Novotel Barossa Valley Resort ★★★★
"The room facilities are a bit old, the front desk service is good"
Barossa Shiraz Estate ★★★★
"Amazing experience staying at the Barn cottage. Very comfortable and clean, lovely welcome pack which included enough goods for breakfast and also a bottle of lovely wine. We loved sitting upstairs on the balcony looking out to the fabulous views, was so relaxing. Wineries on your doorstep. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
The Lyndoch Motel Formerly Lyndoch Hill ★★★
"We booked our stay for one night during long weekend and ended up leaving the room and booking somewhere else. It’s nothing like what you see in pics. Rooms and old and run down. There were cracks in the wall where old aircon was and big flies were coming in from that. We were told that restaurant was closed because there were no staff available due to long weekend. We tried to raise this with trip.com and we’re offered $15 worth of credit but refund. Will never recommend booking this place"
The Residence at Barossa Chateau ★★★★★
"Staying one night to experience Barossa Chateau is a good experience. It is next to the vineyard. The owner, Ms. Mandy, is a collector. The first floor displays her personal collection, including 18th-century porcelain and watercolor paintings. The second floor, which also houses the collection, has a living room, dining room and master bedroom, and serves as guest accommodation space. For breakfast Ms. Mandy will prepare the food and make her own breakfast. There is an Italian restaurant 3 minutes’ walk from the hotel, which is a good place to dine during our stay that night. Ms. Mandy has a rose garden that she is proud of. The blooming season is at its peak in the second week of October. She said there are 30,000 roses of different varieties from all over the world in full bloom. When the garden opened in 2002, Queen Elizabeth of England came here specially to cut the ribbon to open the garden."
Kingsford the Barossa ★★★★
"The accommodations are magnificent and the service outstanding. It’s strange there aren’t any reviews for this place since 2024, so here goes. We stayed in room 2 which is their superior homestead suite for two nights. The signature suite, room 1, was booked out for our dates, but they have view suites as part of a new development. We weren’t interested as we’d read positive reviews about the homestead’s character, though those comments seem to focus on the McLeods daughters connection, which we’ve never watched. Room 2 is spacious and cleverly uses mirrors, especially in the walk-in closet. The fit and finish of the room is first-class. The bathroom is huge and well-appointed, featuring a fantastic bath and a shower with multiple options. The bed is large and very comfortable. However, there’s no view in this room and despite its size, there’s no couch or lounge. There’s a small round table and two chairs, which aren’t ideal for lounging or sitting for long. You’ll need to go outside for that. As with any old two-storey house like this, you’ll hear the people above you and, if you’re unlucky, you might get what seems like endless stomping around above you. That was the case for us, but it’s mostly just the luck of the draw. Given that and the lack of a view, I wonder if the upstairs homestead rooms are a better option, even though the highest-priced rooms are downstairs. The real draw is the dining and breakfast area (see photo). It’s cleverly designed with floor-to-ceiling glass that offers a breathtaking view of the countryside. You might spot kangaroos at dinner and breakfast, and we even saw two rabbits chasing each other – quite entertaining. There are also many different birds. The dining and breakfast food (known as the Orleana Restaurant for dinner) is the subject of a separate review. The area and outlook are magnificent. The onsite service at Kingsford is exceptional. Martin in particular and Kasey at Orleana were fantastic. Another gentleman offered to mix drinks multiple times but I didn’t catch his name. He was also great, as was the lady from the Grampians area. We didn’t get her name either but she was fantastic. While there aren’t many activities at Kingsford, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. However, it does impact other aspects of the stay. For example, if your room doesn’t have a good view or a comfortable lounging area, you’re forced to leave the room. There are two sets of large lounges near Orleana, which I’d call a bar area. We visited them a few times to relax and organise photos, but the bar was always noisy and not conducive to our needs. We did get to look at the view suites out of curiosity and they’re a much better option for us. They’re modern (which is fine with us) and share the same view as the Orleana dining area with floor-to-ceiling glass. They also have a spacious wrap-around lounge where you can each comfortably relax for hours. The best two are the corner suites, which offer a wider view and e"
Le Mas Barossa ★★★★★
"This is our second time staying at Le Mas, and just like the first stay - it did not disappoint! The staff are all so kind, helpful and accommodating, they made our stay so breezy! The grounds are stunning, and their chefs dinner with Ryan Edwards in their restaurant was to die for!! We will be be back again!"
Barossa Country Cottages ★★★★
"Stayed here for 2 nights. The cottage was clean, with everything you could want for a short stay. The bed is comfortable, There is a small but well equipped kitchen, with a comfortable lounge area. WiFi is free and reliable. The setting is quite, with a lovely verandah to sit and enjoy a drink after a day of visiting the wineries. Bridie, the on-site care taker is incredibly helpful and friendly, but respects your privacy. I would be happy to stay here again when visiting this lovely part of our wonderful country."
Barossa Pavilions & Glasshouse ★★★★
"We have just had our 4th stay here celebrating my wife’s birthday. We love coming here for the peace and serenity with the pavilion having uninterrupted views of the Barossa Valley. We just love sitting on the balcony drinking red wine and port and enjoying the quiet. The pavilion is well appointed with a spa, again overlooking the valley, kitchen with plentiful breakfast supplies and close to wineries, pubs and restaurants."
Jasmine's Cottage ★★★★★
"Amazing lovely Year 1880 cottage and beautiful garden with modern facilities and warm service. Definitely will go back."
