Hotels in Longji Terraced Field-Ping'An Zhuang Village, Longsheng

The location is good. From balconi can see the rice terrace and walk for 20min up to 九龙五虎观景点 Nine Dragon Five Tigers Scenic Viewpoint. The room is nice but ha no tea/caffe We asked for the show time at the Huangluo village but hotel did not give us any info. Saying that they don’t have any idea about the show. We asked for a ride to Huangluo Yao Village that is 10minutes ride and the guy in the reception charged us 70¥. After all, we need to know how to reach Guilin from the village but still the guy replied saying that we have to take a didi taxi. Hopefully, the people in the village are so friendly and helped me and my daughter to get the bus to Guilin for 80¥ only.

Mama and I had such a great experience here on our 3-day (2-night) trip to the 龙脊 rice terraces. Cannot recommend these guys enough! They were so friendly from the start and service was AMAZING.  We got quite lucky with our room. We were able to catch the sunrise every morning coming over the “back of the dragon”. Location was great too, being not too far from the 九龙五虎 and 七星半月 observation decks. Aside from the view, the place was clean with the usual amenities. Their home-cooked Guilin specialty meals also made for great dinner. Almost everything was home grown and locally sourced, and oh so tasty!  They were also great with our check-out and send-off, helping us organise a car/driver to our next stop (Yangshou) and a little farewell token that read “ 一生平安” which translates to “a lifetime of peace and safety”. We even picked up some of their monk fruit (羅漢果) and passion fruit (百香果) before we left! Thank you for making us feel so welcome 西窗月! Highly recommend booking with them! ☺️👌🏼

The location is great, just a seven or eight-minute walk from the Ping'anzhai observation deck. The scenery is absolutely stunning, surrounded by mountains. Opening the balcony door from your room feels like you're living in the clouds. We went during the off-season, so there weren't many people. The guesthouse has a traditional Chinese architectural style, all solid wood, and the materials used are very substantial. The only downside is that you have to park in a designated parking lot quite far from the hotel, pay a high parking fee, and then buy an electric cart ticket to get up there. You can clearly drive up yourself, which I found very confusing and inconvenient.

Our stay was really nice and we enjoyed the view, fresh air and nature. The service was also friendly and helpful. She was really patient with our translating and was so kind to book us a car to get us to our next destination. We will for sure remember her kindness. Further, we must recommend her dish: beef potatoes. It was sooo tasty and spiced like Chinese-Western cuisine. Important: Our arrival was quite a journey booking a driver to drive us from Guilin to Longji. You must know that it is far away and you can’t drive to the hotel, only to the entry of the Longji Scenic area. There you have to buy tickets for the area if you did not book it in advance. There are some discounts for specific people, just translate the sign with the prices. After paying the entry ticket, you should buy a ticket for the sightseeing bus to take you up to your hotel. It is really a long way - wouldn’t recommend walking uphill to the hotel. The bus ticket also includes a return from your hotel back to the entry. Overall, recommending visiting the area and staying at the hotel.

What a splendid stay! Jason, his wife and the rest of the hotel staff are lovely. This is a family run boutique hotel, impeccably maintained, with excellent service and a convenient location near the Ping’an parking lot and about 10 minutes below Ping’an new town. The main sites of Seven Stars with Moon and Nine Dragons and Five Tigers are a leisurely 2 hour combined round-trip hike. We had a 3rd floor room with a wonderful view of the mountains and lower rice fields, and the peaceful sound of the nearby waterfall. The restaurant is also excellent, serving the local delicacies like bamboo chicken. A bonus is Jason’s perfect English. I highly recommend Baike hotel. Thank you!

This is hands down the best homestay I've ever experienced! The hosts (the owner and his wife) are incredibly kind and welcoming. My suitcase had become exceptionally heavy after several days of travel and shopping. Without a moment's hesitation, even in the pouring rain, the owner single-handedly carried it up multiple flights of stairs. I was deeply touched by his incredible effort; it was genuinely hard work. Dinner was a heartwarming experience, shared with their entire family, and their children were absolutely adorable. The hosts are genuine, hardworking individuals from an ethnic minority group, dedicated to running their homestay with integrity and care. No matter what needs or concerns arose during my stay, the hosts enthusiastically went above and beyond to assist, genuinely caring for every guest. This is something I experienced firsthand. Finding such a wonderful place and meeting such kind-hearted people is truly a lucky and heartwarming part of any journey. This review reflects my honest opinion; if you're reading it, you can book this place without a second thought. The scenery, needless to say, is absolutely stunning, and the location is equally superb. So, when comparing similar value for money, I chose an environment that offered more warmth and positive energy. Encountering such fortunate and heartwarming people and experiences during a tiring journey truly re-energizes us, empowering us to face life with renewed strength and diligence. I believe this is precisely the meaning of why we embark on journeys! I am just an ordinary traveler, and I wrote this review purely out of gratitude for the profound kindness and genuine sincerity I encountered. I generally rarely write reviews. I've even specially included a photo with the host family, hoping everyone will support their business. There haven't been many tourists lately, but my experience was absolutely phenomenal.

It's a bit far from the foot of the mountain, but the owner's family helped carry my luggage, which was a lifesaver because I definitely couldn't have managed it alone. The room was super spacious and incredibly comfortable; I had a fantastic one-night stay! The whole family was wonderful. When I ordered food, the grandma even poured me a cup of her homemade rice wine, which was delicious! The next day, the owner also helped arrange a shared ride for me. The only thing to be aware of is that there are a lot of bugs in the mountains! They'll fly in if you leave the balcony light on, so don't open the balcony door casually at night~

We loved our stay here. Extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming host. Helped us organise shared transport to the hotel from Guilin West Railway Station for 80 yuan each. We hiked from Ping’an to Dazhai and she organised our collection in Dazhai and subsequent transport to Guilin, including luggage transfer. This also cost 80 yuan each but the price depends on the season. Clean, spacious rooms and the free fresh fruit was a nice touch. The host is also a great chef and made us both dinner and breakfast, the latter costing 18 yuan for two. Great location within Ping’an, halfway between the two famous Ping’an viewpoints - you can walk to one (about 20 minutes) then follow a mountain trail to the other (40 minutes between the two). Based on our hike to Dazhai, staying in Ping’an felt like the right decision as it seemed a little quieter and more authentic to us.

The hotel offers great views, and the facilities are excellent. The room was very spacious, and we could enjoy the stunning terraced fields right from our balcony. The location is also good, situated between two viewpoints. The hotel provides a shuttle service from the parking lot, as cars can't directly access the hotel. Be aware that you'll still need to climb some stairs, so it might not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Additionally, you'll need to pay 10 RMB for someone to carry your luggage to the hotel. On the day we arrived, there were many guests, so service was a bit delayed, but other than that, everything else was quite good.

The owners were very welcoming, and the guesthouse was very nice and clean. The food was especially delicious; after traveling for so many days, it was the best I'd had such a wonderful local chicken soup. We caught a lot of paddy field fish, and the owner helped us clean and fry them – they were delicious! He even packed up the leftovers and put them in the refrigerator so we could take them home the next day. The complimentary rice wine was also very good; the owner said it was homemade by his mother. It was really great! If I have the chance and time, I'd definitely stay here for a few more days.
