"Just a great base. 15 minutes from Airport, 15 minutes from Port Denarau and 10 minutes to Apia town. Very good messaging from Kate on getting there and advice on where to go. Bryan who is the ‘at property’ support was lovely. Gave me some of his dinner (braised short rib, yummy). Two supermarkets within walking distance and both just happened to have lovely restaurants. Namaste beside New World has terrific and huge naan breads. My stay was great - snorkelled with sharks, went to Malamala Island and Natadola Beach (45 minutes drive). Did a couple of cultural things - temple, mud pool, springs, kava ceremony, etc."

"This hotel is very basic and only suitable for an overnight stopover. The room was functional but lacked the comfort, amenities, and overall quality I normally expect from the Mercure brand. Breakfast was simple with limited choices and nothing particularly memorable. Overall, this was the most disappointing Mercure hotel I have stayed at. It may be acceptable for a short one-night stay, but I would not choose to stay here again."

"This place was great. I stayed twice, once at the start of the trip and once at the end. The staff were helpful and full of knowledge to help you out. The rooms were clean and spacious. I had no problem with the data service but I had a plan and didn't use the wifi so can't really comment on that. The pool was clean. The location was great, close to the airport, and had plenty of restaurants in the area. "

"Contact the airport staff to call upon their sugar taxi which provide transfer to the airport to and from The staff is friendly, bed is comfortable, location is just next to airport., the pool is cool. "Nalagi Hotel is a 4-star hotel that offers great value for money. I had a very satisfying stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there's a Chinese restaurant next door. Plus, a McDonald's 🍔, a large supermarket, and a Western fast-food restaurant are all nearby, which is very convenient. The room came equipped with a hairdryer, shower cap, soap, shower gel, conditioner, refrigerator, and tissues. You'll need to bring your own slippers and toothbrush/toothpaste (which is pretty standard for most hotels anyway)."

We stayed twice at the hotel, 1st stay we had a quite room, no complains, 2nd time we did not sleep, extremely loud Airconditioning unit outside of our window 🤨. Food in the restaurant not great! "I was a bit hesitant to book here after reading some negative reviews, but the location turned out to be the most important factor for me. And I certainly didn't regret it! I had two wonderful nights in a spacious room with a balcony, which allowed me to truly relax. The room had a kettle, a fridge, an excellent bed, and the pool was spotless. Cafes, restaurants, and shops are all within walking distance. Just be prepared for no internet access and make sure to get a local SIM card in advance."

"The location is super convenient, really close to the main road. There's a mall, Burger King, and a mini-mart nearby. You can catch a $1 bus to the town center from here, or a taxi for about $5. It's a bit of a distance from the beach, also about a $5 taxi ride. For day trips like the dolphin tour and cultural village, they offer pick-up and drop-off right at the door. For other day tours, the pick-up point is just a 4-minute walk from the apartment, which is also very close to the hotel. The room itself is very clean and tidy, and having a washer and dryer is incredibly handy. The owners are a lovely couple."

"No major issues with the stay, and the staff were genuinely lovely and helpful. However, the hotel itself has clearly seen better days, and the aging infrastructure is starting to show. What was most disappointing is that the small details that usually make Mercure a reliable, universal brand were consistently letting us down. For example: Pillows were clean but desperately need replacing — one was purely decorative, and the other was so hard it could have doubled as a car jack. Door handle and its protective plate were loose. Broken light bulbs in both the corridor and the room. Towel rack barely hanging on. Fresh paint stains visible everywhere, including on furniture. Anti-slip mats in common areas (especially the breakfast area) were dirty. Hedges around the pool were untrimmed. Small rubbish and paper left around the pool garden and not cleaned up. Room service trays left in the corridor for over 12 hours. Arrival porch not properly cleaned. Individually these are minor issues, but together they create a strong negative impression. The hotel is showing its age, and it feels like management isn’t doing regular checks to maintain the expected standard. Small things matter — and unfortunately, they added up."
