place every time I visit San Francisco.

A relatively clean place. The bathrooms were clean too, even if they were shared across all people on the floor. The hotel is close to many bars and restaurants. And getting to Mission District is only a few stops on the 22 bus.

The hotel is clean, almost every day they change. Unfortunately breakfast is little, but I think it is perhaps a still spacious organization, but good from. Position in strategic reality because to the nearby public means that bring you all the way well. Great staff, all available ready to serve you (CIT Samuel or Sam in particular very good) Unfortunately, it has a sin, the area, because there are many people in the street. Then we were there 5 days, at first if you are not used to scare, then you realize that police every 100m so we say ”You feel better”. I advise you, and I advise you to keep your car at their parking available.

Great value for money! If you're traveling solo in San Francisco and want to avoid hostels, this is a fantastic option. Check-in is strictly after 3 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM, but they didn't rush me even though I was a little late checking out. It's located in a quiet neighborhood.

This hotel feels very good, the layout and facilities of the hotel are very atmospheric, the service attitude is very good, the surrounding environment is also good, supermarkets, restaurants, and transportation are very convenient.

The hotel is on a very good location. Building is dated and shows signs of its age. Place is kept clean by the friendly staff. There’s not much by way of amenities but it serves well to sleep in after a full day of walking. Breakfast is free but continental and the selection is very limited. Not bad to start with. It’s free.  I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

Nice accomodation and perfect location. Walking distnace to Union square.
