"This is a hotel with great views over the water hole- and superb bird feeding experience in the afternoon. The food was good with lots of choice. The rooms Are very basic and tired with showers having poor looking grout. It’s cold at night but the hot water bottle was a very welcome sight. The staff are friendly and knowledgable with a great talk in the evening about the park and animals."

"We finally had a night here after coming to Kenya regularly for 30 years. We were self driving with our son and daughter-in-law and were thrilled to see a family of giant forest hogs cross the road on our way through the forest for lunch! We had time to try all the viewing options in the afternoon before it really poured with rain. However the buzzer system worked and we saw more than we expected. The lecture by Stephen on Elephants and animal behaviour was a high point. The small double bed less so, I had forgotten my rule to book twin beds when in doubt! Bird life was an unexpected bonus."
