"My first thought was that we'd landed in 1978 and Mr Rourke and Tattoo were inviting us to Fantasy Island, my second thought was that the Thamesmead Estate from South London had been dumped on another lake which is called a lido but you can't do anything on it. My third thought was OMG, where on earth are we with the harsh architecture, lovely gardens but grubby mostly everywhere, exceedingly faded & tired paintwork, trip hazards galore on the paved walkways, the corridors of an inner London 1950s social housing estate. Don't start me on the lazy and discourteous service at the lakeside cafe which was our food worst experience for 5 days of Sardinia hospitality. In the self catering apartment the hot water ran out, the electric tripped as we had 2 domestic appliances working, and the sofa/ sofa bed collapsed upon us as we sat. Room was tidy to be fair but thankfully the previous occupier had left a scented candle which we could use to mask the peculiar smells. In 2024 the WiFi only exists near the reception. The only saving grace were the two lads in the shop who made us a smashing Italian ham bap for our takeaway lunch for our days cruise. The beach area too was ok and would be great for families as it's safe to swim. Think twice about booking this timewarp of a holiday complex, unless of course you're a fan of the 1970's."
