Hotels in Taihu Yuantouzhu/Liyuan Scenic Area, Wuxi

I've never been keen on writing reviews before, but my first Ctrip review goes to this hotel. Its location is excellent, right next to Liyuan Garden and just a few minutes' walk from the Taihu Star Ferris Wheel amusement park. I stayed for two nights, and the service was incredibly thoughtful. They proactively upgraded my room and allowed a late check-out until 2 PM. The room's facilities were top-notch, making for a very comfortable stay. The environment was clean and tidy. I had dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant and ordered breakfast to my room in the mornings; both the dishes and flavors were fantastic. The chef seems quite renowned. The restaurant also sells tea, and I bought four boxes of Cuizhu and two bags of Biluochun. The tea quality was excellent too. If I visit Wuxi again, I will definitely choose to stay here.

The hotel's decor style is great, the room was clean and tidy, no strange smells, and fully equipped, which was a relief. The front desk service was warm and welcoming, they proactively helped with arrangements, were always accommodating, and even gave me a quiet room on a higher floor. The breakfast selection was also rich and varied, and the price was reasonable. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will choose this hotel brand again next time. Happy with everything, full five-star review!

The hotel is conveniently located next to Vientiane City Shopping Mall, making dining and shopping very easy. It's also less than 10 kilometers from popular attractions like Lihu Lake, Yuantouzhu Park, Nanchan Temple Ancient Street, and Huishan Ancient Town. The room was spacious, clean, and bright, and the service was attentive and friendly. Free parking was a big plus. The breakfast spread was excellent, and I'd especially like to thank the breakfast restaurant manager (a lady) for thoughtfully providing slippers for my child. That was a really sweet touch!

My family and I have a wonderful stay and received excellent hospitality during our recent stay at the Grand Kingtown Hotel. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The view was absolutely great and made the entire experience even more enjoyable and relaxing. I would also like to especially thank your staff (in particular菜菜）for the superb service and warm hospitality throughout our stay. Her attentiveness and professionalism truly made a difference and made me feel very welcomed. I truly appreciate the excellent service and look forward to staying with you again in the future.

Hygiene: The room was quite clean, with no obvious stains. The cleaning staff were friendly and proactively greeted me, even telling me where the restaurant was. Environment: Lush greenery and an expansive view, offering a distant glimpse of Yuantouzhu. The downside is that it's quite far from the core scenic area compared to Sakura Villa and Taigong Sanatorium. Also, walking the internal garden paths felt a bit underwhelming, just showing garden views, which makes it less impressive than other state guesthouses. Service: The front desk staff were excellent; they resolved issues promptly after check-in and were very considerate of guests. The breakfast included with our stay was decent, but if I had bought it separately through a group deal, I honestly think the price (over 100 RMB) would be a bit disappointing – just 'okay.' Perhaps my expectations were too high. Facilities: (My extremely negative rating here is specifically for the swimming pool service) I want to say that if the pool is a constant selling point, then the supporting services need to keep up. You shouldn't neglect hotel guests just because you're prioritizing those who pay extra for tickets. I went to the ground floor pool around 4 PM on Saturday. The attendant said all lockers were full. I was surprised because male guests were still entering and exiting. He claimed all 20+ women's lockers were full. I understood and left my number, asking to be called when a spot opened up. It was 8:40 PM (the pool closes at 10 PM) when I returned to the pool, and the same attendant greeted me, again saying there were no lockers. By this point, I was furious. Five hours and no female guest had left? The attendant said new guests kept coming in (which begs the question: what's the point of registering if that's the case?). I said I'd just sit nearby and wait to see if anyone left. Five minutes later, a female guest finished swimming and left. After she was gone, I went to the service desk again to ask if I could enter. A different female attendant was now on duty. She explained that this guest hadn't used a locker, so there were still no new wristbands available. At this point, I was truly speechless. Why didn't they explain this to guests earlier? If you don't need a locker, you can go straight in to swim – just don't bring valuables. So, the previous attendant completely failed to mention this and just let hotel guests wait pointlessly, right??? I finally got in around 9 PM. To be honest, there were probably about 36 lockers in the women's changing area, and at least 16 women in the pool. I honestly don't care if there are lockers or not. Perhaps the pool is outsourced, leading to this double standard for hotel guests. But seriously, this swimming pool incident really marred what was otherwise a quite good travel experience. I hope the hotel strengthens its oversight.

This was my first stay at an Atour hotel, and I was quite impressed. The hygiene was top-notch, and I also got to try out the gym and laundry room, both of which were excellent. Parking was super convenient for those driving, and the service was very attentive; any issues I had were addressed promptly. The hotel is brand new and not far from the attractions.

The hotel's location is really convenient for getting around. They offer a complimentary late-night snack bar, which was a thoughtful touch. Our room was clean and tidy, and the view from the window was lovely. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and even upgraded our room, thank you!

The hotel has just opened, the whole is quite new, the front desk is very warm, the details are in place, the staff are basically young people, the service is very thoughtful, the room is quite big and clean. The hotel is equipped with free parking, parking is very convenient, but the hotel location is around the car 4s store, there are no shops and places to eat around, eating to run far, if you don't buy breakfast, it will be a bit inconvenient.

Every year, my family of three visits the Lingshan Grand Buddha, and each time we choose a different hotel. This year, we opted for the Marriott, and even though it's about a 40-minute drive from the Buddha, we felt it was well worth it. Not only is the hotel's interior beautiful, but the scenery right across the street is also stunning! Liyuan Garden is just a short walk away, and we happened to catch their hydrangeas exhibition. The gardens were bursting with flowers, full of summer charm, and bustling with visitors. We stayed for two nights, and the breakfast was superb, offering both Western and Chinese options. The Wuxi xiaolongbao (steamed soup dumplings) and egg pancakes were absolutely delicious! For dinner at the Chinese restaurant, I'd say the steamed whitefish was the highlight; the fish was incredibly fresh and tender! White shrimp wasn't available at the time, but the silverfish soup was also exceptionally good. Furthermore, all the hotel staff were very polite and provided attentive and thoughtful service. We were all very satisfied.

Stayed at Holiday Inn Express Taihu with friends, and it was a great choice! The location is fantastic, very convenient for getting around, right next to MixC shopping mall and the subway. The room was clean, and the breakfast was plentiful. Big shout out to the front desk staff for their excellent service. Highly recommend!
