"It was a little disappointing when the receptionist was being quite unprofessional as I approached her for a spare room card. She told me that the guest was British after I told her my surname meaning that she didn't consider that a Chinese person can be British, how backwards and ****** such behavior this is. Lack of exposure might be the answer ;however, I was expecting a lot more from a 4 star establishment. Must I stress that the reason we conversed in Mandarin is a respect to the local staff yet it always backfires in situation like this. More training should be provided."

"I was pleasantly surprised by their overall service and accommodations …. and great selections of breakfast . And they proved to be biker friendly…. allowing me to take my bike to my room for safekeeping."

"Pet-friendly! I initially noticed it was a renovated motel and saw some reviews mentioning smoke smell or cleanliness issues, which made me a bit worried. However, once we checked in, none of those problems were present at all. It felt like they had used an air purifier. The floors and bed were very clean. They even provided water bowls, food bowls, and a potty pad for our pet. The bathroom was huge, and the room was very spacious with a dining table and chairs. My husband and I are both very satisfied. We would definitely choose this place again if we come back to Tainan."

"Great place to stay in Tainan. Super close to the train station. Lovely quiet room at the end of the corridor overlooking the (empty) swimming pool. Friendly service, and a nice touch with snacks available at 9pm. The hotel is older (still need a physical key to unlock the room door) but it's in great condition. We didn't eat there, so cannot comment on the food or restaurant. We thought it was very reasonably priced for our Sunday night stay and would happily book again."

"I stayed here on a weekday and found it to be pretty good value for money. Although check-in isn't until 8 PM, a 12 PM check-out is still convenient. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but there's a Pxmart, Poya, and convenience store nearby, so you don't have to worry about not finding anything to eat. The room was spacious, but the bathtub had a lot of human residue. I didn't notice it at first when filling the tub, but then I looked closely and realized I could easily feel it just by touching it, which was a bit disgusting. Other than that, everything else was actually quite good."

"The location is excellent, just a 3-5 minute walk to Haian Road Art Street, the bustling Guohua Street, Zhengxing Street for a leisurely stroll, and the waterfront Hele Plaza! There's an underground parking lot nearby on Haian Road, so parking is quite easy. The hotel also has two paid parking spaces, which need to be booked in advance and are a bit pricey, but convenient! It used to be Pinji Hotel, then Ningshui Cultural Hotel, and now it's called Weil Cultural Hotel, but the basic layout remains similar. They no longer provide single-use toiletries, so you'll need to bring your own! You can also purchase them on-site (around NT$20 each). There's a PX Mart, FamilyMart, and 7-Eleven just around the corner, making it convenient to buy snacks, drinks, and daily necessities! The hotel has a water dispenser for drinking water. The room rate offers good value for money on weekdays, but prices are higher on weekends! There are also scooter parking spaces right outside. The room furniture is well-arranged, with a TV, mini-fridge, clothes rack, hairdryer, etc. The bathroom is spacious and not cramped, and the hot water supply is normal. However, the sink is a bit small, and water tends to splash out. This time, we stayed in a triple room again, and two nights were okay. I just kept noticing an intermittent musty smell in the bathroom, which I recommend they check."

"The hotel room was clean and basic for the most part and a few small bugs in the bathroom, but nothing major. 4 bottles of water are included and slippers. Beds are firm and comfortable and pillows are ok. However, if you are allergic to napthelene (moth balls), then stay away as the place is strong smelling of moth balls though the room doesn't have a closet or wardrobe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The bathroom is very basic without a door rack to hang your clothes and the shower partition is only enough to shield the toilet from splashes and without any sliding doors. Toilet doesn't accept toilet paper, so you'll need to put into the provided waste basket. The young lady at the counter was generally helpful, but in a basic kind of way. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the Taiwan railway station in ”downtown” kind of area. The lobby looked big, clean, and decent with a ”putting green” off to the side. The room is quiet, though there are people talking loudly as they check in late at night. The lobby “free wifi” connects, but has no internet service. Room wifi is unsecured, so make sure you have a vpn or use it for unimportant things. They also provide a free luggage storage service before you check in so you can sightsee without lugging your luggage around town. Overall, it’s a good choice for a basic short stay at a very convenient location. The price is also very good. Recommended choice for your next Tainan trip."

The staff were friendly and professional, making us feel right at home from the moment we checked in. Our room was clean and comfortable, the bed was soft and provided a great night's sleep, and the quiet, relaxing environment allowed us to fully recover from our travels. The most delightful surprise was the live piano performance during breakfast. Paired with the exquisite and delicious food, it added a wonderful sense of occasion and made our mornings even more enjoyable."
