"Amazing place for family or if you are a single traveler. Really nice place to relax and enjoy great views of Crete. The resort has many facilities to discover, excellent food choice and hotel service. OROS exceeded my expectations. Staff and guests themselves were super nice-great people to be around."

"It really got off to a bad start when I arrived late at night and couldn't get in to the room assigned to me. I had to call the night manager to help me get in and when he tried and failed, he then got the master key. We both enter the room only to find two people already sleeping in the bed.... great! So, I was at least given a different room with a nice view, but everything in this hotel is old and not maintained. The air conditioning is covered in dust and looks like it's never been serviced. The shower walls aren't properly sealed so water just goes all over the bathroom floor. Also, the bathroom fan was extremely loud. And the WORST part was that there was practically no hot water available. It would last for about 30 seconds and then turned cold and after about 3 minutes, would just stop altogether. What is the F*ING point of having a shower! Then, two days into my stay, I was woken up in the morning by a knock on the door. I assumed it was the housekeeping so I politely responded to go away. The knocking continued and I opened the door only to find the hotel manager himself standing there. He promptly told me that I had to vacate the room as there were other guests coming who had requested an ocean view. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? WHY WOULDN'T YOU TELL ME THIS BEFOREHAND? So, I was then forced to move rooms down the hall within about an hour. The absolute worst part about this was that there was zero apology from the manager or any of the staff. No one ever explained why my room was occupied in the first place and there was no offer of a discount or some kind of recompense for the inconvenience. Furthermore, the breakfast on offer was very poor. One hot plate and some meagre toast and fruit... not satisfactory or filling. Please avoid this hotel. It sucks."

Oros Luxury Beach Resort ★★★★
"We have just returned from a wonderful honeymoon at Oros resort! Rooms Our deluxe sea view room was beautiful, with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and a stunning view. The rooms were immaculately clean with daily housekeeping, and we were given 2 big bottles of water every day. A nice touch was a complimentary bottle of wine and bowl of fruit in there when we arrived. Having a fridge in the room was brilliant too. Room service (at a very reasonable price) is also available and teas and coffees are topped up daily – but have a limit. Pools The pools were fabulous. The main pool is 12+ only, and was really clean, peaceful and chilled. It would only be busy for maybe an hour of the day, and there were always sun loungers available. On one day some of the teenagers were a bit more rowdy, but that never happened again. One annoying thing however that I think needs addressing is that many people would come and reserve the loungers directly on the poolside early morning and then not use them for hours. We are early-risers so were the first at the pool every day, and it was frustrating to see people being so selfish, but there are no signs or anything saying guests shouldn’t do this. One family even reserved a big bed, decided it wasn’t comfortable enough so went to the beach instead, leaving all their stuff on it! I think the resort do need to take action on this, because while there were always loungers available, a group of 4 people came obviously wanting to be near each other, but all the empty beds were split up – yet there was only about a dozen people maximum actually at the pool. The view from the main pool is gorgeous and the design just feels so luxurious. I noted a previous review complained that the water wasn’t heated – but why you would want heated water in the summer in Greece I do not know! The water is noticeably warmer in the afternoons after the sun has heated it, but still lovely in the mornings. I would recommend going down between 8am and 9.30am as you’ll have the pool to yourselves! The pool bar service is also great – just scan the QR code to order drinks to where you’re sat. We didn’t order any snacks from the pool bar, because we felt the menu was a bit limited – it was either a pizza or a salad really. It would be nice to be able to order ice creams or fries or something like that. The children’s pool we only used when the Aqua-fit classes were on, and it has been well designed so you can’t hear any noise from it in the majority of the resort. Also clean and with a pool bar service and a great playground next to it. The classes were also good fun! The only downside was that the lifts and the corridors you use to access the pools are not 5 star standard and not cleaned thoroughly or regularly enough, and they do need addressing and upgrading significantly. Spa The pool and jacuzzi in the spa area were really under-used and just gorgeous! The spa area was so chilled and they have a good range of massages a"

Arcus Suites ★★★★
"My husband and I have different opinions. I loved it here, the breakfast was more than delicious, nice people! We were here at the end of October 2023 and stayed in the Ontis suite. This suite is very beautiful, but you first have to climb a staircase with high steps. So not suitable for older people or people with mobility problems. The house is very spacious, a bit dark but there is good lighting. The kitchen is good, with a nice refrigerator, microwave, sandwich maker, dishwasher, etc. only 1 big downside: there is a coffee machine from the 80s, no, then I say 'where is the modern Nespresso with capsules that every 5 star hotel has?' Nice welcome with sparkling wine, tea and filter coffee. We didn't use that old Krups coffee machine because we had no idea how to use it. A wonderful bath that makes bubbles. The bed is ok. We have not been in the swimming pool, which is a bit small. The village is small with a bar and a souvenir shop and a small supermarket. Further on there is a tavern, but it is more fun to take the car and eat in the “Springs area” with nice taverns and waterfalls. There is nothing to do in the evening, everything is deserted after 5:00 PM in October. No idea what it is like in high season. Take beautiful trips to the South where there are beautiful places to discover! Rethymnon is also nice!"

"we stayed at this hotel for 11 nights. it was a great experience. the hotel has an indoor pool and is located right next to the sea. the host is exceptional, she helped us with everything we needed, including the beach umbrella and information about renting cars. I had a room with a sea view, it is cleaned daily, the room is spacious and equipped with everything you need, including a small kitchen. the view from the balcony was very beautiful. breakfast is varied and the host supplements all the time, even if you wake up later (10:00 am) you have something to eat. we had a rented car and we managed very easily, but I saw that there are bus stations nearby."
