"This time, I stayed in a room with a small kitchen, and it was very convenient to have basic cooking utensils provided so I could prepare some simple food. The hotel's location is also great, making it easy to get to SEA WORLD. You can also store your luggage after check-out."

"The hotel was really nice. I loved the entrance space it was very spacious. I also liked that it was free parking all around the property even the garage. You're close to pretty much everything. My favorite thing about the hotel would be the bathroom it was marvelous. Definitely different than what was on the site which was amazing."

"I found that there were hair on the towels and no shampoo, but they could all be resolved. The room is large, has a microwave oven, is close to the road but has good sound insulation, new facilities, breakfast is better than the Sheraton at the back, but the serving time is shorter. Now I figured it out. The hotels with the suffix BY marriot, byhillton, by, etc., are not the big room wives of these big hotels. They just put a name, but sometimes they are more real. The hotel's strength is concentrated on accommodation, eating, and safety. , Easy access and other core areas, not the appearance of the lobby, bar, and service staff"

"Everything about the hotel was great, but the parking fee was too expensive. The breakfast was good, with more options than a typical American hotel. Overall, it was decent and well-maintained. I'd consider staying here again next time."

"The location is a bit out of the way; it takes over 15 minutes to drive to any attractions, and there's not much at the nearby mall. Parking costs $40 a night. The mattress was uncomfortable, sagging in the middle with the foot end higher than the head end. The water pressure at the sink was very low. Breakfast was $27, and with tax and tip, it came to nearly $34 per person. There wasn't much variety: two types of eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, and mostly carbs, with no vegetables. There were some fruits and yogurt, though. The staff were very good, offering to pack drinks to go, like iced lemonade, coffee, or tea."

"𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱. I stayed there for 2 weeks, working from home during the day, going out at night. Pros: - excellent value for the comfort and amenities at under $65/night - great desk & comfortable chair for laptop work - nice modern Philips large-screen TV you can connect to via HDMI - the Internet was ok (~10Mbps) but disconnected daily (reconnecting the WiFi restored it) - pretty quiet considering the proximity to the freeway: just white noise, haven't heard any revving or sirens - walls don't provide much sound insulation but I've heard only ONE neighbor conversation during my 2-week stay. It did help that I chose a room on the top floor, and next to the janitorial room (#522) - the wall-mounted A/C was surprisingly quiet, and heating worked fast - ventilation was okay if you keep the window open about 1ft - only saw 3 flying insects, and a crawling one in the shower - clean room, only found a few hair strands in the shower - mini-fridge was quiet and held a week's worth of food - great use of space: 4 large drawers, rack with clothes hangers, space for suitcases to be out of the way, 2 mirrors - the staff was very kind of provide a microwave, can opener, paper plates - pool was clean - two hot tubs were great, and MUCH cleaner than my friend's who stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott next door - coin-operated laundry on site ($2.50 + $2.50 W/D, $1.50 laundry soap) - nice landscaping and you could smell eucalyptus trees Neutral: - the pool/hot tub area closed at 10pm - there's nothing to do in the walkable area (just other hotels), but North Park is only a $10 Uber ride away, and the Fashion Mall is right across the freeway - construction in front of the lobby should be finished by the end of 2025 Cons: - gym was tiny and lacking: only 4 cardio machines (one elliptical that felt awkward) and one cable station with fixed cable points; no free weights, towels, or watercooler cups"

"We were pleasantly surprised with the Kings Inn!  After some of the reviews, we were wary that it wasn't going to be clean, but it was totally fine!  Our room was great - the floor probably could have been cleaned more, but for an inn that opens directly to the outside, we didn't think it was bad.  The front desk people were very kind and helpful.  The pool was great and so nice that it wasn't freezing cold!  They supplied plenty of towels.  We didn't have breakfast there.  We were thankful for it's close location to lots of restaurants and several good beaches!  We'd stay here again!  It's hard to find a decent place to stay in San Diego that doesn't cost a ton - so we were very thankful.  It was also very convenient to be able to do laundry if needed - we just dried all the things we used at the beach (for a small fee).  One of the cleaning ladies was extremely kind and helpful when my son, who uses crutches for cerebral palsy, slipped and fell - she helped me get him up and then helped with getting a chair for him to sit in.  I really appreciated her thoughtfulness and help!  Thank you for a good night's stay for our family in San Diego! "

"We stayed for two nights. When we first opened the room, there was a slight odor, which improved a bit after turning on the air conditioning. We booked it seeing that it was renovated, but it still looked a bit old. My cousin forgot to bring his toothbrush and slippers, but the hotel didn't provide them, so he had to go out and buy them himself. Breakfast was mediocre."

"The room was of a good size, clean, and comfortable. The service was also quite good. The only drawback was that there was no free parking. We parked our car on the roadside near the hotel."

"Located at convoy so good for food, has wide parking spaces but might run out on busy days if u return late, pretty good room but doesn’t clean your room until you checkout so keep that in mind, 15-20 minute drive to downtown, overall hotel I would recommend."
