Beach on Sixth ★★★★

📍 65 Sixth Avenue, Maroochydore

"Our stay in the top-floor penthouse at Beach on Sixth was truly unforgettable. Perched on level 12, the apartment offered panoramic ocean views from every angle, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a sprawling balcony perfect for sunrise coffees. The space was luxuriously appointed with a full kitchen, generous living areas, and all the comforts of home. Just steps from Cotton Tree’s cafés, shops, and Maroochydore Beach, the location was unbeatable. A stunning penthouse stay that felt like pure coastal indulgence."

The Sebel Maroochydore ★★★★

📍 20 Aerodrome Rd, Maroochydore

"A warning. My wife booked a family holiday at the Sebel in Maroochydore many months ago, realising Xmas is a peak period. We have family in Maroochydore. We paid a deposit and we were excited about our holiday. Today we received a call from Sabbina the receptionist at the Sebel informing us, 6 weeks from the busiest peak time, that the Sebel was undergoing major renovations work over Xmas and they would try and keep the noise to a minimum. Also the swimming pool would be closed during the renovations. No offer of a discount. My wife was surprised and asked why they would undertake a major renovation during peak times. My wife asked to speak to a supervisor, Sobbina (poor girl) broke down in tears, she must be getting some upset customers when she tells them of the disruptions the holiday makers would be facing. We feel for her, not her fault. The supervisor Liani spoke with my wife telling her that they could offer a refund or they could try and find alternative accommodation for us, which they did unfortunately it was at the back of the shopping centre with not beach views, not sure if it had access to a pool, same price again no discount offered. Anyway we contacted our travel agent who has booked us into a lovely apartment at the Breeze. We were so lucky got get it , it was a recent cancellation. I cannot believe the Sebel was unaware that major renovations were being undertaken with only 6 weeks notice. Very poor. They can't expect to charge visitors the same money without the benefits of peace and quiet and a swimming pool in December. Just wanted to warn others who maybe intending on staying there over Xmas 24."

"The room is very good, and the kitchen facilities are very complete and useful, including a range hood and a dishwasher. Right on the edge of the Maroochy River, a great place for walking and leisure, a 10-minute drive from the city center. Very convenient. After traveling for several days, I can finally make delicious meals that I want to eat. 😀"

The Sebel Maroochydore ★★★★
"From the very first phone converstaion to the actual initial check in procedure. The receptionist on duty was extremely rude. Unfortunately, her lack of customer service has left a very bad taste and poor first impression. The building has 106 rooms , yet inly 20 are availble for the hotel guests. The facilities are far from the so called 4.5 star rating. There are no restaurants, no gym and other amenities which would support such rating. Overall the location is very deceiving and the extremely outdated rooms, foyer and overall building justify our review. We are extremely saddened to spend our holiday money and time on this facility. We welcome any management to contact me to discuss."

"I enjoyed my short stay at the apartment. The accommodation was great, with the view of Maroochy river. The rooms were pretty decent as well. And the best part is that the host Craig was very helpful. He even helped me in whatever way I needed even after hours. Thank you Craig for all your help you had given me."
