"In general we had a pleasant time at Joe Fisherman Inn. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was simple, but it was convenient to have it available and it tasted good. Additionally, every day some hornbills stopped by to get some water melon or toast. One star is deducted as the rooms have grown in the tooth and there was sometimes a sewer smell from the drain in the bathroom. The rooms and the hotel are kept sparse and somehow carelessly equipped. All in all, the money for value ratio is good and we had a nice stay."

"We stayed with our 3 generation family in this hotel. We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the island. The beach is right across the street. There are some shops across the street but also more shops and restaurants on 10 minutes walking distance. We chose the hotel mainly for its pool and it did not disappoint. We had the pool to ourselves most of the times. Breakfast was surprisingly good. There is variation, Asian and western food, coffee machine and fruits. Compliments to the restaurant staff who went to the kitchen to arrange freshly baked potato wedges without sauce for the kids for their breakfast! In general, the service was great and I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Pangkor island."

"The hotel is cute and clean. Everything is clean which is great. The lobby is hot though and i assume they are trying to keep the electricity bill low, but it gives off a funky smell if the vents is off so maybe just think of a better way to welcome the guest. Location is great and just a minute walk to the beach."

"Overall is a good stay. We went on weeekdays. Had a good sleep. There's mamak, dessert store and 7 eleven in the same street downstairs. They upgraded our bed size to king-sized bed, which is really kind of them. We were initially assigned to a room without windows, and I looked back to my booking and there's window mentioned. I requested to change to a room with window, as I personally like rooms with window for ventilations and less humid. They changed the room for us immediately. The aircon was dripping and you can hear water taps running in the next room. But it's ok. Other than that, we had a good sleep."

"We stayed five nights at Puteri Bayu Beach Resort. The location directly on the beach is nice, and Pasir Bogak is a pleasant and quiet area. However, the hotel itself feels old and quite run down. The facilities are clearly in need of renovation. There was no WiFi available during our entire stay. We were told that a storm had damaged the antenna, but it was not fixed during the five nights we were there. This was disappointing. Breakfast was also below expectations and quite basic. Overall, the beach location is the main positive point, but the hotel does not currently match the price or expectations for comfort."
