"I had booked two rooms at this hotel for four nights with their website and had confirmation email from three weeks earlier. Arrived at 7.30pm after five hour drive to be told my booking had been cancelled that afternoon as they do not accept American Express although they took booking and confirmed. No phone call even made. The chap on the front desk was utterly useless and could and would not help just said they had no rooms, not his problem Be aware also that the hotel looks noting like the photos and more like a compound with security fencing all around with waist high weeds. Actually turned out to be a blessing. Avoid at all costs."

"II would love to be able to leave a review but sadly when we arrived and finally found someone to talk to we were told they had no available room and should have booked . I handed over my email registration from them and he shrugged and said he still hadn't a room. I have to say the hotel looked very scruffy and I was glad we didn't stay. In fairness he phoned another hotel for us about 200metres away and we stayed there"

"Hotel to avoid at all costs!!! No air conditioning (even though it wasn't specified otherwise)!! Absolutely no cleanliness (I found cockroaches in my room). Cleaning staff who barge in without knocking (they scared the hell out of me)!! The bedding was completely worn out (mattress with a sagging middle, torn pillow/pillowcase). The only positive point was the friendly young man at reception, despite the situation. Worse than a first-class hotel. The only advice I didn't receive was: Avoid this hotel. I was fooled once, but not twice!!!"

"I stayed at this hotel, and they agreed to refund my money, but unfortunately, the hotel manager never replies to my email, and nobody at the reception is able to answer questions about my refund! They have provided me with the receipt of refund, which mentions they owe me a refund of one night. Also, on the first day, my T-shirt was missing from the room when I came back in the evening! I think people should find a safe and professional alternative if they need to stay in Orleans!"

"Fantastic. Like staying in a piece of history. The breakfast may be “continental,“ but it is sublime and completely filling. Almost like having your own castle. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back. also, there is easy access to the path along the river that goes past more châteaus and through a beautiful wood."
