Gondwana City Green ★★★
"Good hotel. It is close to the wet market, within walking distance to the city and all amenities."
Hilton Noumea la Promenade Residences ★★★★
"If you're staying in Noumea, New Caledonia, this is a fantastic location! We stayed here for the last two days of our 6-day trip. We didn't use the pool, but the beach was right there, the views were great, and restaurants were just a 2-3 minute walk away. The area felt safe, and we were very satisfied. There were three bedrooms, and though there were only two of us, we almost had too much space! The cleaning staff didn't seem to be fluent in English, but they were very friendly and communicated with gestures. The front desk also helped us book a shared shuttle bus to the airport, which was a huge help. For some reason, I couldn't charge my phone unless the bedside light was on; even though there was a separate switch for it, I couldn't turn it off. So I ended up sleeping with the light on. 😂😭"
Gondwana City Art ★★
"Friendly and attentive staff, very clean, modern and fresh, great location!"
DoubleTree by Hilton Noumea Ilot Maitre Resort ★★★★
"Could there be more ferry departures? Could the last ferry depart later in the evening? Sometimes I'm in a rush after dinner."
Hotel Beaurivage ★★★
"Great and very clean, we stayed for one night during a stopover. They provided a sofa bed for my son. Very clean bedding and an iron, excellent service."
Hotel le Paris ★★★
"I arrived very late, close to midnight, and had sent the hotel an email notifying them of this. However, I never received any reply. On arrival, though, reception was open and I was quickly checked in by a friendly receptionist who spoke some English – not much, but we got along. My "deluxe" room on the second floor was, according to the floor plan, the smallest room on the whole floor and the only one without a bathtub. Nothing deluxe about it, quite the opposite. The hotel really lives up to its name, Le Paris, as Paris is full of these ubiquitous three star hotels with dated, cramped rooms. My room felt reasonably clean, however, it reeked of decades of cigarette smoking and could really use a refresh. There was a soft bed called a double, but it would be narrow for two, a desk and chair as well as a fridge that was not turned on. The safe worked, the A/C was effective and the wifi was reliable albeit a little slow. There was a clock on the wall, however, it did not work. There were no water bottles in the room, but they had some for sale downstairs. The bathroom was small and came with a shower cubicle where the handheld shower had good water pressure and ample hot water. The only amenities provided were two wall-mounted containers: hand soap and a combined hair and body soap. Check-out time was 10:30 am, which must be the earliest check-out time I have ever seen. A "late" check-out at noon would have incurred an extra charge of approx. 25 €. I could levae my bag at reception for a few hours on checking out, though. I stayed here for one night because I had a late arrival and I also wanted to see the city centre before moving to a beach hotel in Anse Vata. For this purpose, the hotel did its job, but I would not be happy staying here for more than one night. The hotel enjoys a very central location two blocks from Place des Cocotiers and is within easy walking distance to anything in the city centre. The cathedral is right behind the hotel, and you are reminded by this each hour as the church bells ring, day and night. I paid 71 €, no breakfast included, and felt the hotel was more or less worth the price."
Hôtel du Centre ★★★
"I stayed here as a guest in January 2024. The hotel is out of the city centre and on the opposite side to the well regarded costal strip where there are a range of resorts and beaches. The hotel is really aimed toward business travellers or quick weekend/overnights - it is not a resort at all. The rooms are clean and really good for a nights sleep; you would want to head out each day and most likely have a car, again most areas you may want to visit are not close by. As a tip don’t arrive before 3pm, I arrived at 2pm after a flight from Australia and was told quite clearly no check in until 3, they didn’t even often to store my luggage so it was back to the car to fill in some time."
Le Domaine Nouméa, Series by Marriott ★★★★★
"80 square meter room with ocean view, 40,000 yen per night is a bargain The bathtub was so big that I soaked in it many times. We recommend bringing bath salts. I bought some side dishes and wine at the supermarket and drank it in my room. When I asked the hotel for side dishes, they heated them for me. If walking, Cross the parking lot of Chateau Royal next door. Or enter from the beach But it's a shortcut."
Hôtel le Lagon ★★★★
"Staff and hotel are very accomodating during a time when the airport was closed and tourists required to stay longer than intended. All of the staff were friendly, greeting you with warmth and doing all the can to look after you. Hotel in a very good location. Very short walk to the beach and restaurants. Pharmacy and mini marts nearby for any supplies as well. I hope to come back to Noumea one day and would gladly stay at Le Lagon Hotel"
