"My trip to Mudgee last week was a nostalgic one. To stay at this beautiful hotel was on my bucket list, as it was once owned by my great aunts, Florence and Alice Lonergan and run as a guesthouse. Even though I had made a number of trips to Mudgee, I had never been inside. It was lovely to see that the old-world character had been kept in the rooms along with beautiful modern bathrooms. I stayed in room 2 and was able to go out on the old verandah with views of Robertson Park and overlooking the lovely cafe. Hannah was extremely friendly and helpful as I enquired about previous history of the building."

Can recommend Isabel’s Italian restaurant too - really great food and service."

"Historic building just one block away from Woolies and probably two blocks from the centre of everything. They had some cancellations so offered us our choice of upgrades. Very nice! Simple continental breakfast bags left in the room plus snacks etc. mini bar at bottle shop prices. The Paragon pub across the street does good meals. Handy parking. Well worth a visit. Thanks very much."

"What a fabulous find! We stayed along with another couple for 3 nights, both of us staying in King Suites (1 and 2 - we stayed in 1) upstairs that opened onto the large verandah overlooking Robertson Park. The decor in both suites was spot on for the building. Bathrooms were beautiful. King beds were just what was needed at the end of each very big day of events. There is a great little cafe downstairs that does a great coffee and fab breakfast. The locals frequent this cafe also, which goes to show its a goodie. We ate our breakfast each morning on the verandah upstairs in the sunshine. Parking is on site. On my initial phone call about 10 months prior was with the lovely Hannah. This woman is as wonderful over the phone as she was in person. Nothing was too much trouble. I rang Hannah quite a few times prior to our arrival and she was amazing! Genuine country hospitality and friendliness was in abundance not only from Hannah but from her parents who are really lovely as well. This was a great stay from beginning to end. What's not to love about The Parkview Hotel!!!!!! Can't wait to return!"

"Was lucky enough to find a cabin for the long weekend, however, our stay was marred by the park's poor amenities. Even though it had a decent pool, a few things were either out of order (like one of the 3 bbqs and the sauna) or falling apart (the pool table needs to be seriously replaced). Overall, the park needs a good refresh. The cabin was small (shower is tiny!!) and barely comfortable, but it's really outdated. There's still an old type clock radio next to the bed. Also, the walls were paper thin and i could hear my kid's moving around during the night. If you're coming, make sure you bring your ear plugs. At the end of the day I suppose you get what you pay for. Had stayed at the Gulgong tourist park during Easter in one of their modern larger cabins and would probably go back there in the future for the same price. Sorry, won't be back until this place has been brought into this century."
