"Convenient & cheap overnight stop with quick access back onto motorway yet quiet & calm. Shame about the restaurant side ! Arriving week day on way south told closed cos. chef on holiday ! 🫣 On return Saturday journey north arrived to be told restaurant not open weekends 😳 Restaurants open in outskirts of Alencon a 10 min drive."

"This was the hotel selected for a coach tour. New when I saw that a continental breakfast would be supplied, however, no other meals were available. With the hotel being 20 walk from the main town area, it was not suitable for everyone to get food. Local deliveries when busy. The bar even ran out of beer. Room is basic but quiet. Would have been nice to have a kettle at least in the room."

"We had a lovely, spacious suite.with a view of the countryside and our own private terrace. Very peaceful and lovely gardens to walk around. Dinner was excellent and so enjoyable sitting outside on a warm summer evening. Staff are charming and helpful. Wish we had had more time to spend there."

"On the way to the Castle of Carrouges, we stayed at the Lion of Gold restaurant in Ecouché-les-Vallées. Good pick: after a warm welcome, the housemaster guided us to a beautiful and comfortable room with a spacious sheep table. The unique formula of the midday offers a varied and appetiteful buffet followed by exquisite slices of a soft cow roast and sweet with its garment, served by the cook in person. The "home" desserts, certainly classic, were particularly delicious, all for a very reasonable price. Therefore, very favourable impression that contrasts with the latest review published by Trip Advisor under Mike Prior: " .... Something wrong with the hotel, but the male grossness, the presumed owner, was unprecedented. The spirit of time is the most hostile to the "male" (metoouesque androphobia?) especially if it is a good idea to be our owner? The barbe that served us very courteously last noon has not inspired us a so severe judgment. Honni be who man thinks!"

"The hotel is moderns and reasonably priced and well located in a quiet area within the city of Flers. Shower was good. Good safe and dry bike storage in the roomy underground garage. Good variety of restaurants close by. We didn’t bother with breakfast."

"Secure parking was a must for us, and this was provided here, free. Check in was easy, pleasant man on reception was also able to recommend a nearby restaurant, which we used, and had a lovely meal. Our room was large with tea/ coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable and large. We had a walk in shower, the water pressure was good and the water was hot. I like the squeezy soap bottles on the wall, as there's always plenty! Breakfast was lovely, no hot food available but plenty of everything and no pressure to eat up and go. Lovely dining room. We only stayed one night, to break up a long journey, but I would recommend this hotel and would stay again."

"A very basic chain hotel with very little character The room was small but generally clean. We used it as a stopover. Nothing around in the immediate vicinity. The restaurant opposite appears to have closed so we walked a short distance to the Buffalo Grill. "

Great location, superior room well worth the money, good.size with all the amenities, clean with good size tv and good Wfi. and big comfortable bed Although slightly shabby from the outside, once inside very good decor, clean and good layout without being too formal,nice bar area with helpful and attentive staff.Close to railway station with attractive landscape. Only 5 mins walk to centre of town which is pretty with vast array of flower arrangements. Jules was an exceptional host and very attentive to ensuring you enjoyed your stay.Tip, best to rebook Restaurants as they are very busy during the holiday period"
