"We had a great stay at the City Hotel Rembrandt. It could not be easier to find, and is only 5 minutes walk from Leiden's main railway station. We arrived before 1200, but where about to check-in nevertheless as our room was already ready. It was a spotless and lovely room on the third floor, complete with balcony (though you did have to dodge the pigeons). Breakfast was in a very pleasant room on the ground floor. A fair selection, though not outstanding (the only warm food available was a boiled egg) and not the greatest value. But that's a small niggle. We had a lovely short stay and would certain stay here again."

"We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Leiden. The hotel is based in a couple of traditional character houses overlooking the canal. The first house holds the reception and breakfast room which are beautifully decorated. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by the host. Our room was in the attic of the next house which again had lots of character and everything you could wish for in a room. The air conditioning was especially appreciated given the heat outside. The stairs to the room were typical of old houses very steep and narrow so would suggest a ground floor room if you have any mobility issues. Leiden itself did not disappoint with its character and charming buildings, interesting museums and a great choice of eating and drinking options. Overall I would most definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful hotel if you’re visiting the city"

"The service attitude at the front desk is better. The attitude of the room service is very good. If it is an old building, it can be used, but it is relatively old. There are welcome biscuits and candies and hot water bottles. Generally speaking, the price is still very good."
