The location is unbeatable—right on the beach, with every room offering a breathtaking sea view. The included breakfast was a highlight, featuring a wide variety of delicious options to suit every taste. This hotel is perfect for families and friends, and we’re already planning our return. The general manager even mentioned the possibility of renting the entire property for our next family retreat—a fantastic idea! "We are happy to add another positive review to this lovely relaxing hotel right on the beach and with sunrise and moon-rise views (a red moon showed up two nights during our stay). Maya Beach is a 25-minute drive north of the more touristy Placencia town but tour companies will collect you for no extra charge. Our room was compact, with amenities to add comfort, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are kayaks to take out and kid guests seemed thrilled by the pool and sea. We saw shore birds and one early morning 40 floating pelicans!"

"We had the most incredible weekend at Kalimara. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this resort takes its eco-conscious values seriously without sacrificing an ounce of luxury or comfort. The property itself is stunning every corner felt intentional and beautiful. Food and drinks were a huge highlight. The quesadillas were some of the best we’ve had, and the fresh juices every morning were the perfect start to the day. Huge shoutout to Elvis behind the bar, who took incredible care of us all weekend and made every drink feel like an event. The rooms were gorgeous, the amenities were plentiful, and the staff across the board were warm, attentive, and clearly proud of where they work. We left already planning our next trip back. Can’t recommend Kalimara enough!"
