"The only place to stay in Yuanyang! Jacky speaks perfect English, probably the only one in this area ;P . He arranged everything from pick up in Kunming to day trips around the guesthouse. Room had a perfect view, and the rooftop was so peaceful and beautiful I enjoyed it more than the scenic spots! Uncle Bai who brought us around was a true blue local who knew all the hidden best spots you wouldn't get to with the usual tourist buses. The walk and views at Moon terrace was amazing. The restaurant next door was really good too, we didn't need to go anywhere else in the 2 nights we were here. All in all a perfect picturesque stay in Yuanyang. Oh and rooms are spotlessly clean, beds are comfortable and heater and hot water works perfect!"

"I also booked this room for my elders, and I wrote a very detailed review in my previous post. In summary: the room decor rivals a star-rated hotel, the bedding is very clean and hygienic, and the owner thoughtfully pre-heats the electric blanket and heater. The roads in the village are very narrow, and private cars aren't allowed in. Just park on a nearby street or in a parking lot and contact the owner to pick you up. The owner is an excellent driver; he maneuvers his minivan through corners and turns like a pro, and he even helps carry luggage up to the room. Finally, you absolutely *must* listen to the owner's advice for sightseeing – it's incredibly detailed and will save you a lot of money, time, and effort. And be sure to try the food cooked by the proprietress; it's organic, healthy, fresh, and delicious. I recommend the local specialties I tried: dried beef, Hani cured meat, tree flower scrambled eggs, and stir-fried bitter greens. The other dishes and complimentary breakfast are also super tasty! This guesthouse exceeded our expectations and gets a perfect score; my entire family was satisfied 👍 Thank you to the owner and his family for their warm and dedicated service. "Nestled in the breathtaking terraced fields scenic area, Flower Nest offers a stunning panorama from its private viewing platform. It's like a living landscape painting unfolding before your eyes, with misty terraced fields seemingly within reach. The guesthouse's design beautifully blends with nature, and the service is incredibly attentive and warm, from the owner to the aunties. Even though the Hani aunties don't speak Mandarin, their friendliness and enthusiasm are infectious. Whether for sightseeing, relaxation, or photography, this place is a perfect choice. Some might say the only minor drawback is the 160 steps you need to climb [chuckles], but for me, it was an amazing experience. Walking along the picturesque path with the auntie carrying our luggage was an absolute delight."

"This guesthouse boasts an excellent location for viewing the Duoyishu Rice Terraces. After staying for two days and comparing numerous guesthouses along the Duoyishu Terraces, I can confidently say this one has a large and well-positioned viewing deck. I highly recommend it for anyone planning to catch the sunrise at the Duoyishu viewing platform. You won't need to rush there early and battle crowds; instead, you can leisurely photograph the sunrise right from the guesthouse's deck. Duoyishu Terraces are often foggy, and sunrises can be elusive, so it's a good idea to check the weather forecast beforehand. If it's foggy, you can simply wait comfortably in your room for the sun to break through before heading down. The guesthouse is built into the hillside, so cars can't drive directly to the entrance. While there's a parking lot, it's a short walk from there to the guesthouse. The hostess will meet you with an electric scooter to help with your luggage, so I'd advise packing light. The owners are a local couple; the husband cooks and the wife handles guests, and they are both very friendly. The room insulation could be better, but overall, its minor flaws are easily overlooked. Recommended!"

"The best accommodation experience in this southeast trip to Shanghai, the price is less than the net red store next door 1/3, but the experience is directly full 💯 1. The room experience is excellent. Clean and hygienic, the space is much larger than the picture, and the bedding is comfortable. The boss's green environmental protection concept is very international. Who knows the joy of stepping barefoot on the wooden floor without dust? 2. The geographical position is superior. Most of the B&Bs in Duoyishu Village are on the mountain road, in scale. The blue stone path leads people to the mountain, and there is a sense of accident in Tao Gong's writing. A single-door courtyard, parking is possible, and the terraced mountain view is outside the window. Two kilometers away from Azheke, 15 minutes walk from Duoyishuzhai Observation Deck. 3. Lucky to meet the fairy boss Greg. The boss built and cared for the station as a paradise, introducing us to every plant inside and outside the garden of the hotel, every small flower, and every fruit tree, with light in his eyes. Take us on foot to feel the original village that has not been commercialized, go to the ”free but the landscape does not lose the paid” observation deck to see the magnificent terraces, chat with the villagers in the village, and hide under the canopy of the village and peel corn with the villagers uncle when it rains. On the foot, I helped me take care of Hum Xiaoxu and the mother behind Haha, I recommended us to go to Niujiaozhai to go to the market to eat barbecue...Knowledge ➕ experience ➕ fun ➕ emotional value is full. The most meaningful thing about traveling is to meet interesting people. I am very lucky to meet the hotel owner who has similar ideas and helped you worry about it. I accidentally chatted and asked a lot before I knew that the boss graduated from Fudan University’s finance department, Xueba + Traveler + VIP private teacher, I don’t know how many tags are there. 😃 The most delicious meal of the trip. Four meals are eaten at the homestay. Don’t worry about what to eat. Just give it to the boss to arrange it. The Hani sister Ma Kui is cooking. There are surprises. The peanut taro stem pumpkin flower soup is amazing to the taste buds. The mint fried ribs are empty. The fried sweets are fresh and the eyebrows are dropped. My baby loves the tree flower scrambled eggs. White water stew is fat and not greasy. The baby and marquee mother picked water stews in the yard and made soup. All meals the whole family likes. After leaving, they return to the city to eat. ps: The water pipes of the hotel and the water wells in the village are all direct drinking water, the entrance is sweet, the people in the clear Leiyu, and there is no diarrhea. There is no need for softening to wash your hair 😭 (Quietly say: the boss's hiking private guide + research and learning explanation is placed in the four digits of Beishangguangde, and it is actually free to give ...)"

"Everything was so nice. I really enjoyed my time here! It started perfect with a free room upgrade. Then, it continued to be perfect with lots of cuddles with the dog and cat. I love the location of the guesthouse. It’s in the middle of a Hani village. You can watch the farmers doing their incredible work. You can make nice walks here. And the hosts is really helpful and can give you great advice. I am a country side girl and for me this place was absolutely perfect to calm my soul."

"The location is very good, walking distance to the terraces! The room is very good, and it matches the photos and descriptions, but the service was almost non-existent. When we arrived we were received only by kids and a teenager checked us in. No adults were seen on site until the last day of our 3-day stay. On our first morning, we were woken up by a couple trying to enter our room because the kids had checked them in and gave them the key to our room! It was supposed to have breakfast included, but there was no one there to even ask about it. Internet did not work 2 out of the 3 days we were there. Neither did the hot water. I understand that some of these things might be because it's off-season, but if they can't offer services like breakfast, they should not include it in the hotel description."

"The inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!"

"First of all, I like the decoration style of the room, it is very clean. Pictures 5, 6, and 7 are not the room types I booked. I passed by other rooms that were not occupied and they were so beautiful that I couldn't help but take pictures outside the door. The living room is also beautiful, but I forgot to take a panoramic photo. There is a cute cat, super clingy. You can watch the sunrise directly from the rooftop. It is also close to the Duoyishu Observation Deck. It is not convenient to have breakfast here, but the inn provides it. Rooms without breakfast need to pay an additional 10 yuan, which is a reasonable price. There is also a restaurant next to it, which is convenient for eating and tastes good. Parking is convenient. In short, I am satisfied!"
