Hotels near Pho Co, Hanoi

Second time staying here, and I still love the scent in the elevator – wish I knew where to buy it! Hanoi is changing so fast; two months ago there was a bus stop nearby with the #17 bus to the airport, but it's gone now. Good thing it's not far from Long Bien Bus Terminal, so I can catch a bus there. Today, I found out the E11 bus is free for foreigners! I told the driver I wanted to go to One Pillar Pagoda, and he actually stopped on a small road nearby and let me off. How great is that?!

The hotel staff were very friendly. When I arrived, they welcomed me with snacks and tea, which was a very nice touch. I arrived early at 11:00 AM, and the staff kindly stored my luggage and asked me to come back at 1:30 PM for check-in. All staff speak good English, so communication was easy. The hotel location is very convenient, near the Old Town gate, and it was easy to go everywhere from there. When I booked the room, I thought it would be very small, but it was actually a good size for two people. The A/C worked well. The only thing I didn’t like very much was the bathroom — it has frosted glass walls, which may not be comfortable for everyone. They provided 2 bottles of water daily. My booking included breakfast, which started at 6:30 AM. The breakfast was very good — buffet style, nice food, and the breakfast area is on the top floor with a nice view. The breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back to this hotel. Highly recommended and not expensive.

Convenient location to walk around in old quarter. However it's also a drawback amdue to road closure in old quarter during certain hours/days. Our Grab from the airport dropped us at a junction 40m from the hotel, pointing at the roadside and said no car entry to the road in front of the hotel. So we had to walk with our luggages. It's a short walk but not so pleasant with the luggages and navigation with Google Map. The check-in staff told us, however that the Grab driver could have driven in because it was after 10 pm but the Grab driver probably didn't know. The superior room with window is a bit small and has no space to open luggages. The window and very narrow balcony on this 3rd floor room open to a wall an arm length away, which makes it not worh having. The smart TV equipped with YouTube, Netflix and browser was very good. Breakfast buffet spreads are a bit limited but offers good choices, particularly the delicious assembly hot on the spot. Good views of Honoi river and roads views from the breakfast place on 9th floor. Free afternoon tea is also offered at the same place during our stay. Staffs were polite and friendly throughout particularly those at breakfast and afternoon tea. The only disappointments for me were that there were pungent-smelly slippers in the cupboard at arrival and I couldn't get an extra pillow I requested for my back. They told me over a few enquiries (over a couple of days to different staff) that there were no spares.

Although we only stayed in Hanoi for one night, our experience was incredibly heartwarming. I especially want to commend the front desk lady, who helped us immensely! Here's what happened: On the night we checked in, we discovered an issue with the shower. After calling the front desk, the lady immediately upgraded our room without hesitation. Her efficiency was impressive, and her attitude was exceptional. What touched us even more was that the next day, after we had already checked out, we returned in the evening to pick up our stored luggage. The same lady proactively asked if we had arranged a car to the airport. Knowing it was the day before ***** New Year, she understood that finding a taxi would be very difficult, so she went out of her way to help us, suggesting we check in online in advance, among other things. Following her advice, we immediately started looking for a taxi from the pickup point she indicated, and sure enough, we managed to get one and ultimately made our flight. When we were leaving, the bellboy was also incredibly helpful, carrying our heavy luggage and walking with us a short distance to the pickup point. There was also a small incident: we had to leave for a bit and left our child in the lobby. The lady, who had only been studying Chinese for three months, tried to chat with our child in Chinese and even gave him a box of sandwiches. It was such a thoughtful gesture. In short, even though our stay was brief, the staff we encountered were all incredibly genuine and warm-hearted, truly making us feel welcomed and cared for.

The best location if you want to shop, drink and eat in Hanoi. Near excellent restaurants and pubs, literally just downstairs. The staff are very friendly. They even taught me to rent a motorcycle to fully enjoy and explore hanoi with ease, no drivers license required (most of locals doesn't have one either 😅). Just ride at your own risk.

As many reviews mentioned, the owner was incredibly patient. They asked if we were driving or how we'd arrive, helped recommend a good room, and even pointed out that we could see the 'foreign country' (Vietnam) right across the way. It was really reassuring to find such a comfortable place to stay in this border town. We ended up on the third floor; the room was spacious with twin beds, and we had a direct view of Vietnam. We could even hear music from Vietnamese hotels at night.

Good hotel. Great stay. Good location. Very accommodating front desk. Spacious hotel room. Enjoyed our stay. Not baby stroller/ wheel chair friendly. Needs to take about 1 sets of about 15 stair steps to lobby and 2 sets of 4-5 stair steps to go to elevator. Narrow elevator and walk path.

The location is perfect as its close to all bars and restaurants. Tucked away alittle from all the noise of the main street, even with a little balcony and street front room the noise level was acceptable. Greeted at reception with a a genuine warm smile and a dog that wanted to play fetch was instant happiness for me. The room comfortable and perfect for a short or long stay. It's an older building and the rooms showing their age but all well kept, serviced & displayed. No lift so stairs to room with luggage is something to be mindful of when booking if it may effect you. A great stay and highly recommended as a solo traveler, couple or even friends and family in the larger dual bed rooms. Its Perfect 👌

Title: Great Staff and Bathroom, but Room Needs Maintenance I recently stayed at this property and had a mixed experience. The service and staff were excellent throughout the stay. The attendants were friendly and helpful, and the service overall was very good. The bathroom was also clean and in good condition, which I appreciated. However, the room itself was a bit disappointing and clearly needs some maintenance. There were exposed wires in the room, and the walls looked like they could really use a fresh coat of paint. There was also a noticeable strange smell that never really went away during the stay. The bed was quite firm, but it was still acceptable for sleeping. One thing that stood out was when we requested extra blankets, we were told to take them from a closet ourselves, and they didn’t seem particularly fresh. Another inconvenience was the lack of bedside lamps, which made the lighting in the room less comfortable at night. Overall, the staff and service were great, and the bathroom was good, but the room itself would benefit from repairs, better upkeep, and some updates to make the stay more comfortable.

Best place to stay in Hanoi. The location is reallllyyy perfect, in the middle of everything. Amenities were great. The front desk was so helpful with everything. You can exchange money or book tours with them. Definitely recommend!!
