"I’ve just returned from a week’s stay at Der Siegeler with my family over New Year. Our accommodation was large, modern and extremely clean. Der Siegeler had the ski bus stop directly outside and was also a walkable distance to the main street. We took breakfast every morning in our accommodation which was as we expected. We ate out at many restaurants with our favourite being El Toro, Edelweiss, Postwirt, Perauer and Goldkind. We did enjoy a drink below our accommodation at Mikes Sport bar and the staff were extremely friendly, although we did find the bar rather busy with sport screens in every viewpoint (which we should have expected). A fantastic holiday however not as chilled in the evening as we would have liked."

"My husband and I visited this hotel in 2018 when (as I recall) it was officially five-star. We left with mixed feelings, and he wasn’t keen to return. So I came alone this year, and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. My sense is that the hotel now knows exactly what it is and has relaxed into catering for its clientele. I come to Mayrhofen to hike all day every day, so the three most important qualities in a hotel are food, sleep quality and the general warmth of the staff. If there is a decent swimming pool - and there is here - so much the better. I remember the Elizabeth’s food being consistently superb in 2018, and this year it was even better (a new chef and supporting team, I was told). Every dinner menu was inventive, with beautifully presented dishes which tasted wonderful. Moreover the restaurant experience was much, much better. In 2018 we found the superintending waitress quite controlling (in particular, not willing to pour our wine as fast as we wanted to drink it!). This year, although individual wine bottles were still (irritatingly) held centrally rather than left at guest tables, the wine waiter was responsive to guest wishes. And the wine was excellent and sensibly priced. As to sleep, I was allocated a spacious room - it must have been double, rather than the single I was expecting - which could not have been more comfortable, well laid out or quiet. I slept extremely well. And finally the hotel staff were just lovely. I think there may have been more staff than in 2018, so everything felt more relaxed. The Reception team were particularly helpful when I realised that my digital public transport pass (paid for and downloaded in the U.K.) was actually not going to work reliably in the mountains. We managed to convert it into a paper pass which functioned just fine. As an aside, the Zillertal Activcards (covering local cable cars, buses and trains), which we have bought in every previous visit to Mayrhofen, are now eyewateringly expensive. I saved a lot of money by buying the weekly travel passes and then paying for individual cable car ascents. So overall, I found this a wonderful hotel, very welcoming to me as a solo traveller, and I have now booked again for summer 2026."

"Check in was fast and the breakfast was good but they could do with some more variety during breakfast. It was a 10 minute walk to the ski lifts and the ski storage was easily accessible at the end of the day. The bathroom was well kept and cleaned daily. The bedroom was also cleaned daily. The floor in our room were quite noisy but other than that the room was good. The radiator was working very well"

"The hotel has a great location, every room is very clean, it's convenient to get around, the windows offer mountain views, and shopping is easy to find nearby. If I were to travel, I would definitely choose this hotel as my first choice."

"The new building with the spa area is really beautiful... because it's very spacious, guests are spread out well, so it's pleasantly quiet everywhere... The food looks very good, but the taste is average. The service is really hit and miss. On the first day, a very friendly and attentive waitress, but on the second day, unfortunately, the complete opposite. The rooms are okay; the older part is quite dated, but clean."

"While biking through Mayrhof Austria we got caught in the rain yet again and stopped at this restaurant for lunch. Had a dry area to put the bikes. Wonderful service from a friendly waiter who spoke good English. Very nice man. We all ate lunch and it was very good. Spent about two hours there eating and drinking wine and beer. The Austria beer is not to my taste but I tried it. Ordered wine later. The wine was very good. Two of us had ice cream deserts that were excellent. Definitely recommend this restaurant."

"We had a fantastic holiday in Mayrhofen courtesy of the Gluck auf. The suite exceeded our expectations being modern, in great condition, and perfectly equipped. The view from the balcony was amazing. The hotel itself is in a great location on the edge of town which is just a short walk away. There's plenty of inclusive parking. We were greeted by Monika who is a lovely lady and was so helpful. Highly recommended!"

"Exceptional experience as always. It was our 3rd time here and again the whole stay was delightful and without a single issue. The room, food, and staff's hospitality were all extraordinary. We especially enjoyed the sauna sessions with Markus. We're looking forward to coming again the next season."
