"Well located near to the station. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. A good breakfast with excellent coffee. The rooms are clean and comfortable but would benefit from tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. We left at 07:00 and staff out on an early breakfast for us… thank you"

"This year for Easter, my friends and I decided to stop at Relais Villa Porta in Luino. We were amazed to find a unique gem on the eastern side of Lago Maggiore. We arrived at around 3 pm and although the place was buzzing with guests, the Villa had many private areas (it spans 200 metres directly on the shore) from the bar, to the beach area, to the main restaurant, and other terraces, where one could enjoy a festive meal. The staff were super helpful with advice related to local produce and preparations on the menu and our host even suggested that we hire one of their boats for a short cruise of the lake! Unfortunately our stay would not allow us to indulge in many of the resort's delights, but we did enjoy each other's company in front of a jaw-dropping view, facing the sunset! In the words of the great General "we shall return"!!!"

"Beautiful location and fabulous jacuzzi and sauna with lake views. Breakfast was good. A few niggles brought my review score down. No water in room. There is a nespresso machine in room but charge €2 to use it. No tea provided or coffee free of charge in a 4* hotel? When using sauna/jacuzzi we had to walk in swimsuits ( no change facility) using our room towel and walked back with wet feet - think about putting robes and slippers in room perhaps. When checking out I was told we could have phoned and asked for towels but this wasn’t shared at check-in and we weren’t the only ones as others were walking back wet and without a robe/slippers. In all, a good stay that could have been improved with a few simple tweaks."
