The experience of staying in this whole season was great! As soon as you enter the lobby, you can smell a faint tea fragrance, and the environment is elegant, which makes people relax instantly. The room has maintained the simple Chinese style of the whole season, clean and tidy, and the bedding is very comfortable. For people on business trips, it is too important to have a good night's sleep. In particular, I want to praise the staff at the front desk. Check-in and check-out are very efficient and friendly. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes very good. Next time I come here for a business trip, the whole season is still my first choice!

1. The main advantage of the hillside rooms is the private hot spring. Other facilities, however, are quite a step down from the main Junlan building. The amenities are pretty old, and the bathroom design is poorly thought out—no mirror above the sink and no hooks or racks for towels. It fell short of my expectations. 2. The hotel lacks a kids' club, and the outdoor facilities aren't designed with families in mind, making it unsuitable for guests with children. Plus, the outdoor farm and other areas are really old, run-down, and poorly maintained. 3. Breakfast was just average, nothing special. 4. There was no butler service, and everything was just standard. They even asked for a good review, but honestly, I didn't experience any exceptional service. 5. Overall, the experience was quite mediocre. Especially the first few hillside rooms, which lack a balcony and a sofa, are very small and offer poor value for money.

The front desk staff were fantastic, super friendly and gentle. They had all the little essentials like chargers and sewing kits readily available. Breakfast was delicious too! The hotel is really close to Dongqian Lake and Ningbo Wild Animal Park, and the hotel itself is very comfortable. Definitely recommend it! The street right next door is incredibly photogenic – perfect for taking some amazing pictures!

Highly recommend Luyuan Canghu B&B in Dongqian Lake! My stay here far exceeded expectations; I could have happily spent the entire day at the hotel without wanting to leave! What impressed me most was the consistently thoughtful and attentive service throughout. The front desk staff were gentle and patient, making the check-in process efficient and seamless. Any request was handled quickly. The hotel manager was humble and meticulous, considering every detail for the guests, truly going above and beyond with the service – my impression was excellent. Taking advantage of the afternoon tea was incredibly convenient; the pastries were exquisite and delicious. I also ordered a coffee and slowly enjoyed it in the lakeside viewing area, with a gentle breeze from the lake creating a perfect ambiance. The B&B’s environment is quiet and elegant, with the courtyard beautifully complementing the direct lake view. There's no need to rush out and visit attractions; simply relaxing and unwinding here is incredibly therapeutic. Whether it's the service, environment, or leisure facilities, everything was impeccable. It's definitely on my list for a second visit. For anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Dongqian Lake, this is a definite go-to!

My overall stay was quite pleasant, despite a bumpy start. Thankfully, the Howard Johnson Dongqian Lake's service was satisfactory, especially Manager Lou. She was dedicated, empathetic, and provided thoughtful, prompt service, demonstrating excellent hotel management qualities! I was traveling with my parents during a cold snap, and our original room was chilly. Manager Lou quickly arranged a room change to a different floor. We also encountered an unexpected power outage in parts of the Dongqian Lake resort area, which caused some inconvenience. However, Manager Lou and her team handled the emergency promptly and thoughtfully, taking care of my elderly parents. Her attitude and professionalism were commendable, and the other staff members also did a great job with the details. It's worth mentioning that the hotel offers cultural and entertainment experiences like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), Song Dynasty tea ceremony, and deer park fun, which effectively enriched our holiday. These activities are suitable for both seniors and children. The location is also great: near Hanling Old Street in Dongqian Lake, about a ten-minute walk, and convenient for reaching other attractions. I hope the hotel continues to improve, with timely updates to some of the facilities. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

The hotel boasts an excellent location near Dongqian Lake, very close to Xiaoputuo on the lake and Hanling Old Street. The hotel facilities are also quite good; it's a very comfortable hotel. The lovely young lady at the front desk was exceptionally kind, patient, and attentive, speaking softly and calmly – a pleasant sight and sound. The hotel breakfast was also excellent, nutritious, and varied, offering both Chinese and Western options. I felt a pang of reluctance to leave. Highly recommended; I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Ningbo.

The hotel's interior is beautiful, perfect for photos on a sunny day. The in-room amenities are high-end, like a Dyson hairdryer and LELABO skincare products. The bed was also very comfortable. We stayed in a newly renovated room with a large terrace overlooking the inner courtyard. The travel photographer and butler both requested a positive review, so I'm giving five stars, but I still want to provide an objective assessment. I believe the core issue with the hotel's many negative reviews lies in the details. For example, there were only facial tissues available at the vanity, which was quite inconvenient. The TV couldn't cast, and the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan. When I requested two bath sachets, only one was provided (though they did send another when asked). At the restaurant, when I was packing a breakfast to go, one staff member offered me cutlery and perhaps an extra napkin. Another staff member immediately interjected, saying ”just a pair of chopsticks is fine, no need for these.” I felt really awkward being there. The service is good, but you consistently get a subtle feeling of pettiness. While it's good for staff to be economical, they should also consider the guests' experience. I hope this objective review helps future guests and encourages the hotel to improve its details for a more comfortable stay.

The hotel is located on the bank of Dongqian Lake, with beautiful scenery. The underground parking lot of the hotel is not open to the public, and can only park employees' vehicles, which is inconvenient on rainy days. The central air conditioning is not turned on, and the room is stuffy. The waiter brought an electric fan, but the fan was too dirty and dared not use it. There were only 4 tables of guests in the restaurant during dinner. 3 dishes were served first, and an hour later they said that the remaining dishes were gone, which affected the mood of the meal.

I visited last year and was very satisfied, but my experience this year was just so-so. I'm not sure if they're cutting costs and increasing efficiency, but they seem to be skimping on the air conditioning. The lobby wasn't cool at all; I was actually sweating while checking in. The corridor leading from the lobby to the guest room buildings had almost no AC, and it was very hot. The elevator also lacked AC and was sweltering. The windows in the guest floor hallway were closed tight with no AC, and there was a strong musty smell. The room itself had a musty smell upon entering. If you try to open the balcony door for ventilation, the AC stops working. I'm not sure if they used too much disinfectant on the bed linens, but my skin felt very itchy while sleeping, to the point of waking me up in the middle of the night. The hotel's pest control is also inadequate; I still got many mosquito bites even after applying repellent. Plus, the toilet paper in the room was paper-thin. The overhead shower needs fixing; the water sprayed everywhere. They've cut costs so much that there are only two bottles of mineral water in the room. There was only one pack of tissues, so after washing my hands in the bathroom, I had to go to the room to get paper, which was ridiculous. The only things that haven't declined are the service at the Chinese restaurant and the staff at the go-kart area.
