"Overall summary: Incredible value for money, highly recommended! Location: Facing the Indian Ocean, the lobby, breakfast room, guest rooms, rooftop bar, and swimming pool all offer unobstructed, direct ocean views. The train station right opposite the hotel is one stop before Colombo Fort Station. Express trains don't stop here, so you'll need to take a quick, inexpensive taxi from the main station, but it's a very short ride. If you love photographing trains and the ocean, you can capture great shots right from the hotel. Room & Amenities: The room facilities are decent. The bathroom faces the Indian Ocean directly, and there are USB ports by the bed, so no adapter is needed for the power outlets. Dining: The breakfast spread is very generous. If you have time, I recommend setting aside an hour to leisurely enjoy your breakfast while looking out at the Indian Ocean. Surroundings: There is a famous local ice cream shop just a 3-minute walk behind the hotel. It's also a very short taxi ride to One Galle Face Mall."

"The location is very central and convinient. I started and ended my trip in this hostel. You can eat for cheaper price in nearby local restaurants. It’s very near to crntral bus stand and railway station. The rooms are spacious with big lockers. Separate washrooms for male and female. There is also a small kitchen. The onsite coffee shop is actually cheaper yet very good coffee. Overall good experience!"

It's a 5-minute drive from the airport and a 15-minute walk from the train station. Taking the train to Colombo Fort is convenient for a day trip; a one-way ticket costs 80 LKR. Trains are crowded in the morning, so you might have to stand, but the return trip in the afternoon is less crowded."
