"We spent a week in this paradise, it was amazing. Marco and Francesca were great hosts, we felt great in their perfectly designed, built and maintained resort. We really appreciate the dinners with them on the last day of the year, it was like we were family :-) It was great that they recommended a number of activities for us (snorkeling, swimming with whale sharks, visiting the village on the island and more) and organized transportation. Everything went exactly as we agreed, and in the evening we always talked informally about how our day had been, what we have planned for the next few days and we also talked about other topics - how life is going :-) The cuisine in the resort and the service were impeccable, the willingness of the staff and the amazing aesthetic and taste experience with each meal were additional bonuses of this stay. "This place just kind of sticks with you. When you arrive, Mr. Meremeta is waiting for you at the airport. And you drive across the beautiful green island with him and turn into a property that looks like a decade of work growing out the flowers to surround each cottage. The lodge is on the edge of the marine park. A bicycle's ride (which he provides and has waiting for you every morning) to the beach. The cottages are smartly engineered. They have a great ceiling fan, good AC, nice showers, layers of thoughtful things like drying racks and shelves, etc. There is a large open restaurant with ample spots for tea and a read in between activities. And again, super interesting engineering. A constant breeze keeps the bugs well at bay. Breakfast is fresh fruit and scratch pastry (and eggs made to order). Dinner is a set menu that rotates every evening. Also, if you choose, Mr. Meremeta can arrange excursions. Most he has his own guide for (who is excellent). For the specialty ones, he will instantly message and help you make arrangements. Didn't expect such an easy experience."
