No. 12 of 4-Star Select Hotels in Lanzhou"How should I put this? Maybe because it's a provincial capital, this hotel was the most expensive one on our trip to the Northwest. But honestly, the room was small – the kind where you can only open either the room door or the bathroom door at a time. And there was no light above the shower (just sharing the main bathroom ceiling light), so it was really dark. Although you need a key card to access the upper floors, someone still inexplicably knocked on our door (we later found out they had the wrong room). Getting around wasn't super convenient either; it's close to Zhengning Road Night Market, but you basically need a taxi to get to other attractions!"

"The room was clean and tidy, relatively quiet, and the facilities were quite new. It used to be an Ibis hotel, so it has that familiar style. The room was spacious, with a small sofa, cushions, and a small round table, perfect for working or eating. Housekeeping was prompt, service was enthusiastic, and the price was very reasonable. The location is right next to Lanzhou Station, with restaurants just outside, a bus stop, and it's also very close to the subway, which is super convenient."

The smart voice control for curtains and A/C was a great touch, and the WiFi was strong and fast. Plenty of charging outlets too. The front desk proactively offered welcome fruit and was super responsive to any requests. My stay was comfortable and worry-free!

"I stayed in a 4-person room. The room was minimalist and medium-small, with lockers – basic but comfortable. The common area is stylish and inviting, with plenty of seating, cozy corners, plants, kettles, and power outlets, though it’s on a high floor with a glass ceiling – warm when hot, cozy when cold, and the few fans aren’t always enough. The staff at the desk were friendly, laundry facilities available, though no snacks or cold drinks. The area is urban, among regular buildings, so not particularly attractive from the outside, but within walking distance to the museum and the metro station, with a large supermarket and several food options nearby. Overall, a decent place to stay in Lanzhou."
